Yes, cats can live on wet food only. In fact, many veterinarians recommend that cats eat a diet that is mostly or entirely wet food. Wet food is more similar to the natural diet of cats, which is mostly meat. It is also higher in moisture than dry food, which is important for cats because they do not drink very much water on their own.
Yes, you can put water in dry cat food, and many people do. Some people soak the food in water for a few minutes before feeding it to their cat, while others simply add a bit of water to the bowl of dry food. There is no wrong way to do it, and it is up to you to decide what your cat prefers. Some cats may not like their food to be too wet, while others may not mind.
There's no definitive answer to this question since every cat is different. Some cats may be able to tolerate a mix of dry food brands, while others may not. If you're considering mixing brands of dry food, it's best to talk to your veterinarian first to see if it's a good option for your cat.
There is a lot of debate on whether or not cats need to eat grain free. Some people argue that cats are carnivores and therefore do not need to eat grain. Others argue that cats are actually omnivores and that grain is a necessary part of their diet. There is no right or wrong answer, it really depends on what you believe.

For convenience, I began ordering my cats' food from this site. Since I can't get the brand of dog food she consumes locally, I've been ordering it for about three years. The majority of dog foods give her a lot of gastrointestinal issues. Since it's tough for me to lift the large bags at the grocery store and I didn't like having to buy so many small bags, I chose to just add my cat food to my current order. It is considerably simpler and less expensive to have everything delivered right to my home. To address her digestive problems, I've discovered a fantastic probiotic. In order to supplement her meow mix, we bought Vitapet Probiotic Powder Blend For Dogs and Cats with 5 Billion CFU Per Serving. Since using it, she has not experienced any digestive problems and she likes it. I would suggest this item to others.

But as soon as I changed to this flavor with the tender centers, I could see they were enjoying it a lot. I'll keep purchasing this for them. Many people claim that meow mix is unhealthy and junk food, but I believe it to be much healthier than the food that cats would often forage from garbage cans and other places. Additionally, it's all I can currently afford. It is affordable and does have a good nutritional profile.

My cat has been putting me to the test with food as she has gotten older. Even the smallest bag I could get, she would stop eating in the middle of it. She seemed "weary" of the flavour, but being the fool that I am, I kept switching her out (gradually adjusting to something new). People advised leaving it there in hopes that she would eat it, but she refused! I became concerned after noticing a slight weight loss and took her to the vet, who advised Iams and explained that she was becoming older, less active, and didn't need as much. She finished the bag, so I quickly purchased more of this. I'll stop here.

Just fantastic. My Norwegian Forest cat, who is three years old, adores it. I'm so happy I changed. First of all, he flees when I open the bag of food because it smells so good. The best thing of all is that this cat chow is filling, and his stool is solid and odorless. He consumes less of it since it really is nutrient-rich. Finley was eating so much more of it while I was using Purina, not that I have anything against other brands. Additionally, the purina in his stool gave out a very potent odor. Even now, his coat appears better.

Since one of my cats had a kidney stone, I have been using this cat food. After dealing with that, speaking with the veterinarian, and receiving a pricey brand of food as a recommendation, I did my own research and took matters into my own hands.I had to be frugal because I didn't want to have to feed my three cats two different kinds of food, so I had to choose the best way to take care of the cat with urinary issues. According to some research, the main "different" between regular cat food and urinary tract style is mostly the reduction or elimination of magnesium, aside from other foundation ingredients (chicken, beef, lamb, etc.). Armed with this information, I embarked on a search for an alternative to the Hills Prescription C/D for which my vet was charging me exorbitant prices. The Hills brand food is undoubtedly of a higher overall caliber and is undoubtedly "better," but this Purina recipe is similar enough—especially in terms of magnesium content—that I prefer it for my cats. Given that all three of my cats have been eating this exact food for a number of years and are still in good health, it perfectly balances value and performance. The cat that cost $2,000 that was prone to bladder crystals hasn't done it since and hasn't shown any indications that it will in the future.

My cat's eyes and gums were yellow. Half of her body weight had been lost. She was diagnosed with liver illness after I took her to the veterinarian. It appeared to be a death sentence to the vet. My friend's friend who works as a veterinarian confirmed the same report. However, I later discovered online that cats may survive the condition as long as they consume enough protein. I couldn't force-feed my pets, despite reading several posts where people did so. One post stood out among the rest I read for strongly endorsing this particular brand and flavor. It's entirely natural. In all honesty, I was open to doing anything. When offered them food, her interest would pique. I honestly fed my cat pizza and chicken McNuggets because I thought she was going to die. I was interested in eating anything she would consider. She disliked the wet food I had given her, even the prescription diet emergency food the vet had given me and insisted she would eat even if she had no appetite. Wrong! I couldn't wait to fill her bowl with her food when it finally came. She started devouring it! Four days later, I needed to restock her dish. She has gotten some weight back after two months, and I won't ever purchase her another brand of cat food. She was saved by it. The first photo I have of her is from when I gave her this food for the first time, and the second one is from tonight. Her coat has never looked better. I appreciate you, Blue Buffalo!

