DOWN UNDER OUTDOORS Large Waterproof Windproof Extra Thick Quilted Fleece Stadium Blanket, Machine Washable Camping Picnic & Outdoor, Beach, Dog, 82 x 55 (red/blue/green) Festival Baseball Folding Rug Review:

This is the best option at the pricing. I bought this so I could watch baseball tournaments outside in the breeze and light rain. There is usually a month in the spring and fall when watching sports might be uncomfortable and call for covers. This works and packs up nicely in a little bag. I won't be asking for the $150 Mambe blanket for Christmas, but for under $30, it will do. It may have seemed a little stiff when it first came out of the bag, but after a few washes and dryings, this quilted blanket is flexible and won't slide around. The fleece underneat is warm and soft, not microfiber plush. It was true to size at 82 x 55 inches. My son and I went outside with two Amazon-related blankets (this and the "XL Plush Fleece Outdoor Stadium Rainproof and Windproof Picnic Blanket - Camp Blanket (Blue)") in a very light rain with a bit of wind, and the wind came right through the XL Plush fleece blanket. The water did dampen the XL Plush fleece blanket.

EKTOS 100% Wool Blanket, Navy Blue, Warm & Heavy 5.5 lbs, Large Washable 66"x90" Size, Perfect for Outdoor Camping, Survival & Emergency Preparedness Use Review:

I severely damaged this object. I initially had the impression that Shadowfax had sent it on Gandalf's behalf. When I opened it, it smelled like chemicals and oil, as many others have also noted. In fact, it made your hands greasy, so I washed it with regular detergent and ran a regular wash cycle with no issues. We have a laundry line, so I hung it up to dry for a bit. When it wasn't completely dried, I got impatient and put it in the low heat dryer. This time, there were no issues. I might give my wife one for our anniversary because she appreciated how huge it was (it covered the top of our king-size bed). Then I brought this along for a weekend camping trip in the wilderness with two of my friends, using it as a blanket, a seat cushion on a wet log (and the wet ground), etc. I spent night one in my hammock and night two on the floor. The item is strong, unquestionably stain- and dirt-resistant, and unquestionably fire-resistant. During the night, I wished it was a foot or two broader to get a better wrap, but it was still functional. This made up for a lot of my errors, but the ground was cold and I didn't have much insulation. It neatly rolls up and fastens to the base of my bag. However, in a good way. You can find blankets made entirely of wool that are superior, as others have noted, but for the price and size of this good-quality item, you can't go wrong.

Horizon Hound Down Camping Blanket - Outdoor Lightweight Packable Down Blanket Compact Waterproof and Warm for Camping Hiking Travel - 650 Fill Power Review:

I have been a year-round, seasoned, and incredibly skilled wilderness traveler, and I could not be more pleased with this gear. It *exactly* matches what I was looking for. There are three main factors that go into every piece of kit when hiking through the wilderness, up and down mountains, for days and nights on end, cut off from civilization: utility, packability, and weight. The greatest option for backpacking in the spring, summer, and fall is without a doubt this blanket. There is nothing that packs down as little and compactly or has a greater weight-to-heat retention ratio than this. If, like me, you're attempting to infer the size and weight from the comments or the images, allow me to explain: This blanket weighs about half as much and is roughly the size of a standard loaf of white bread when it is packed away in the stuff sack that it comes in. But it won't condense as far as this. If you need to, it can be folded down to half its current size. The blanket is the ideal size for one full-size man when it is fluffed, lofted, and fully unfolded. Since I'm 6', this fits me perfectly and doesn't have any extra, unnecessary, or luxuries material. I almost chose a goose-down "throw" instead of a "blanket" since I was concerned it would come with too much material; nonetheless, I'm pleased I didn't. (Other backpackers can see where I'm going with this. Excess is something we detest.) As it is, I have no trouble covering myself entirely with this blanket, nor is there any extra material (i.e., unnecessary weight or space-consuming bulk), it's just the ideal mix of properly satisfying needs without going overboard.Warmth: As I mentioned, this is the ideal spring, summer, and fall substitute for a sleeping bag. Another person alleged that this would only keep you warm between 60 and 70 degrees? I vehemently disagree. If it's 70 degrees outside, I don't even understand why you would need a blanket. As long as you are wearing other layers (clothing) that are at least 45 to 50 degrees below the surface temperature, you may easily keep warm and cozy with this 650 down blanket. The most ridiculous misconception I've ever heard is that if you take off your clothes, you'll keep warmer under insulation.Anyway, that's just my opinion. I wanted to be sure to give this product a positive review for the benefit of the company. I want to express my gratitude for creating such a fantastic product at such an unbelievable value. I also wanted other hikers and backpackers to use this device to their advantage. I couldn't be more content. My weight and pack size have just decreased by pounds. Pounds, not ounces.

