No, all SD card readers are not the same. Some are faster than others, some are compatible with more types of cards, and some are designed for specific types of devices.
Yes, computers have memory card readers. Memory cards are a type of storage device that is used in many electronic devices, including computers. Memory cards can store a variety of data, including photos, music, and videos.
Most desktop computers do not have SD card slots. However, there are some that do, and the number is increasing as more and more people use SD cards for storage. If you are looking for a desktop computer with an SD card slot, you may want to check out some of the newer models.
Most people don't think about the SD card reader in their computer until it stops working. Then they realize just how important it is. An SD card reader is a device that allows you to read the data on an SD card. This data can be anything from photos to music to videos. Without an SD card reader, you would not be able to access this data. This is why SD card readers are so important. If you have an SD card with data on it, you need an SD card reader to be able to read it.

I just bought a new MacBook Air and was totally confused that it did not have any port for a card reader or thumb drive. Yikes! I was used to my old MacBook Pro and was confounded about how to use my thumb drive back up and view my camera cards. Yeah, I admit it. I am not that savvy about computers, being an old geezer and all. But slowly the light bulb went off and I realized two things: 1. I should have paid more attention to my computer purchase specs and 2. Apple would not have made a computer that did not have a way to use/adapt a card reader or thumb drive. Duh. Anyway, I read up on the usb-c port and started shopping for an adapter. Then I saw this little gadget and just had to have it. It works great! Very happy I found wonderful little all-in-one adapter because with my memory keeping up with a bunch of different attachments is kind of a pain.

I purchased this product so that I could quickly move my music collection from I-Tunes to my Android phone. I am extremely impressed thus far. I connected the SD card reader to my Imac, which has the most recent Yosemite operating system installed. I then inserted a micro SD card reader with a 120GB scan disk card. There was no need for an installation procedure or to look for the card. It was as simple as dragging and dropping files into the unnamed disk that appeared in my finder. On the SD card, I named a folder music and put all of my I tunes songs into it. To copy the files, it should take around an hour and a half ( Roughly 86 gigs worth). I inserted the SD card into my Galaxy S8 once the files had been copied. The SD card and the data on it were easily and quickly recognized by the song. All of my songs were present and available for playback when I opened rocket player, my preferred music player. If you have any knowledge on the compatibility between Android and Mackintosh goods. You are aware that transferring files between systems is a hassle. This has greatly simplified the process.I've transferred files using the SD card reader twice more since copying my music library, and I haven't encountered any issues. I've only ever used the SD card reader a total of three times. I therefore am unable to comment on the device's durability. But as it stands today, I adore it, and I intend to use it extensively.

The latest high-speed memory cards are too much for an at least 17-year-old SanDisk USB card reader. In Windows 10, they are not recognized. With this UGREEN SD card reader and speedier cards, Windows 10 works without a hitch. Using 10 video files totaling 5GB on a Micro SD HC-1 16GB card, I performed a read/write test. The read speed was 92 MBs, and the write speed was 70 MBs. I don't utilize SD cards for data storage; rather, I use them for my camera, phone, and dash cam. The UGREEN SD card reader is a good fit for my requirements.

It did come with both, in box that looks more like the apple company made it. The products itself looks from apple. Quality seems good, sturdy, I just like the feel I don't have to worry of grabbing it too hard and break it.Set up is pretty much straightforward. You download the app (Squre Register-POS), you'll need your Business Account / Personal Account along with routing number. Zip Code, name, address, social security and what not. Pretty much what a bank would ask you. Once your account is linked, it will ask you if you want them to send you their product or if you already got it. I thought the product was going to be sent for free, but it was charging me another $50, so I wanted to cancel and it didn't give me that option. I still have to check with customer service about that. In the meanwhile I just put "charge me later" or something along the lines. To use it, open the app (Abbreviated as "Register" in the apps menu) (Abbreviated as "Register" in the apps menu), You enter the amount and you can have the chip reader or the swipe card thingy be used for the transaction. The app will automatically detect when it happens. Then customer signs on the smartphone. enters email for receipt (or skips) (or skips). And done, in 3 days or less you got your deposit ready for withdrawal. Customers already familiar with it, make transactions faster than cash, and I've notice sales have gone up, despite the 2.75% current charge (as of 11/01/16).Here is the catch though, whatever you enter in the phone, that's what the customer pays at the end of the day. Which means that if you sellsa product for $1.00, the customer pays $1.00 but you will only receive $0.97 cents. So if your profit margin has to be $1.00 then you must sell the product at 1*(100 2.75)/100 = $1.03In general:Sales = Price*(100- r) /100where:sSales = your desired cash revenue.Price = the advertised amount in a cash transactionr = interest rate from Square , currently at 2.75%Generally customers don't mind the extra charge because of the convenience of not wasting time in going to an ATM. And if they use credit card, at least 1% returns to them, so it will be more of 1.75% charge. Pretty small for products under $25.So about this issue you got 3 options:1) have a calculator at hand for every transaction you make, slow down lines, and increase skepticism in customer trust.2) Leave prices as they are, and take the hit for using this product (Recommended by me, some is better than nothing) (Recommended by me, some is better than nothing)3) Raise prices altogether to keep profits marginal ( customer satisfaction goes down, and maybe sales as a consequence) ( customer satisfaction goes down, and maybe sales as a consequence).I think overall this this product is great. Customers like it when they found out we started taking cards.Sales transactions went up by almost 30%.Now most of the income is about 50% from online transactions.Apple Pay/ Android pay is big plus, even though they only constitute 1% of total online transactions.

