Quicksilver 8M0061875 Primer Bulb with 2 Hose Clamps for 5/16-Inch (8 mm) Fuel Lines Review:

My 150 HP Mercury Outboard motor was having trouble starting. The bulb felt like it was full of gas when I squeezed it, but the motor took forever to start. Even though the bulb appeared to be full, I believed it was because it wasn't getting enough gas and decided to try a new one. I did, and the bulb functions flawlessly. I can actually feel the gas entering the bulb as I pump it until it is full and tightly sealed. The moment I turn the key, the engine starts going without even really revving. What I had mistaken for a full bulb was actually an ancient, rigidly empty bulb that had simply lost its flexibility due to aging.

Five Oceans 3 Gallon Portable Fuel Tank Low-Permeation w/Gauge FO-4129 Review:

I purchased two of these 3 gallon tanks for my sailboat's 8 hp, 4 cycle Mercury outboard. The overall aesthetic is superb. When filled with gas, the tanks are light and balanced. The screw vent and fuel gauge are conveniently located inside the tank filler lid. When I attached one of the tanks to the engine, my Mercury started up and operated without any issues. This has been an issue with an alternative, more expensive tank brand that is not sold on Amazon. The issues are as follows:In both tanks, the gasoline line connection points were loose when they were first received, which is apparently a quality control issue. They shouldn't be sent in this state because they are simple to fix—just turn the assembly counterclockwise until it won't move any further without tools. Also take note that the gasoline line connection location only accepts fuel line connections that are inline in style. The product description needs to include this. When the tank has the recommended 3 gallons of gas in it, the gas gauge in the tank I have so far filled reads at 5/8. Although there is typically some fluctuation in these gauges, that seems excessive. The first time you use the tank, fill it exactly to 3 gallons for safety's sake, and note the gauge's actual reading on the exterior of the gauge.

Five Oceans Universal Marine Nylon Braided Fuel Line Outboard with Primer Bulb, 3/8", 5/16" Review:

This gasoline line and priming bulb appear to be well-made. It instals simply on the tank and engine and is soft and flexible. Although the line was slightly shorter than my fittings, it crimped down neatly and I have no leaks. Without any issues, the light started the engine. I can't comment on longevity because it was just installed recently.

Scepter 08669 Rectangular Fuel Tank - 12 Gallon Low Profile Review:

Amazing tank! Moving one battery to the other side allowed me to replace the 6 gallon tank in my 2017 Crestliner Storm 1600. However, you'll probably need to get a longer tie down strap. Like others have said, I feel like my motor has more power with this tank than with the OEM tank. I even increased my top speed by 2 mph. Though how a petrol tank could manage that is beyond me. appears to be nicely made and ought to last a long time.

attwood 8803LP2 EPA and CARB Certified 3-Gallon Portable Marine Boat Fuel Tank Review:

Based on the diverse variety of evaluations, I was a little worried about this tank. I thoroughly examined the tank after it arrived, paying particular attention to the vent cap. It is a really good tank, I have to confess. Thick wall, spotless, and warning labels that describe the tank's engineering and indicate that expansion is normal. I'm hooking it up to my 7.5-hp Merc to go fishing; if anything goes wrong, I'll publish it, but the tank seems to be in good shape. Also, 1/4 NPT holes are used on connectors. The hose line attachment required for this tank may be found at this link: https://www.amazon.com/Anderson-Metals-57001-Fitting-Adapter/dp/B002SAO7XQ/ref=pd lpo 86 lp t 4? encoding=UTF8

Perhaps a very small dab of outboard oil to lubricate the threads and prevent galling.A staple is Teflon tape. DO NOT DO IT; Teflon tape bits have been known to contaminate carbohydrates; it is not necessary nor advised.Excellent tank, as will you.