Oceas Outdoor Waterproof Blanket Warm Fleece Great for Camping, Outdoor Festival, Beach, and Picnic Use – Extra Large All Weather and Waterproof Throw Blanket Review:

Folks, these five-star evaluations are the real deal! Later this summer, we're taking our kids camping in the mountains, so we wanted something to keep them warm at night. I chose the Oceas Extra Large Waterproof Outdoor Blanket after spending far too much time researching a dozen various blankets and reading hundreds of reviews. I just got this in the mail yesterday, and I'm pleased with it so far. In fact, we've already placed an order for a second! The blanket was neatly packaged with a handle, and it was quite simple to roll it back up and place it in the storage bag. The youngsters absolutely adore how soft the fleece is, according to tests done around the house. They eventually decided to take a snooze on the couch while using it. I really like how big it is! This blanket is surely big enough if you're seeking for something to picnic on. I discovered that the dimensions given were correct. We're glad to have this among our camp supplies! Once we've used it in the real world, we'll update the review (along with additional images).

BEARZ Outdoor Beach Blanket, Waterproof Picnic Blanket 55″x60″ - Lightweight Camping Tarp, Compact Pocket Blanket, Festival Gear, Sand Proof Mat for Travel, Hiking, Sports - Packable w/Bag Review:

Excellent for CAMPING and FESTIVALS!Recently bought and brought to a camping music festival, this excellent blanket has shown to be highly practical and adaptable. Easy to fold or tuck into its carrying pouch and is lightweight (not one of those "never will fit back in after the first time you take it out" situations). Comfortably big enough for 2 to 3 people, it folds out on the ground for a place to sit and is made of a waterproof material that appears to be somewhat dirt-proof as well, so you don't necessarily need to worry about finding a perfectly dry spot or that it will pick up dirt and moisture when you pick it up to stuff it back into its pouch.Additionally, this blanket performed an excellent job of keeping me warm at night when the weather fell! It keeps your body heat in well and may be worn around the waist or shoulders (big enough for two people to share standing side-by-side). If you have an uninsulated hammock out on a chilly night, you can also use the bottom of it to keep your backside warm.Last but not least, this is incredibly helpful for keeping over your head to protect you from the sun or rain (waterproof) (if you forgot your sunscreen).A 5-star camping or festival partner for sure. Extremely compact and lightweight, it fits well within a daypack or when hooked to the exterior. I used it extensively for five days and it still appears brand new.

EKTOS 90% Wool Blanket, Grey, Warm & Heavy 4.4 lbs, Large Washable 66"x90" Size, Perfect for Outdoor Camping, Survival & Emergency Preparedness Use Review:

It's easy because I've been drinking, so look. Don't even take it out of the washing until you've washed it twice, possibly three times. At the end of the cycle, simply add an additional standard amount of detergent, then repeat the process. Due to the sewn edges, dry in the dryer on low heat. Don't do it because if you put it on high heat it can merely shrink. BOOM! odor gone. It's there to prevent bugs from eating it. the substance that is. As far as typical application is concerned, it is safe. Why does that matter? You can keep them around for emergencies if you don't wash them and keep them smelling funky with the chemical to prevent them from being eaten. In essence, you can buy these, toss them in the cellar, safe room, vault, or whatever else you have, and they won't get eaten. Even if they stink, they will keep you warm and cause no harm for a few days. Alternately, you might wash them twice or three times to get rid of the odor and use them frequently like I do.They keep you warm and, in my opinion, are not very scratchy. I'm a little biased, though, because I don't mind wool. I advise you to try using wool if you haven't already. Wool is something that people either love or loathe. Well, if you detest it, survival. Camping, if you don't mind it, and when necessary.