A tiny device that performs just as promised. I have tried using it with micro SD and SD cards from numerous manufacturers, and this gadget has operated flawlessly with each of them. It works flawlessly and rapidly when copying files to and from the cards. I have not timed or measured the speed of the file transmission, but I have not experienced any latency. This device has a tiny blue light that illuminates when it is powered by the USB and turned on. It's safe to leave this gadget plugged into the USB, unlike other card readers I've tried. Other card readers I've used have stopped working after being plugged into a powered USB port for a long time.

This has helped me gain control over my devices. I use clouds at times and sometimes my devices are offline without cellular data because they don't have cell data and I'm in my car out of a wifi zone or at a park. If I continue to another device, I end up getting some kind of sync issue if I never let the cloud update the old device (by going online) before switching to a device that has cellular data or wifi in range. This usually creates conflicting notes or 2 versions that can be a pain. Sometimes as many as 3-4 copies can be made if I roam between a tablet, laptop, desktop and mini-laptop.This has helped me clear that up. NOW I can manually save on the microSD that is usually supported on many devices that don't even have a USB slot. Then I can take the chip out and continue on my laptop or desktop. I no longer have to worry about sync issues. Everything is exactly where I left off because I have the hardcopy save in hand. It reminds me of carrying around memory cards during the N64 days or early PS1 days. It is GREAT and reliable because you save it when YOU save it.Cloud still helps as a reserve backup though just in case. I can still sync a backup copy as needed.

just got this today and returned another one I bought from here (rocketek) that got WAY too hot after a simple format and file copy of about 1.6gb of data to it. I put in my PNY 32gb microsd card into this thing, copied the image off it, formatted it, then wrote the image back and while it did get a little warm, it was no where near as hot as the other one.while I was writing the image back to the sd card I saw the write speed was up over 90MB/s and thought I should get a screenshot of that. not sure if it is this adapter or the sd card or a combination of both but im very happy with them. by the time I took the screenshot it dropped to 83.4MB/s and when the image write was done after 7 minutes, it finished at around 72MB/sthis is the microsd card I used that I got here on amazon PNY Elite-X 32GB microSDHC Card with Adapter-UHS-I, U3 - up to 90MB/sec (P-SDU32U390EX-GE) (P-SDU32U390EX-GE)

To view the images and videos captured by my trail cameras on my phone while in the woods, I needed an external SD card reader. I had originally ordered another item with a "stick" style but discovered that the thickness of the case I had on my phone prevented me from connecting it to my phone. This met my need for one with a cable connection. looks well-made and works great with my Samsung S10 phone. The unit won't be recognized by Google's file manager, but ZenUI's "File Manager" will. This will recognize and play both "AVI" and "MOV" videos from my two distinct brands of trail cameras. The device will appear on the phone as a third storage area, from which you can choose the folder or files you want to play. A wonderful card from the UNI team, written in very clear English, detailing how they are a small team of young professionals from Shenzhen, China, who are focusing on USB C accessories, was also included in the packing. This attempt to convey their objective amazed me. Although this product costs a little bit more than comparable goods, it is nicely manufactured, has a beautiful solid aluminum casing, and is therefore worth the extra few dollars. I'd think about purchasing other UNI items.

In addition to making the laptop overheat, I grew bored of utilizing a folded blanket or pillow as a tabletop on my lap. The durability of this flexible plastic is unknown, but it works well, is portable, and makes taking notes much simpler than using a pillow. With the handle, it's simple to move around and carry to waiting areas or churches where I can use it while seated in my wheelchair. Good value for the money!

I use a Canon 5ds and shoot in RAW 99% of the time, thus I wanted a way to fast and simply transfer 50 MP Canon CR2(RAW) pictures from my SD card to a device whether out in the field or on site. Now that I have an iPad Pro, I can view them in high definition or demonstrate them to a client. It performs admirably! There are no apps to launch or download. The provided printed instructions are fairly simple. The learning curve is less than five minutes, assuming you already know how to access files on a card and transfer them to your computer. You place the SD card into the SD Card Reader for iPhone/slot iPad's before connecting the iPhone or iPad's Lightning connector. You can choose which files to download (or import all of them) using an interface (much like a gallery) that immediately launches after around 5 seconds. Select whether to import the original RAW files or to instantly convert RAW to JPEG. Select the folder you wish to import the files to from the interface, or create a new folder. The files download to the chosen folder when you click "Import" on the interface. That is all there is to it.As a test, I imported 10 full-size RAW files, totaling roughly 520 megabytes, from the SD card to the designated folder on my iPad in just under a minute. Speed is not a problem. The device should be a big assistance for composing, testing focus, exposure, and other things in the dark while I'm photographing the Milky Way at Glacier Point in Yosemite the next week.
