I would first and foremost strongly advise this to women who, like myself, have incredibly erratic periods. We were honestly shocked when we had our first child, my husband and I. (who is now 11 months old). I've been known to skip my period by two to three months, so instead of merely skipping periods, I would occasionally get a pregnancy test just to be sure. Surprise, surprise, I was expecting my first child (I had zero pregnancy systems and I was apparently already 5-6 weeks along). TL;DR: First Response was followed by a second line in the test results.I purchased this kit for the ovulation tests, and it completely satisfied my requirements and expectations. But because the hCG strips exceeded my expectations, I'll concentrate on those in this review. The morning of 8 DPO, though, I became aware of an incredibly faint second line. I wasn't expecting anything to give me a response faster than a First Response test. First Response test returned null results. I speculated that it might be an evaporation line, but my tests at 6 and 7 DPO never revealed one. It was so faint that I couldn't even tell if it was pink or gray. 9 DPO, I could see the line more clearly and identify it as pink. My spouse can see the line on the Femometer test today (10 DPO), and a First Response test also came up positive.The app's Intelligent Recognition tool still cannot detect the existence of a second line, but it is not important to the review.

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for about 1.5 years and had not used birth control for around 2 years. Since my husband received chemotherapy as a baby and had poor sperm counts as a result, we had been warned long ago that we would encounter problems getting pregnant. However, we continued to try the conventional method each month. For a couple reasons, I had never purchased an ovulation predictor of any kind. I made the mistake of assuming my phone's Ovia app was correct and didn't want to ruin the experience. In addition, I didn't want to spend too much money on those things because they can be pricey. After seeing two fertility doctors and spending hundreds of dollars (mind you), and with the heartbreak getting worse and worse each month when my period came or we received negative pregnancy tests, I finally concluded that they were worth a shot before we tried IVF. I must now add that my husband was also given a drug to assist raise his counts, but we have not yet tested to see if it was successful or not.Anyway, I reasoned that these were decent for the price so it was worth a try and that I should get them to check if my phone's app was reliable. I read reviews from other women who kept small charts with their sticks to record the outcomes. adored it I purchased these bad boys and immediately made my own chart to use, which included the date of the test, a place for the strip, my CD#, and a small column for whether or not we "tried" that day. Who has time for that? The directions on the packaging state to dip the strip in room temperature urine. To collect pee, I used little Dixie cups, which worked great. I would take a sample, let it sit for a few seconds, and then begin dipping. I would wait the three minutes after laying the strip flat on top of the cup. It was difficult to actually understand what I was looking at the first few times. The control line always appeared, but as the second line got darker, it became harder for me to determine whether it was lighter, darker, or the same color as the control line. When the control line and your second line are the same color or your second line is darker, it indicates a positive LH test. You'll know when you ultimately reach that same color line or one that is darker. To be able to track your progress, keeping all of your tests in a chart is a smart idea.SURPRISE! My Ovia app was three full days off. My app indicated that my most fertile days were Friday and Saturday, whereas easy at home strips indicated that I was ovulating on Tuesday/Wednesday.
