Yes, blueberries are good for dogs. They are a healthy treat that is packed with antioxidants. Blueberries can help boost your dog's immune system and keep their coat healthy and shiny.
Most commercially processed dog foods contain some form of antioxidant. But can dogs have too much of a good thing? While antioxidants are important for overall health, too much can be detrimental. In dogs, excessive intake of antioxidants has been linked to gastrointestinal issues, liver disease, and even cancer. Therefore, it’s important to talk to your veterinarian before giving your dog any supplements containing antioxidants. They can help you determine the proper dosage based on your dog’s individual needs.
There are many different opinions on whether or not antioxidants help dogs. Some people believe that they can help to improve a dog's overall health, while others believe that they are not necessary. However, there is no definitive answer as to whether or not antioxidants help dogs. Some pet owners choose to give their dogs supplements with antioxidants, while others do not. Ultimately, it is up to the pet owner to decide whether or not they want to give their dog antioxidants.
There are a lot of different opinions out there about whether or not dogs really need supplements. Some people believe that supplements can help keep dogs healthy and provide them with the nutrients they need, while others believe that supplements are unnecessary and can even be dangerous. So, what is the truth? There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as every dog is different and has different nutritional needs. However, in general, most experts agree that healthy dogs who are eating a balanced diet do not need supplements. If your dog has a specific health condition or is not

Our 12-year-old dachshund was given a congestive heart failure diagnosis in May and was told he would need to take a prescription similar to a vasodialator for the rest of his life. We were informed that he would probably be lethargic the majority of the time and that things would essentially deteriorate quickly. We were astonished and disappointed to learn it, so we immediately began researching healthier options in the hopes of not only extending our baby's life but also ensuring that the time he had left was of some quality. We reviewed thousands of papers with a variety of suggestions, but the advantages of CoQ10 were what most of them shared. What we didn't know—and would soon learn—is how widely the products' quality differs. Before discovering Zesty Paws CoQ10 Bites, we must have tried ten different products, the most of which were a waste of money. None of the previous things we tried offered any sort of benefit, and our dog would also flee whenever we came anywhere near the jar! We would have to bribe our child with salt-free bologna in order to get him to even consider eating any of the vitamins! Without noticing any benefits, it simply didn't seem worth it to put him through pain or spend the money... until Zesty Paws entered our life! We have so many lovely things to say about this fantastic product. It's inexpensive, our doxie enjoys it and views it as a treat, and most significantly, we genuinely believe it is improving the quality of his life. He went from hiding under chairs and moving slowly from room to room, sitting down halfway, to bouncing around like a puppy once more with newfound energy, a decent appetite, and generally appearing to be experiencing fewer of the heart medication's initial negative effects. Although we are realistic about the prognosis for our little guy, we are overjoyed to have discovered this great medication that has done wonders to enhance his quality of life. In our refrigerator, Bologna is no longer welcome!

