Lawn bags are usually made from a plastic material that can withstand getting wet. However, it is always best to check the manufacturer’s instructions before getting your lawn bag wet. Some lawn bags may start to break down after getting wet and may need to be replaced more often.
Leaf bags can get rained on, but they shouldn't be left out in the rain for too long. If they get too wet, they can start to mildew and rot.
No, you cannot use a lawn mower to bag leaves. Lawn mowers are designed to cut grass, not collect leaves. Leaves can clog up a lawn mower and cause it to break down.
Paper leaf bags decompose, but it takes a long time. The bags are made of cellulose, which is a natural substance that breaks down slowly. The bags will eventually turn into compost, but it could take years.

I don't need them for much yard work because I live in a townhouse (aside from a small garden outside my patio), but I love having larger bags when I am "spring cleaning" and generally removing stuff from different areas. These are not typically something I would remember to pick up when I go to the grocery store, or even always check to see if I am running low before heading to the store, so having a subscribe and save option is wonderful to keep from running out. I can now just arrange it to deliver a fresh batch every six months and receive a built-in reminder to determine whether I need to bump the order up a month or miss a month. They have a strong construction and a drawstring closing, which I find more appealing than ties. I wholeheartedly endorse them.

I required a very sturdy sack to handle the about 4-foot-tall grass and weeds. Due to my inability to care for my yard and a damp spring, growing simply escaped me. I had multiple mounds of grass, weeds, sticks, and filthy roots after 3 days of chopping. Our yard trash must be recycled, but the bags that must be used are paper and do not stay together. Perfect are these Hefty extremely robust bags. They are sturdy, prevent sticks from poking through the plastic, and the knot may be tied such that the tails can be wrapped around the top of the bag to ensure a secure hold that prevents the bag from separating. The fact that this is an extra large box and the price was excellent for a lower income budget is really good. To help keep any leaves or lawn products that need to be removed, I'd advise using this product.

UPDATE: (6-10-19) (6-10-19) Still using these and happy with them.In a nutshell, I truly appreciate these garbage bags and heartily endorse them. I'll ultimately test some of this company's other products. They are cost-effective since they are less expensive than many others, but they are also tough when it comes to being punched through by objects. I primarily purchase them for my kitchen trash bin. I've used some of these for yard garbage, and while a few sharp, small limbs may poke a hole in them, they don't rip apart as a result. My trash cans occasionally overflow, and yes, I have managed to shred them attempting to get them out of a trash can, but that is to be expected given the amount of weight I was carrying.I've read accounts of folks who claim to smell. Sincerely, I haven't seen one, but then again, I haven't poked my nose in one either. If there is, it's not a concern for me, at least not right now. Since they are not on a roll, you must remove each one individually. These garbage bags are good quality and well worth the money, in my opinion and based on my experience; the quality is higher than those I've purchased that cost more.

These bags are made of thick handmade paper and have two walls, making them excellent for yard debris. The bags feel exceptionally sturdy and stable when filled with leaves or grass clippings, and they stand upright due to their rectangular construction, which is really convenient. It is quite simple to use alone without assistance, however getting the first load of yard waste inside can be difficult because of the paper's tendency to flap around. It is very simple to maintain the bag upright and add more waste once it has a basic layer of debris in it. Since I believe it will break, I wouldn't trust it with heavier yard debris like dirt or anything with gravel. Furthermore, because they are made of paper, you must be cautious when putting damp goods inside. These bags aren't as big as I had anticipated they would be, but that's my own fault for not paying attention to the specs! These have a somewhat larger capacity than a typical large black waste bag.Although the top lacks a closure mechanism, it is simple to fold or crumple it down to close if you fill it to the recommended fill line.

Update: Despite the fact that we've been using this for a while, it's still one of my favorite yard tools because of how easy it is to use and how useful it is. Once the leaves are raked into a mound, it just takes a minute or so per bag to stuff them in because it's so simple to use.I used the Bag Butler yesterday and filled 24 bags on my own in just under 90 minutes. took all day the previous year without it.It is quite easy to use. It's a robust rubber item with two folds. The folds are placed such that they fold easily in one direction. When using it, fold the creases in the opposite direction and hold them together with the handles while placing the bag over the bottom of the Bag Butler. When you release the handles, the Bag Butler tries to fold the flaps in the opposite direction, but the bag is now in the way and the handles are holding the sides of the bag open. After positioning the Bag Butler for ten seconds, simply tip it over onto its side, get down on your knees, and put the leaves into the bag. Each bag may be filled in about a minute. Lift the bag butler out of the bag after gently standing the bag and bag butler straight up and down. You're done after you tie it off.I tested both 30 and 39 gallon bags, and while I had no problems using 39 gallon bags, the 30 seemed to work a little bit easier. You should use the bag butler standing up if you use paper bags, which will reduce some of the benefits of simply stuffing the leaves into the bag.A highly useful product that has already saved me a ton of time and will continue to do so for many years.

We currently reside in an area without curbside "green" recycling. It must be transported by us to a recycling facility. Without these bags, it would be impossible for me to transport banana leaves, grass clippings, and other garden waste to the center. I reside in a remote area where there are no retailers that sell these bags. Because of this, a lot of my green waste got dumped in the ordinary trash cans. (I loved using them for fall leaves when I lived there before.) Now that I can purchase them from Amazon, I can fill them and transport them to the recycling facility in the back of my car after filling them. I'd like to thank Amazon for assisting this client in going green! By the way, they are strong, can support a lot, and won't break if left outside in the rain for a few days.

If you're using plastic bags to collect yard waste, there are a few things you can do to keep them from getting too wet and soggy. First, try to collect yard waste on dry days, or at least not during or immediately after a rainstorm. Second, if you have to collect yard waste when it's wet outside, put the bags in a dry, protected place as soon as possible, like a garage or shed. Finally, you can also line your yard waste bags with newspaper or another absorbent material to help keep them dry.
There are a few things you can do to keep your yard waste from smelling. First, make sure you're regularly cleaning up any fallen leaves or debris. This will prevent the build-up of organic matter that can lead to bad smells. Second, consider using a yard waste bin with a lid to contain any smells. Finally, if you have a compost pile, make sure it's turned regularly to aerate the material and prevent any odors.
The best way to bag a large amount of leaves is by using a leaf blower. Leaf blowers are designed to quickly and easily move leaves into a bag. Simply point the leaf blower in the direction of the leaves and they will be blown into the bag.
If you have a lot of leaves to get rid of and don't want to use bags, there are a few options. You can rake the leaves into a pile and then use a garden hose to spray them away. Or, you can use a leaf blower to blow the leaves into a pile and then rake them up. You can also use a mulching mower to chop up the leaves and then rake them into a pile.
Most lawn and leaf bags have a capacity of 30 to 33 gallons.
It's generally best to remove leaves from your lawn as soon as possible. If you let them sit for too long, they can kill the grass beneath them. That said, you can leave a few leaves on your lawn without doing too much damage. Just be sure to rake them up before they start to decompose.
