Since she can't get out of the tub by herself, my 86-year-old mother, who lives alone, has been utilizing a shower bench for a number of years. I noticed this and hoped it would allow her to once more enjoy a relaxing bath in the tub. She LOVES it, and now that she has used it twice with assistance, she is using it independently. I was concerned that this wouldn't be solid enough for her because she is extremely unsteady and walks with a walker, but it is great. She has no trouble connecting the plug and using the remote. When she uses it by herself, she feels quite protected and secure. The only issue she had was clinging to the cushion, which I fixed. After that, she complained that it was too hard, so I bought a small bath mat (in the form of a yoga mat) from the dollar store, which she declared to be ideal. It appears to be sturdy and well-made. It has been in use by her for a few weeks and is doing a fantastic job. Giving an old woman mobility and the ability to take a tub bath is absolutely worth the money!

I purchased this a while back but never wrote a review. Even though it was expensive, it was totally worth it. My 80-year-old husband underwent numerous cancer procedures and chemotherapy, which damaged his limbs and legs. He didn't want to take a shower and it was difficult for him to get up and down in our bathtub. Due to concerns with installation, slower drainage, and water pressure, we were unable to consider walk-in tubs as an alternative. For our lower tub, solid seat tub lifts took up too much height. Then we discovered the bath cushion choice and made the risky decision to get it. For us, it was the ideal option. He can enter and exit the seat by himself, the air pressure unit has never failed us, the seat's non-slip material and suction cups always keep it securely in place, and it only adds a small amount of height to the tub when he is bathing. It hangs comfortably on a rack in the closet and is simple to remove from the tub. Before removing it from the tub, I do let it dry a little. We have not encountered any issues with this device in any way. I would strongly advise it to anyone who has trouble getting up from the tub or who is afraid of falling. It is manageable for me to handle when removing it from the tub.

I need a heart-lifting gadget! My spinal stenosis makes it impossible for me to enter and exit a bathtub on my own. I can easily elevate and lower myself into my tiny 4 ft 6 inch tub thanks to this equipment. Although the knees cannot be straightened out, as stated in previous reviews, it does allow me to feel the warmth of a tub soak above my lumbar region, which is where I get pain. The one thing I don't like about it is how easily the padded removable coverings for the seat and back move and slide out of place with the slightest motion. It shouldn't be viewed as a serious problem because the complaint is modest. Once the seat is raised, installing the suction cups is simple. If you don't, putting them on will be quite challenging. My Kohler bathtub's textured tub design didn't cause me any suction issues. The remote control has a lithium battery that can be recharged. comes with an ac adaptor and charges fully in 4 hours when empty. Overall, I think the product is worth the money I spent on it.