This is fantastic stuff. In March in New Orleans, my two border collies blast hair like confetti! I had to sweep up the hair every other day or at least every two days and then vacuum the wood flooring. We've been giving them oil supplements to help with their coats, but we haven't given them anything to help with shedding because I feared it might be harmful to them. Then I got this krill product after hearing about it from someone. Their coats now shine even more, and I just have to "clean up" on the weekends thanks to it! I'm in awe of how easily they accept the plugs and react to the command "It's time for your big reds." Even though they said that if I left a positive review, they would pay for my child's college tuition—a joke given that I don't have any kids—I still heartily suggest this product. If you give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Final revision on 5/24/2017:This will be the last time I update this review because last week we sadly had to put our beloved dog Barney to sleep because the degenerative myleopathy he had been slowly developing had gotten out of control. I can't praise the MaxxiDog firm enough for helping us find ways to make Barney's last year and a half as happy and comfortable as possible. I firmly feel that the MaxxiSAMe product helped Barney and played a significant role in making his final period with us happy because it appeared to significantly lessen his symptoms of canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD). To reflect this, I changed my rating from three to five stars. For the initial review and further updates on how we ultimately used the product, please continue reading below. (Spoiler: Using two little pumps of MaxxiOmega oil to produce a paste, then wrapping the paste in American cheese like an odd little sushi roll, was the most successful method for getting Barney to eat it. He never disregarded this possibility.)Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to MaxxiDog for their superb product and exceptional customer support.——s(Original review:) (Original review:)The canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD; sometimes known as doggy dementia) symptoms that my elderly dog Barney is displaying include nocturnal waking and panting, getting lost or stuck in corners, licking, digging at the floor, and fecal incontinence. I turned on the old computer and started doing some research. It turns out that once they have it, there isn't much you can do to treat it, but there are supplements that can help control some of the symptoms and prevent it from worsening as quickly. Enter choline and SAMe. My searches seemed to turn up these two the most, but I wasn't sure which product to buy. These MaxxiSAMe products conveniently have both! Awesome! Now, a little introduction to Barney Since I've known him, Barney has fluctuated in weight between 77 and 90 pounds. This puppy adores food. He is not a picky eater either; for heaven' sake, he regularly consumes "yard goodies." He once ate a raw zucchini off the ground before throwing it up right away, but that is unimportant. He acts as though we are starving him to death (I promise you, we are not), and he scavenges more now that we have been more careful about his meal proportions. But Barney started a hunger strike as soon as I put this substance on his food. He won't even look at it. It's absurd. Even trying to bury cheese in his bowl in the hopes that he would at least eat his way down to it, NOPE. Lack of interest.I wish this was available as a medication. Since he is taking the largest dosage (1 tsp per dosage, twice a day), and the supplement needs to be inside the cheese for him to consume it, I've resorted to trying to squish the dosage up in cheese and give it to him that way, which is fairly challenging. I've gotten into some messes. Although I now have ideas of Barney chewing into the powder ball in the meat and setting off an explosion, I think my next try might incorporate deli meat since that won't come apart like cheese pieces. He has only been taking his full dosage for a day or two (or roughly speaking, the portion that hasn't broken off and dispersed across the floor). I'll definitely go back and modify my review if something changes or if I think of a better way to administer it. I want to adore this stuff so much. But for now, we'll call it a 3 because Barney gives it a 1 star in taste while I give it 5 stars in theory.——NEWS 4/28/2016:We used several administration techniques and two jars of this substance (since adding it straight to dry food was NOT an option). I'll first discuss the affects it has had on him before discussing how we've been administering it to him.EFFECTS: I decided against purchasing a third jar after feeding him two of them. His CCD symptoms significantly worsened after a few days off the medication, including nighttime panting and whining, getting lost in corners, pooping indoors, etc. It's probable that the timing of his symptoms and discontinuing the MaxxiSAMe were related because he was still performing SOME of those things. I had forgotten, though, how severe his symptoms used to be, particularly the nighttime ones, which caused us all to sleep horribly for a few days. So, in the hopes that it will aid him, I purchased another jar, and I believe it has. The last couple of nights, everyone in the house slept through the night better! Due of this, I have increased my rating to 4 stars (was previously 3).Oh boy, administration It's great that the people at MaxxiSAMe cared enough to respond to my review in both email and comment form (see below) and offer some suggestions for persuading him to take it. What we've tried and what has and hasn't worked are listed below:1. The paste method: To form a thick paste, add a little water. Give the canine a treat. It may have worked for a few weeks, but now whenever I try to feed it to him in this manner, he just turns his nose up at me. Additionally, the MaxxiSAMe team advised combining it with something he enjoys, but I don't believe this would be successful for the reasons I'll explain in a moment.2. Mushy meal technique: Because Barney was on medications that temporarily disturbed his stomach, I had to make his dry kibble food soft and appetizing in order to persuade him to eat. He would gobble up the MaxxiSAMe if I added it right to the soft food. *shrug*3. The paste and cheese method is what we're now using. I produce a thick paste with VERY LITTLE water addition, roll it into a ball with my fingers, and set it aside. Then I smash cheese all around it until the MaxxiSAMe ball is barely visible, if at all. ——

I would have given this five stars, but I need the final issue to go away first.A Lab and a Shepard mix are our two large canines. Allergies are common in laboratories. He was scratching, had hot spots, and had hair all over the place. He has been receiving this for 2.5 months and is already substantially better. His beautiful, velvety coat doesn't need to be scratched because it stays on him.Our mix developed hot areas by her tail, dry-feeling fur, and was constantly scratching her ears. Her coat is silky and lustrous, and she has stopped scratching. Her hot spot is improving but is still healing, therefore the four ratings.I always hope a product will function flawlessly straight away! But to be completely honest, it took two months to notice the incredible change. With two large dogs, we are already on our third container, which lasts one month. I'm going to keep them informed.Initially, it could appear expensive, but consider two veterinary visits! I believe the $25 a month is well worth it, especially considering the harsh chemicals they use to treat them! The dogs also adore them. I would have preferred autoship.