XL Plush Fleece Outdoor Stadium Rainproof and Windproof Picnic Blanket - Camp Blanket (Blue) Review:

I purchased this blanket to use for away baseball games for warmth, wind protection, and rain. It is quite plush. Everyone wants to use my blanket, so I really bought a second one. It is quite lightweight and simple to fold back into the bag. I keep two blankets in my car because it is so little. Only once have I used it, and even then I didn't get wet. It allows the kids to sit on the soggy grass while remaining dry. I am 5'4 "So the spacious 6' x 5' size was ideal for me. My partner is 6' 1" "And it worked for him as well. My only wish, which is a little one, would be for the bag to have a handle rather than a String. Please note that since I reside in Metro Atlanta and we rarely experience below-freezing temperatures, I am unable to comment on how warm I would be in such conditions. However, I have used this in the low 40s and have found it to be extremely comfortable. This blanket was borrowed by a friend to keep their laps dry during a UGA college football game during a downpour when umbrellas were not permitted inside the stadium. This blanket is so cozy!

EKTOS 90% Wool Blanket, Olive Green, Warm & Heavy 4.0 lbs, Large Washable 66"x90" Size, Perfect for Outdoor Camping, Survival & Emergency Preparedness Use Review:

I chose the green 90% wool version of the EKTOS fire retardant-treated wool blanket over the blue 100% or other options because there was no smell when I first opened the bag, negating the need to wash, line dry, deal with fuzzies, and repeat as necessary until I was satisfied. I then sandwiched one of the two blankets I bought between my cozy winter fleece bed sheet and my flannel blanket. I spent $25 on each one, and I'm beyond happy with it in every aspect!

1byhome Beach Blanket 55"x79" Outdoor Picnic Blanket, Waterproof & Sand Free Quick Drying Nylon Outdoor Beach Picnic Mat with with Compact Storage Bag Review:

This cover I would compare it to a nylon tarp because of how smooth, silky, and light it is. You may use the provided stakes to hold it down or in position because each corner has elastic attached to it.Good size for a modest family picnic or a beach date. This blanket is excellent and just as described. To get a true sense of how enormous this blanket will be, I do caution against basing your decision just on the advertising images. The photo is a little misleading, but the blanket is excellent and true to size. Its shape is rectangular, and it is about the size of a twin bed. The images give the impression that it is king- or queen-sized. The only thing that made me hesitate when I first opened it was that.I have nothing negative to say about this blanket other than the fact that I was initially confused by the size. Our three-person family enjoyed it when we were at the beach and is looking forward to having it tonight when we watch fireworks.

Cloudz Compact Travel Blanket - Black Review:

I travel frequently for work, however I forgot my cloudz blanket on the plane. I was terrified. The best travel blanket I've ever used is by far this one. I use it in my lap and wrap it around my legs like a burrito to feel cozy and keep from obstructing the space of my fellow riders.1. It takes up very little space in my backpack and is quite lightweight and compact.2. It offers exactly the right amount of security. I don't feel too hot or cold. Exactly right. This blanket is available from a few airport merchants as well. Also, be sure to get this brand. It is the only one I discovered that is this little.P.S. I suggest a fast iron after you wash and dry it because it does become fluffier after washing.

Are sleeping bags warmer than blankets?

There are a few factors to consider when trying to determine if a sleeping bag or blanket will be warmer. Additionally, sleeping bags are designed to fit snugly around your body, which helps to further trap heat and prevent heat loss. Finally, many sleeping bags have a hood that can be pulled up over your head, providing even more warmth. In general, sleeping bags will be warmer than blankets, but it is important to consider all of the factors before making a decision.
