I have twins who are five years old and an eight-year-old child. They all enjoy playing different card games, but none of them are very good at shuffling cards. That's been fixed by this card shuffler! Even when our family plays Uno together, I prefer to use it so I don't have to shuffle a larger deck divided into two piles and then combine the two smaller heaps. This completes the task and does a respectable job doing it. One of my five-year-old twins successfully shuffles the cards, as you can see in the video. The entire thing is made of plastic, so I do wonder if it will withstand use, but so far, so good. The plastic drawer is quite flimsy and drops out effortlessly if you move the shuffler; as a result, it is easily lost or broken. A card will occasionally be drawn in the opposite way from the direction it was fed into the shuffled pile, although this has only happened a few times out of the many times we've already used it. It occasionally jams as well, but since you are turning it manually, you can stop immediately, spin it half a turn backward, and the issue is typically resolved straight away. Some people might not like manual operation, but at least I don't have to worry about batteries, and if a card jams, it's simple to stop and rectify the issue. I still believe that this shuffler is an excellent product for families with younger children who cannot shuffle by hand or if you're seeking for an easy way to shuffle huge quantities rapidly, despite the few flaws or worries.

The shuffler is great. Our first one arrived at Christmas in 2017. We didn't realize how much we would need this fantastic device. When we play the card game golf with four friends, we use five decks. We shuffle the decks mid-game and at the end when we put the cards up when we play daily just the two of us. Our arthritic hands thank you for this lifeline. Now, we shuffle three times during the middle of the game and three times at the finish. For 15 months, our first shuffler operated. Keep the wheels free of card dust, and if it starts acting up, change the batteries. The new one initially had some shuffling issues, but it now functions just as well as our old one. When the spring in the card catcher broke, we required a replacement.

This works perfectly. Please be aware that the crank is kept at the unit's bottom. You must take it out of that place and put it in the back. Many individuals seem to believe that theirs was supplied without a crank. Check the bottom, please. A lot of folks seem to be upset because it is made of cheap plastic and that the hand crank malfunctions or breaks. This item costs $15. Look into the professional units; they cost more than $150. You should definitely use plastic carefully if you're paying $15 for it. This won't break if you're careful, and it will function perfectly for you. Simply give it a gentle push with your finger if one side isn't moving; it's probably just not placed properly on the wheel. Not a difficult concept. It's a $15 unit once more. Sorry if my review came off as unpleasant, but I'm sick and tired of people giving items negative reviews just because they didn't read the instructions or weren't being careful with something they should have been.

I knew I wouldn't be happy after reading reviews of the battery-operated card shufflers. (I didn't want to use brand-new cards, wouldn't have the patience for regular jams, and would be quite annoyed if it didn't last long.) I decided to get the manual one, and it turns out I was right!The advantage of utilizing a manual shuffler is that you can detect when cards begin to misfeed and stop to make adjustments before a major jam-up occurs. A little motor could easily burn out if there are too many jam-ups. I can utilize worn-out or even dog-eared cards with the hand-operated shuffler as long as I set my own pace appropriately.My satisfaction with this manual shuffler is HIGH. Five decks of cards are used in our card game, so shuffle by hand was a big pain. We can get through the entire stack with the help of this shuffler in a couple of runs, and we no longer fear having to shuffle and deal.Although we can't handle this unit hard or expect it to endure for 40 years because it is constructed of very light weight plastic, after using it for a few weeks, we can tell that it does work well under frequent use and should last long enough to be a wonderful deal!

This has worked successfully with a variety of board games that have shuffled card stacks in them. I enjoy it most when there are either too few or too many to shuffle by hand. I believe that the mechanism prevents the cards from being bent and damaged, which would occur with frequent hand shuffling. In any case, I've never been very good at shuffling. I originally bought it for card games that require a lot of shuffling, like Dominion or Orcs, Orcs, Orcs.I gave up on a version of The Hobbit that had eight stacks of event and adventure cards since it does take longer than manually shuffling the deck because you have to load and unload the deck each time. It simply took too long. For Terraforming Mars, it was delightful to just feed the four-inch (or so it seemed) stack of cards into the shuffler and draw them out as the tray filled. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to shuffle so many cards.The cards come out on the incorrect side for me since, as a right-handed person, it's awkward to use the handle on the left and in the opposite way you'd like to spin it. I couldn't say whether it would be more comfortable for a left-handed person, though. It still functions flawlessly; I just pick it up the incorrect way every time.

We truly enjoy the shuffler because it shuffles evenly and thoroughly and performs as promised. Fire needs to be aware that the card holder in the card holders—which holds the cards after they have been shuffled—is held by two very small posts on the shuffler. They are not firmly attached to the machine, and they fall off on the first chef where we had them. We were able to find the one, and we superglued it on, so the machine worked for years. Additionally, if people eat while playing cards, which is typical, the machine might become slightly more difficult to shuffle due to oils. We couldn't find the black small post that held the card shuffler on, so we returned the machine we had purchased and received a replacement very away, so we were happy with that. As soon as we open the package, we will superglue the posts to it.

We have a Canasta card group that gets together once a month for supper and games, with the host changing each time. We typically play 4 players per table as 2 teams with 20 players total. Three hands are used to play the canasta game. I organize the gathering and provide the card shufflers. We play Canasta with three decks, hence four deck shufflers are used. We discover that it takes four shuffles to get the cards entirely random. Hand shuffling the cards would take a very long time to generate randomness. The shufflers are frequently used. When new and utilizing new cards, they function fantastically. Usually after 2 to 3 years of heavy use, they can start to miss-shuffle as cards become bent and worn, batteries drain, and shufflers age. At this time, we replace them. A minimum of 1,000 decks of 54 cards have been shuffled by each shuffler by that point. We used to purchase them in groups of 12 at a time at the Mesa, Arizona, Swap Meet for $8 apiece. Our current price on Amazon.com is roughly double that. Still affordable considering how much fun they added.