Just to be clear, I am not employed by this business, have never heard of them, and, at this time, if you asked me, I couldn't actually tell you the name of either the product or the manufacturer without first looking at the image. However, this stuff works eerily well. We have a female maltese mix that weighs 7 pounds. She does not have ANY digestive system issues. She actually has a stomach made of cast iron, and she can eat anything without batting an eye and turn it into a perfectly firm, round turd. Her issue is dual, I sum it up as "scratch and stench" (however she is quite picky about the TASTE of what she eats.) She is the most foul-smelling dog I have ever encountered who does not reside in a sewer. As soon as you enter the house, you can smell her. She just has the worst B.O., yet it doesn't make me want to throw up. in the smallest container. She also constantly rubs and scratches her back on surfaces like the underside of cars to "itch her back," as my wife puts it. If we don't watch her when we let her out, she'll come in with a back covered in black grease. To no avail, we have tried a variety of shampoos, medicated washes, anti-fungal treatments, and allergy formulas. We frequently brush her teeth and offer her things like greenies since we suspected that maybe her saliva was stinking up her coat. No luck once more. She was given medication by the veterinarian for when she rubbed herself raw. Even while taking antibiotics, she still smells like a gym sock.I shouted BS and tuned out when I heard a dermatologist promote her line of beauty care products on Sirius XM and claim that probiotics are the magic cure for "beautiful skin, as healthy for you on the outside as it is on the inside." But then I wondered, What if we had fur and the GOOD bacteria needed to outcompete all the BAD bacteria on your pelt? I reasoned, "What the heck?" I simply searched for dog probiotics. Numerous different dog probiotics are already available in powder form, which you may sprinkle on their meals. Not my thing. There were some that you could conceal in a tasty tube of liver or anything along those lines, but dogs are smart; they will eat the outsides and spit out the contents. Another one that was incorporated into beef jerky was one I almost purchased, but I refrained because it was quite pricey and I was concerned I might eat it. This brand then surfaced. It was self-contained and less expensive than brands that often cost $30 to $35 per month (I'm not cheap, just thrifty). The majority of reviews were positive ( ), however 99% of them discussed how it benefited or damaged their dogs' tummies. A few others noted that it was, ironically, green and not meat-colored.So, on Tuesday at work, I got the package. I attempted to give her one when I returned home at 4:00. She disregarded it with contempt. I had to cover it up with some Provolone cheese. She didn't spit out the filling and finished the entire thing. Victory. We left for supper (the wife, not the dog), and we got back around 8:00. WE WALKED INTO THE HOUSE WITHOUT A STENCH, AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I swore I could not smell the tiny girl at all after only 4 short hours! My wife is either nose blind or has always been in denial because she loves the dog so much. However, while we were in bed, even she acknowledged that she had not noticed what she refers to as "simply her smell." She will get this treat today for the third time (dog not wife). The scent issue appears to have been handled thus far. I don't know how or why the smell just vanished with one probiotic chewy; I have no scientific explanation. I'll keep giving her the reward (I say treat because she took it the second and third times without covering it in cheese) to see if it helps with her scratching even if it simply doesn't seem right or credible. However, based solely on the impression she gives out, she seems to scratch less. Like I said, I'm not affiliated with this business, but I believe their doggie dermatology slogan should be "Probiotics, It's Not Just Good "Fur" Turds."

On my 90-pound, 9-year-old retriever, this product has done wonders in a short period of time. My dog was playing and bouncing around one minute, and then she was unable to stand the next. She was able to get up on her front legs, but her rear legs were helpless and unable to bear her weight. In the days that followed, my family and I had to assist her in standing up to go outside. Even such brief walks were difficult for her. Since I had never seen a dog decline as rapidly as she did in just one day, I honestly believed she was towards the end of her days.I thus browsed the internet for information that would be of use to her. I speculated that she might be unable to stand up because of a hip or leg joint problems. I found this product and read almost all of the reviews. Some of them reminded me of my dog. I made the decision to gamble. I'm pleased I did, too. I'm delighted to report that after taking tablets twice a day for around 3 days, my dog is now playing and running like she did years ago. Her joints appear to be in better shape, the eye gunk is gone, and she can get up swiftly on her own.Without seeing it myself, I wouldn't have believed that something like this was possible. But I'm here to tell you that I initially believed my dog would require daily assistance just to perform basic tasks. She is now feeling better than she has in years after taking this twice daily. She has trouble taking her medication, which is the only drawback. However, I don't know many canines who do.Try this if your dog is ill, weak, unable to run or jump, or lacking in any amount of energy. I'm happy I did. Sincerely, I believe that this gave her a new lease of life.

