These were purchased for my husband so that he could store his Mission belts rather of leaving them lying around the house. They work perfectly for the intended function. He can quickly choose the one he wants and determine which would go with what he is wearing because they are all hanging in one location in the closet. One flaw, and the reason I gave it four stars, is that it doesn't quite work with one of my husband's belts. I'm not sure if it's because of this particular buckle, or for some other reason, but when I tested the mechanism on the belt itself, it worked flawlessly with the belt's own under carriage, clicks and releases without a hitch, but not with the hangers. He is unable to hang this particular belt because he is concerned that it will become stuck on the hanger and cease to be a functional belt.

You might wish to take into account my three reasons for not giving it five stars.First off, it occupies more room than I anticipated. By the time you reach the bottom, you have 10 ties that are doubled over and fill your closet with a substantial amount of silk.Second, it's difficult to quickly browse the ties. Only the border or a little portion of the midsection (where it is looped over) of the ties are visible.Finally, it appears shaky. To be clear, it's nicely constructed and appears to be difficult to break. However, the moving parts only barely fit together. Sometimes you have to hold an arm down in the X position to keep it there.A wooden bar with rotating metal clips on the bottom serves as my son's tie organizer. Although it costs more than twice as much as two of these, it performs better. I'm good with this one for my needs.

I discovered that this belt block holder does a good job of holding all of my different belts. As a woman, I have belts with buckles of various sizes as well as other belts with other types of closures other than buckles. This attractive belt holder accommodates all belt designs and arranges them so that you can see each belt clearly. Some of the issues that a few other reviews have raised were not issues for me: All of my belts easily stay on the holder—they don't fall out. The delivery arrived with everything I needed, and the little assembly was simple. The wood is neatly finished, and none of my belts (thick or thin) will be scratched by the wood inside the holder. One minor drawback of this design is that you do need to balance the weight of the belts on both sides of the hanger to prevent an upward or downward angular tilt. However, even with that, there are no issues with it swinging up or down when a belt is added or removed (unlike the cheaper, plastic belt holders). With this, I can finally access my belts with ease and quickly see what I have, which makes me very happy.

On the back of my closet door, I've had a wooden tie rack for years. Two little brass belt hooks, each large enough for around two belts, were located at either end of the rack. I hung the remaining belts on top of the pegs holding the ties because I own approximately a dozen belts in all. When I tried to close the closet door, the belts on the nearby hook swung outward and prevented the door from closing since they were frequently falling off.The capacity issue is handled by the solid construction of this hanger, which has 11 hooks that can each hold two belts with ease.