This product is a favorite of my two cats, one of which is fussy and has sadly lost a lot of her teeth. They have been eating it much more frequently than their wet meal, and the one with dental concerns can digest it more easily, so she isn't throwing up from eating too much. Because the pellets are so little, their bodies can digest them.

Hill's Science Diet was the kind of pet food we fed our dogs growing up, so when it came time to choose a brand for my fiance and our two cats, it was an easy choice to go with it. Our cats only venture outside when we have the screens open in warm weather; otherwise, they stay entirely home. Given that indoor cats often don't receive the most exercise, this is the ideal indoor cat food because it has fewer calories per cup than some of the other Hill's speciality feeds. Although we make an effort to keep our cats active, and they like racing each other around the house, I'm sure it doesn't compare to the amount of exercise an outdoor cat would receive. The kernels are big and have an unusual form. The kernels come out of the mechanical feeder we have for our single cat quite easily, but occasionally they will get trapped due to their peculiar shape. Since both of our cats have been consuming this for a while, I can't tell you how tasty the food is, but I'm guessing it's rather great! We usually get the larger 15.5 lb. bag because we have two cats, and it lasts us about two months. If that helps, the cats are fed a total of one cup every day, which is roughly how much we consume over the course of two months. We opted for automatic shipment with our most recent Amazon order, which has been excellent! We not only receive a price reduction, but we also don't have to worry about placing an order when we run out! Amazon is still the cheapest location I've found to get this food, even without the free delivery discount. I can buy it for $30–32 when the neighborhood pet stores are having sales.Overall, this is a fantastic cat food that is low in calories, is loved by our cats, and is reasonably priced on Amazon. Anyone wishing to offer their cat (or cats) a high-quality brand should definitely try this cat food, in my opinion.

This dish has been consumed by Magneto and Professor X for the past week, and I adore it (as do they). I fed my cats the same dry food that their foster parents did when I first adopted them. Professor X was consuming Hill's Ideal Balance Kitten ($3.17/lb), whereas Magneto was consuming Hill's Science Diet Kitten Healthy Development ($2.26/lb). Then I attempted to switch Professor X to Magneto's diet, but it was a catastrophic error because he began INCESSANTLY FARTING and the meal smelled like pungent, spoiled eggs. He conveniently never covered the fact that his feces was loose and smelled like rotting dead animals (I forgive him because he's cute). Although he got a negative fecal just before I acquired him, I was worried that he might have worms. I fed him only wet food for a week as suggested by the foster mother, and all of his symptoms vanished. However, the poor kitten was always begging for food during the week that it was fed only wet food. Even though I was feeding him the whole prescribed amount plus anything he could take from Magneto, he never appeared to be satisfied. Never in my life have I seen a cat so concerned with food—he would run to his empty bowl EVERY time I passed by, doubtless hoping against hope that I could fill it. Anyway, after I determined that he was likely experiencing digestive problems due to a food allergy, I started looking for grain-free dry food for the cats. I RESEARCHED VERY HEAVILY. I wanted to offer my cat the highest-quality dry food I could, but because I'm a broke college student with student loans, I couldn't afford to pay $100 a month on cat food, which is what some grain-free brands charge. I was looking for a product with the highest protein content for the lowest price that also has probiotics included to ease Professor X's digestive problems. Cats need wet food everyday to stay hydrated. Dry food doesn't have enough moisture in it to keep them properly hydrated, so they need to eat wet food to get their water intake.
How much dry food should a cat eat a day? This is a difficult question to answer because it depends on the cat's size, age, and activity level. A good rule of thumb, however, is to give your cat 1/2 to 1 cup of dry food per day.
Fancy Feast is a popular brand of cat food, but is it really good for cats? The answer may surprise you. While Fancy Feast does offer some good-quality ingredients, it also contains some fillers and artificial ingredients that may not be the best for your cat's health. In addition, the company has been involved in several recalls over the years. So, while Fancy Feast may not be the worst cat food on the market, there are definitely better options out there for your feline friend.
There are pros and cons to both wet and dry food for cats. Some people believe that wet food is better because it more closely resembles a cat's natural diet. Wet food also has a higher water content, which is important for cats who may not drink enough water on their own. Dry food, on the other hand, is typically less expensive and easier to store. It can also be easier to measure out the proper portion size with dry food. Ultimately, the best food for your cat is the one that they will eat and that keeps them healthy.
Yes, it is perfectly fine to feed cats dry food only. In fact, many veterinarians recommend it because it helps keep their teeth clean and healthy.
Yes, tuna is good for cats. It is a source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for their coat and skin.