Twice daily chewable thyroid tablets have been given to my dog, however they were just recalled. I've been hiding the regular pills in cream cheese as a substitute. That works great, however it needs to be refrigerated and a) goes bad before I complete the package. After using this medication for a few days, I'd say it is effective. My dog seemed to enjoy it, but she will eat practically anything she views as a treat, including pocket lint, except for nude pills. Pay closer attention to the dimensions than I did; the container is smaller than I'd expected. The tablets for my dog are fortunately extremely tiny, so it should last for a while. The substance is stiffer to scrape out of the bottle and wrap around the pill since it is drier than I had thought, but I'm getting the hang of it. Though time will tell, I'm a little worried that it might eventually dry out. For my dog, I believe the key is to manage to cover the majority of the pill while avoiding making it so large that when she starts to eat it, she discovers the pill. I'll send this with her medications when she is boarded in a few weeks to make life easier for both her and the caregivers.I took away one star for the price, especially considering that more recent reviews suggest that the price was substantially lower in the past. In the event that the price doesn't decrease, I'll keep looking for alternatives and, of course, hope that the chewable tablets return.Just started giving two dogs antibiotics for dental work; they are capsules, not chewable. I am so grateful to have the Pill Masker! Although it takes more of the substance to cover the pill, neither dog hesitates before gobbling the treat. Even if the capsule isn't totally covered, they don't mind. I simply take a tiny wad of the substance, flatten it, and wrap it around the capsule like a tortilla. Regarding sizes, refer to the image. To have on hand in case I run out or unintentionally let it dry out, I recently ordered a second jar. Additionally, the price has decreased slightly, so if I could, I'd give it a 4.5.Edit: My dog finally became weary of it after 3.5 years. She was given a large antibiotic capsule to take three times a day; after taking the wrapped pill for a few days, she eventually completely rejected it. and wouldn't even consume a small portion of the masker on its own. Two months later, she is no longer as enthusiastic about the masker as she once was, but she is still somewhat interested in it as a treat and will occasionally take a very small half pill in it. (Hint: I'm presently giving her smaller thyroid pills in baby food, in case anyone needs it. Small bits in the "crawler" age foods appear to completely conceal small pills of a comparable size.)

Even though it's only been a little under two weeks, the difference was almost immediately noticeable. I'm still waiting for it to stop working because I'm a skeptic, but I'm really hopeful it won't.My baby came to me barely one week after having her surgery when I saved her in October 2016. Stella was leaking (I was not informed of this by the rescue group) and was placed on DES almost immediately. She initially drained once a week, then twice. Eventually the veterinarian introduced Proin, initially 75 mg per day and then 150 mg. She continued to leak, so we performed a urinalysis, an ultrasound, and an x-ray contrast dye test to look for an ectopic ureter. Her traditional veterinarian was unable to identify anatomical causes for the issue, and the Proin wasn't making things better, so I weaned her off of it. I then started to wean her off of the DES as well, but observed that her leaking got worse when I did so, so I put her back on. Her appointment with a holistic veterinarian was set, but in the interim, I found Best Premium Bladder Strength

I have a 17-year-old Persian cat who has been diagnosed with a cardiac murmur, as well as a 10-year-old Toy Poodle who has a coughing attack every morning. After I gave my dog one of these the very following day, she woke up with NO COUGHING FIT, then immediately began bouncing about and playing with my 9-month-old puppy. This was after only ONE dose! My cat has never actually displayed any signs. That something natural and inexpensive could make such a difference makes me so happy. I used to give CoQ10 in the form of a human gel pill and Nattokinase to both my dog and cat, but I've chosen to switch to this. I open their mouth, lubricate the pill with coconut oil, and insert it into their esophagus. It's not a problem because my animals are acclimated to taking medications and supplements, even though my cat does occasionally manage to bite me. My other two Toy Poodles, who both passed away from heart failure, might still be here today if I had known about this. Every cent is well spent.
Probiotic chews are a type of supplement that contain live bacteria and are designed to support gut health. While there is some evidence to suggest that probiotics may be beneficial for dogs, there is currently no scientific evidence to support the use of probiotic chews specifically for dogs. Probiotics are generally considered safe for dogs, but it is always best to speak with your veterinarian before giving your dog any type of supplement.
There are a number of things you can do to help build up your dog's immune system, including: - Feeding them a nutritious, balanced diet - Providing them with regular exercise - Keeping them clean and well-groomed - Taking them to the vet for regular check-ups and vaccinations - Avoiding exposure to potentially harmful environments
There are a few things to look for when trying to determine if your dog has a vitamin deficiency. One is to look at their coat and see if it is dull and dry. Another is to see if they are scratching more than usual. You may also notice that your dog is lethargic and not interested in playing like they used to. If you notice any of these things, it is important to take your dog to the vet to get a blood test to check for vitamin deficiencies.
There isn't a definitive answer to this question since there is limited research on the topic. Some people believe that green tea leaf extract is safe for dogs while others believe that it could be harmful. If you decide to give your dog green tea leaf extract, it is important to closely monitor them for any adverse reactions.
There is a lot of debate on whether or not supplements are necessary when feeding your dog a homemade diet. Some experts say that as long as you are feeding a well-balanced and complete diet, supplements are not needed. Other experts believe that certain supplements are important for overall health, especially if your dog is not getting all the nutrients they need from their food. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide whether or not to add supplements to your dog's diet. If you are unsure, it is best to consult with a veterinarian or animal nutritionist.

Some people believe that it can help improve their dog's coat and joint health, while others think it could cause health problems.
