The best training aid I've ever used for dogs. One TINY "puff" on this whistle calms the "barkers" I have. I am a member of the "National Do Not Call" list for telemarketers, which is an added bonus. Fox40 whistles have always been a favorite of mine. The issue with them is that they eventually become soiled. Not simple to clean, especially if the plastic is severely scratched. I decided to try Michael Josh whistle after a buddy suggested it, and I was not disappointed. Although not as loud as Fox40, this whistle is still audible. But I believe Michael Josh's whistle is simpler to blast. It only takes a tiny puff of air to create a very loud sound. Fox40 has a piercing and harsh sound (higher pitch). Michael Josh has a round voice that makes me think of the British police whistle. When attached to my keychain, it is just as lightweight as Fox40. They are so much simpler to clean, oh my. You can just wash under the running water. just like new! Overall, a whistle I can add to my collection that is really satisfying.

I enjoy cycling a lot. I also needed a more effective technique to signal my presence so I wouldn't have to deal with cars and drivers who don't seem to give a damn about people on bikes. I'm a skydiving instructor, and despite what Hollywood would have you believe, it's difficult to carry on a whole conversation while falling through the air; gusts of 150 mph are typically fairly loud. I started amusing myself by purchasing every "wonder whistle" I could find and testing them in freefall with pals. Seriously.Will it ever be a required component of a skydiver's equipment? These whistles aren't particularly loud, according to a product review I read, and after receiving the item, I was inclined to agree. The whistle was quite quiet when I blew on it—almost muffled. However, it was loud enough when my son (for whom I purchased it, to wear on his life jacket), blew it. To get the loud sound, a small method must be used. While being careful not to come too close to the air hole at the top, you would purse your lips and place them as close to the end of the whistle as you could. With these whistles, not so! You actually need to get your lips as near to the air hole as you can without covering it in order to generate the loudest sound. That is why, in my opinion, this whistle works so well for my 6- and 7-year-old sailors. They lack the dexterity to place their lips carefully. They simply clamp on and blow, and everything goes smoothly. With two whistles included, the pricing is reasonable. I'm happy with my buy.

Because I have three children—a six-year-old girl and four-year-old identical twin boys—I ordered the three-pack of orange-colored gum. I bought these to connect to their life jackets because they love to kayak. after stressing the value of holding back unless absolutely necessary or if they truly required my assistance. Oh my, they are noisy! I allowed them to practice once each at home. They are now safely fastened to their PFDs so that they are always nearby and prepared to act while on the water. We'll keep working with the youngsters to make sure they completely get when it's okay to blow the whistle. With kids who adore toy whistles, this can be challenging. But they have done well thus far thanks to repeated reminders and practice. Even though I try to keep all three in my (or my wife's) line of sight at all times, you can never be too safe or have enough of the correct kind of safety equipment while you are on or around water.
