For a tiny flat, I needed a desk that would fit comfortably inside without requiring me to carry a large box or get out tools to assemble it. I was looking at this desk. It is inexpensive and has the potential to serve as a side table when not in use as a desk. It was unpacked tonight after it arrived two days ago. I was a little worried after reading other reviews about damage, but mine turned out to be OK. I recorded the procedure with images because I like to have visual aids while making decisions. This is precisely what I needed. It will be housed in a 1-bedroom apartment. It will serve as a side table for a lamp and fan, and for privacy when necessary, a counter stool from the breakfast bar will be used as a desk chair. It can be installed with no tools at all. It was well packaged, and assembly just took a few minutes. If we didn't want it out, I could put it in a closet with ease. It might serve as a side table in the living room as well. Nothing very special, but it looks good, is practical, strong, and portable. I would buy it once more.

The product is simple to put together, but there are two tips. When putting the cross bar, it helps to have a second person hold it until the screws are set, verify the screws, and measure them. I ordered three of them and they took about 15 minutes apiece. I saw two of them. People were probably breaking the desktop because the screw bags' numbers were incorrect because the two screws were 2 inches long when they should have been 1/4 inch. These screws are made of thin metal that can easily bend if you tighten them without stopping with a wrist twist. I would purchase an additional 10 because they would make wonderful tables. I utilized these for my computer setup.

My PC weighs slightly under 45 pounds, my monitor is 30 pounds, and the remaining items total roughly 10 pounds. That addition my 140 pound weight won't be a problem for this table. Naturally, if that continued for weeks, it would begin to bow in the middle but not break. They can probably safely support 150 lbs distributed equally (just an estimate). The table is simple to assemble and feels quite solid (though you might need 2 people for the larger version). The tables are fairly hefty as well, but not so much that it would be impossible for one person to move them.I purchased two of the shorter Espresso ones as well as two of the Espresso black ones. They appear extremely polished as office desks. The best thing about these is how close to a true espresso color they are while still having a wood grain appearance. Because of this, computer equipment that is primarily black will stand out and have an outdated "all-blackout" appearance. These are ideal for computer equipment that is black in color. Choose a color that best complements your equipment. These tables are made of wood, so if you like, you can drill IKEA accessories into them. They'll keep it. Additionally, they are just tall enough to fit beneath coffee tables and little drawers. I once had two tables in my 12-by-12-foot workspace. I now have more room in the room and more desk space compared to my older tables after removing some unnecessary furnishings.- Even with Prime, the tables won't be delivered in 2 days (at least for the central CA valley). Mine arrived in 5, which was satisfactory.- My table arrived with minor transportation damage (in pics). Since it was so unimportant, I didn't bother going back. Yours may differ.- I am 5' 3" and these tables would be fantastic for my height if I had a better chair.- These tables are sufficiently substantial to prevent wobbling on thin carpet, unlike other more affordable, lighter ones.- The table's top is not completely flat. Not important for writing and drawing. Much less useful than drafting tables.Overall, I'll probably get a second one to store in the garage or in my room. The third short one I received was even forbidden for me to retain, but I was able to find room for it because I loved the construction so much!

This desk is exactly what I was searching for and it's worth every penny. No shelves that get in the way, no frills you won't use, simply a good big surface. It fits my two monitors, was extremely easy to put together, and is quite durable. It does wobble a little if too much weight is put on the front or back, but not to the point where anything moves or it seems like it would topple over. The only negative is not have a place to store your tower unless you put it on the desk itself or have a tower cart, though that isn't a promoted feature and isn't a part in my rating, just more of something to keep in mind when purchasing. (My tower is in the tower cubbie of my old desk that's adjacent to this desk.)Overall, I would strongly suggest this desk. It's basic, looks decent, and offers ample surface space for most uses. It's quick to assemble, easy to travel, and easy to use. There's no keyboard drawer or other unnecessary storage that gets in the way, allowing adequate room under the desk and work space on top.

