Basically, the product described is a pack of plastic straws, as you can see from the description. Actually, I received jumbo straws, and I can attest that they are noticeably bigger than standard straws. Because the straws are so simple to clean, I still have 80 of them even though I had 100 of them. The straws can be reused by simply washing them with soap and water or putting them in the dishwasher because the opening is so wide. I urge people to reuse them rather than discarding them after a single use. Please attempt to make a thoughtful decision when purchasing plastic straws if you must.

The straws are AMAZING. I've been frequently warned about the negative impact that my morning habit of drinking a lot of lemon-infused tea can have on my teeth. I initially purchased a stainless steel straw, which isn't really ideal for hot drinks because it heats up rather quickly. I returned and bought these straws, and I really like them. I don't have to worry about my enamel rotting or getting coffee stains when I drink hot beverages, and I can do it without melting my lips off (though the straws don't prevent the odd glances I receive when I sip from a hot cup while using one).A bonus is that I can be that person who drinks red wine via a straw to prevent staining her teeth. Because these straws are broader than typical straws, you can drink a lot more with each sip. They come with a cleaning "wand," and cleaning them is just as simple as using them to drink from. So, quite simple, unless you have a nasty straw drinking habit in which case I would advise eliminating straws (or booze - are you intoxicated?) These items are really long; if you have a tall glass, they are ideal. They have a diameter that is comparable to a pencil.Three things caused me to dock them a star:1. The straw quickly picks up the temperature of the beverage it is inserted in. I haven't tried them in hot liquid yet, but in ice water they quickly turn ice cold, so if you put your lips on them you'll feel it. (Therefore, I advise purchasing the silicon-tipped version.)2. You must drive the cleaning wand into the straw from both ends because it isn't nearly long enough to fit through the entire straw. It remains to be seen whether this may potentially leave germs or viruses in the centre of the straw, but it does appear plausible, but quite improbable (I think using soap and warm water probably obviates the problem.)3. Because they are so long, if you don't pay attention as you put them in your mouth, you could easily hit your teeth on the end. Another justification for using silicon tips is this.

I purchased these straws because I strive very hard to reduce the amount of garbage I produce and am extremely conscious of it. I wouldn't pay for a large pack of plastic straws that I would only use once and then toss away, possibly ending up in the snout of a sea turtle. These are new to me, but I already know I adore them. It's amazing that something that was initially purchased on a whim has now become necessary. I decided I wanted to pay attention once I sat back and considered how many useless plastic straws I use at drive-throughs and at home (for smoothies, etc.). I absolutely adore these straws! They fit my tumbler perfectly. These straws are the ideal height; the majority are too short and simply drop too far. They are also flexible, which I appreciate. I've needed to shake my drink again so many times but have been reluctant to remove the straw for fear of a mess. It's very simple to use these; all you have to do is push it down and shake! No more muddle! One more thing: yeah, they are wide, but I really like that because they are wider, my thick shakes and little pieces of ice don't get trapped in my straws. I wish they were available in more neutral hues like black, gray, and white, but other than that, I have nothing bad to say about them.
