Best AAA Batteries in 2022

Last update: November 13, 2022

Are all AAA batteries the same?

Most AAA batteries are the same in terms of voltage and capacity. However, there are some AAA batteries that are designed for specific devices. For example, there are AAA batteries that are designed for use in digital cameras. These batteries typically have a higher capacity than standard AAA batteries.

Can I use AA instead of AAA?

Yes, you can use an AA instead of an AAA battery in some devices, but it is not recommended. AA batteries are larger and have more capacity than AAA batteries, so they will not last as long in a device that is designed for AAA batteries.

Do batteries expire if not used?

Batteries will self-discharge and expire whether they are used or not. The rate at which they expire depends on the battery chemistry and storage conditions. For example, a lead-acid battery will discharge faster when stored at a higher temperature.

How can you tell if A battery is AAA?

There are a few ways that you can tell if a battery is AAA. One way is by looking at the size of the battery. AAA batteries are typically smaller than AA batteries. Another way is by looking at the voltage of the battery. AAA batteries typically have a lower voltage than AA batteries.

Energizer AAA Batteries (24 Count), Triple A Max Alkaline Battery – Packaging May Vary Review:

Long-lasting batteries are a well-known specialty of the Energizer brand. These batteries provide a two-year lifespan guarantee and claim to be leak-proof. However, you might want to think about this.Benefits include cost savings, potential device protection with "PowerSeal," and a reasonably extended battery life.Cons: Product packaging leaves unclear where to open the package.Summary: Saves money (less than $0.50 USD/battery), has a reasonably long battery life, and advertises having a "POWERSEAL" to stop leaks. There are no instructions on how to open it, so I guess we'll have to wait until after two years of use to find out. Why is this crucial? Out of the 24 batteries in the pack, we usually open and use a few at once. In most cases, the packaging is utilized as a means of battery storage. I had to spend about 10 minutes reading the labeling on the edge of the microscope to figure out how to open it properly (literally, some words on the back label are microscopic; see photos). If you open it incorrectly, it will be more difficult for us to save and open this 24-pack in the future.

Energizer AAA Batteries (48 Count), Triple A Max Alkaline Battery Review:

Between Energizer and Duracell AA batteries, I have no preference. My Trackpad and Apple wireless keyboard each have two batteries that last about 7 weeks and 6 months, respectively. Duracell has always been less expensive, however now I am discovering more Energizer discounts. One of those offers was for this 48-pack. a large number of batteries and packing. Corrugated cardboard is used for the exterior box. Two black paperboard boxes with 24 batteries each are present. Inside the black boxes are small boxes of four batteries that contain the batteries. The batteries I ordered (on March 24, 2018) had a 12-2027 expiration date. Amazon sold and delivered these. Due to the large number of fake and outdated batteries supplied by third-party merchants on Amazon, I NEVER order batteries from them. Verify the information listed under "sold by" and "shipping from" on the product page.

Duracell - CopperTop AAA Alkaline Batteries - long lasting, all-purpose Triple A battery for household and business - 12 Count Review:

The only battery I purchase or use is a Dura Cell! Other brands might be less expensive, but none will endure as long as the copper top!

Duracell - CopperTop AA Alkaline Batteries - long lasting, all-purpose Double A battery for household and business - 20 Count Review:

If kept in flashlights for longer than a year, they will leak. It is advised to swap them out every three to four months. Due to battery leaks, I had to discard numerous pricey, high brightness (1000) flashlights. I'm going to try another set of red and gold-colored Duracell batteries that are said to not leak as frequently. I want my flashlights to turn on when I hit "go," but I can't afford to buy new ones every year. The new batteries are expensive, but I guess they're not as expensive as buying new torches. Use these copper caps in black and gold for devices like my dog's hair clipper that you use frequently enough to replace them every month. If not, I'll move to the more expensive ones. They are Duracells, though, and I particularly appreciate that brand for their robustness.