For my home office, my girlfriend gave me the desk for Christmas along with a new printer, and I couldn't be happier. First of all, the cargo arrived approximately a week earlier than expected (and before Christmas, which was a bonus!). And nothing was broken or damaged when I opened the box and looked inside. Although the packing foam was a little damaged, it was clear that it served its purpose and safeguarded the goods inside. Everything that was required was there and properly labelled.The assembly process took around 20 minutes to complete and the directions were simple to follow. Once I was done, I had a good-sized desk with enough of workspace and room for my legs to spread out. The desk itself is fairly dependable and meets my needs at the moment quite well. In addition, if the necessity ever arises, I can relocate the desk with ease and assemble it just as quickly in its new position.The business from which the desk was purchased recently sent an email to confirm my pleasure and make any necessary repairs. Good enough in my book.In conclusion, the desk was competitively priced, it arrived on time (and before Christmas), and neither it nor any of its components were missing. The desk was acquired from a company that followed up on the transaction and volunteered to handle any issues that might have developed. This desk's prompt arrival, meticulous packaging, lack of component damage, and ease of assembly made me feel pleasantly satisfied. Due to reviews claiming poor wrapping and breakage upon arrival, I was a little hesitant about getting it, however I assume the seller took those reviews carefully because mine arrived in pristine condition. I purchased this desk to replace my old PC workstation since I will soon need to accommodate two PCs (I will be getting the second PC I need this coming week), and I think this desk will easily fit both of them. The keyboard(s) can be kept under the ledge with plenty of room to spare, freeing up the desktop for other tasks. Additionally, this desk takes up less space than the one I replaced, which, despite being bigger than this one, couldn't hold two PCs due to its peculiar trapezoid shape. This ended up being a benefit for my space requirements. The assembly instructions were well written and simple to follow. This desk was really simple and quick to put together thanks to the use of a battery-operated hand drill and screwdriver bit. For added "sturdiness," I put wood glue in the holes where the wooden dowels are supposed to go. The ONLY feature of this desk that I wish it had is locking wheels, but even though I have mobility issues, I was able to lift and move it by myself because of its light weight. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this desk and would highly recommend it.

Overall, we are satisfied with this desk. It is comparable to or somewhat better than IKEA's upper-middle line of particle board with veneer, yet neither of those qualities make it feel or smell cheap or flaky. My husband and I had no trouble building this while I was five months pregnant (no heavy lifting for me, but that didn't have an adverse effect on the building process). The only time we ran into trouble was trying to get the glass door hinges set up correctly so the door would close smoothly. We took the hinge apart before testing it at the default tightest position, which turned out to be the correct setting, so I suppose we overcomplicated that on our own. Additionally, the nails used to fasten the veneered backing feature screw heads. It was very perplexing when we couldn't screw them in, but I believe this is because it provides a more polished appearance. Naturally, the instructions provide for using a hammer, but when you pick up a fastener with a screw head and a little thread, you naturally believe it to be a screw rather than a nail.This set has labels on every single piece. The hardware and fittings were all present, properly numbered, and labeled. If some of the labels end up being visible, they may all be removed with ease. The directions are nicely labeled and very clear. When we were building the drawers and were instructed to not reattach the runners to the drawer mechanism already in the cabinet, it was the only time we encountered difficulties with the instructions (they were supposed to be attached to the drawers and then slid back on). Nothing major! Within two minutes, we recognized our error and fixed it.In comparison, if you've ever built IKEA furniture, this project is a piece of cake. This item should be easy for any reasonable adult or adolescent to assemble, while there are moments when two people are required.Tools required: We used a cordless drill, but a screwdriver would have sufficed. The clutch helped us maintain a slow speed.Optional rubber mallet for nailing in the provided plastic floor coverings in place of a standard claw hammer.optional: securing wooden pegs with wood glueTime spent building: I'm not sure precisely how long it took, but we finished in an afternoon. To prevent the pieces from moving around, little boxes (typically storing the bags of hardware) or pieces of styrofoam are employed. The packaging of this impressed me greatly! However, one of our boxes had been dropped during transportation and was evidently "exploded" when it arrived. Fortunately, nothing was lost or broken, and Amazon is not at fault. However, I believe it is important to note for both the advantages and disadvantages that these boxes may withstand a beating. If you receive a damaged box, make sure to count and inspect your pieces right away for damage.The end result is that my husband has his computer in the corner (he has a LAN computer with a case shaped like a milk crate; it isn't going to fit in any standard CPU cabinet, so we put the surge protector, wireless router, and modem in the cabinet), his two 23" monitors on one arm of the desk, along with his two speakers, keyboard, and mouse, and a printer in line with the drawers on the other arm of the desk. Although it fits less snugly than we had hoped, it is still comfortable, and there is space on the arm that faces the drawer for a laptop to sit, some snacks, or even just some basic elbow room. After using it for a few weeks, we haven't noticed any scratches or other damage. Will update if anything negative occurs.

