This effectively fulfills my requirements. My one recommendation is to make the surface on one side as slick as it is on the other, so the patient may stay on it while being pushed into place. It is challenging to keep them on it since it keeps trying to wiggle free. If you had two persons transferring the patient, it wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm a 62-year-old woman who is only 5 feet, 4 inches tall having to move my 6', 200-pound husband. To move him where I need to, I have to jerk it a lot. Very nice handles!

Trying to move a human body with restricted mobility is really challenging. My mother can't scooch back far enough to lie down on the bed while she is sitting at the edge of it. Most of the time, one leg hangs over the side having not made it all the way. I bought two slide sheets, one for behind her back and the other for under her butt when she sleeps down. She could initially scooch back a bit further when I used them, but she eventually slipped forward once more. I placed a towel that had been folded and had a cord in it with a small portion of the cord protruding from either side on top of the (butt) slide sheet. She is pulled onto the bed from behind by the cord's ends. After I get her in the middle, she reclines and I can easily (and by myself) bring her all the way into the bed by moving to the side of the bed where she was facing forward and swinging her legs around (remember, I put a slide sheet under her back and she still has the one under butt). The sheets and towel are easily removed once I gently roll the woman to one side. For her and me, these sheets are a godsend!