AmazonBasics AAA 1.5 Volt Performance Alkaline Batteries - Pack of 8 Review:

Because the bulk costs were lower than the little battery packages, I had been purchasing Duracell batteries (AA, AAA, C, and D) from Sam's Wholesale club, but I now buy them from AmazonBasics. The cost is the cause. That naturally raises the issue of performance. What is superior? I have three children and countless technological toys. Around here, batteries need to be changed frequently, and frankly, there are so many electronic toys, controllers, and remote controls that I find it difficult to keep track of the performance of individual batteries. However, after comparing the costs of the 48-pack of AmazonBasics with the 48-pack of Duracell from Sam's, I had a conclusion. The Duracell batteries would have to last 66% longer for the batteries I was purchasing to make up for the price differential. The Duracells I used to use did not last 66% longer than the AmazonBasics, however I can't say for sure which did now. They might have been better, but not much so. I'll continue using AmazonBasics.

Duracell - CopperTop AAA Alkaline Batteries - long lasting, all-purpose Triple A battery for household and business - 20 count Review:

When I was a child, I completed a thorough scientific project on batteries, stress testing brands like Duracell, Energizer, Panasonic, and others (toy cars on ramps, brightness of light over time, etc...) I saw that Panasonic received a 7 out of 10 and Duracell received a 9. (but at half the cost, by the way...)Because the Panasonic batteries were the best value for the money for me at the time, I chose them as a young person without access to money. But as I became older, I valued greater (and longer) performance and was prepared to spend more. I typically gravitate toward Duracell because Energizer seems to be the most expensive. Since then, I've made Duracell my go-to brand, and I've always been impressed with the labels that indicate how long a charge will last. This supply lasts for ten years. No need to be concerned about batteries degrading in your closet before usage. Knowing that I won't have to stop what I'm doing and run to the store before I can use my latest device makes me delighted to purchase them in quantity and simply keep them for a rainy day, for remotes or toys or anything.Recommended.

ACDelco AAA Batteries, Triple A Battery Super Alkaline, High Performance, 48 Count Review:

We run through AA and AAA batteries like crazy in our home. With a dozen remote controls, a further dozen game controllers, various bicycle lights, flashlights, and headlights, along with a ton of battery-operated children's toys. Since the parents are too busy to remember, I guess Grandma is in charge of providing the batteries around here. So, I make an effort to always have a sufficient supply.Returning to the US after living somewhere where brand-name batteries were relatively inexpensive caused some sticker shock (Esp since most products were more expensive in the other country). I had been purchasing from a neighborhood bargain shop, but I was still paying $12 for 16 batteries. I eventually located 48-battery boxes for $21, which is still pricey. I'm not sure why I didn't think to check Amazon first. After that, I began reading evaluations for all brands, paying particular attention to the more in-depth reviews where the leading brands were contrasted. I made the decision to test them based on those reviews.I'm quite happy with it. In all the same devices that I had previously used other brands in, these batteries are lasting at least as long as other top brands. Some people claimed that they don't last as long in game controllers, but in my experience, they last just as long as other brands in controllers put to the same kind of use. Similar rules apply to remote controls, computer mouse, flashlights, and even RC toys. I have no issues and will keep buying ACDelco Super Alkaline batteries moving forward.

Duracell 32-MA92-DH0O Procell Alkaline Battery, AAA (Pack of 24) Review:

These Duracell Procell batteries are the longest-lasting AAA batteries I've tried in my Tivo remotes because I detest changing the batteries in my remotes. The ones I have that use the most battery are those. There are only two of them. With them, all of my other devices have greater battery life. Excellent.I have a couple tiny flashlights that run on AAA batteries in my house and car. Although they are bright and functional, I don't use those nearly frequently enough to know if the Procell batteries also last longer in that setting.Because I like the packaging, which includes groups of 4 cells in their own individual boxes inside the main box, I purchased the 24 pack. In the kitchen drawer where I keep batteries and other items I like to have on hand, they take up very little room.Others have complained about receiving batteries that were mixed with the wrong brand or that were weak or dead. I just received my second package, and I haven't had any of these issues yet. The ones I've observed appear to have been reported primarily a few years ago. Could it have been a previous battery seller? I'm not sure, but thus far I've had luck.I chose these Duracell Procells because I wanted a reliable remote that will last longer between battery changes. Affordable batteries that work well. I'm overjoyed and awarding this 5 stars.