I built a desk! I was very concerned about the outcome because this is the first time I have ever built anything, but for the price I was astonished at how strong and sturdy it turned out to be. I've knocked on it, leaned on it, and tried to sway it with my leg while I'm using it, but it won't move at all. However, I'm certain that if you tried to move and slide this against the floor, it would yield somewhat, so set it up in the location where you intend to keep it and don't fiddle with it too much. Construction-wise, this was fairly simple to set up; the only challenge came when I needed someone to hold up pieces, but I made the stupid decision to work by myself. I was still able to complete it, although doing so may have tripled my time. The directions were also simple to follow, and in my opinion, they shouldn't be too challenging for anyone. Just carefully read the instructions, and before you begin, use the diagram to determine what each item is. Make sure you read everything carefully because the keyboard panel was the hardest part. I think that helped, but I'm not sure whether you should do it (it isn't in the directions, iirc). I also used a hammer to pound the wooden dowel pieces into each board. I'm 5'8" and there is enough room underneath for me to spread my legs, and I appreciate how the elevated shelf is put up. I placed a drawing pad inside the keyboard drawer and set up my laptop there. I've stored some books and other items in the right-hand storage area and put cords in the bin. My mouse also likes the small area under the shelf! There are currently no rough edges and no wood that appears to have been discolored or chipped. Since I really wanted a desk but didn't have the extra cash to pay $500 for a top-notch one, I've had no problems with it thus far and am delighted with it for the price. Even if it breaks down in six months, it will have been worth the money to me. This is a terrific choice right now.

This table has really pleased me. Although stability was questioned in some reviews I read, it is adequate for my purposes. First of all, I found it simple to put together. The fit was excellent. All of the pre-drilled holes were the proper size and placement. The directions were clear. It took about 25 minutes to put together. The top simply snapped in after everything had been put together and secured with screws. So joyful. It appeared very light yet incredibly solid. It appears good. It is stylish. The area needed was 30 inches wide. Since it doesn't even touch the back wall and I use it as my computer table, the cords trail behind. My laptop and one huge display are there. I can comfortably sit down thanks to the height, and since the opening under the table is clear, I can even squinch in and lean back. An excellent value at $20 for such a useful table. With this buy, I'm quite pleased.

You will be alright if you take your time and follow the instructions. I read the reviews and was worried about some of the comments, but I decided to buy it because the favorable reviews outweighed the negative ones. It's precisely what I anticipated for the price and serves my kid as a computer desk wonderfully. Unfinished furniture is what it is (screw heads are exposed in places but not tabletop). I was aware from reviews that the finish is laminate over particle board, yet it wasn't even slightly scratched. The most important item to check for when constructing it is the screw numbers on the instructions and compare them to the numbers on the screw bag. You will damage the top of the table if you drive the long, black screws through the tabletop. Take your time, examine the locations of the pre-drilled screw holes in the photos, and compare them to the sections you are now working on. My entire collection was labeled with letters, and the screw bag had numbers. Assembling it took around 1 hour. As a computer desk, this is more than acceptable. Of course, you can't sit on it! The tower is placed next to it on the floor because it won't fit on the bottom tier. To allow cables to pass through, I did make a small hole in the rear panel. For the price, I'm satisfied with the desk.
