Due to a dearth of information on how to install this switch on 2003 Chevy/GMC models, I made the decision to write this review. The installation instructions on YouTube are for an older switch. The installation is significantly simplified by the switch's newer age. The steering wheel, the plastic portion under the column, or the metal component beneath it don't need to be taken off to access the wire harness. Why? . since there is no wire harness for this switch. only the tiny cable seen in the image. How to install: (I pulled the airbag fuse even though I left the steering wheel in place. Some models have SIR as the label.1. Remove the console cover made of plastic from above your steering wheel.1. In my 2003 truck, the plastic covering the steering column wasn't fastened with screws. I was able to pry out the upper and lower pieces with a little push (without removing the steering wheel).2. The two screws keeping the switch in place can be seen once the upper and lower sections have been taken off. Take them out. The steering wheel makes it difficult to access one screw. I was able to remove the second screw by matching it to an allen wrench that I had previously used to remove the first screw.3. Unplug every switch connector.4. Disconnect the switchIt's done now.

I'm a lady who can handle things on her own. There were no instructions for replacing the switch, but like countless others, I viewed YouTube videos. I was certain that getting replaced would take more than an hour. I couldn't contain my excitement when it was replaced in less 15 minutes. Start to finish, that's all! includes removing the collar, removing the old switch, changing it, and putting the collar back on. I'm overjoyed that I no longer need to hold my switch down in order to turn. Definitely worth the cost. Much less expensive than a mechanic or a dealership. I heartily endorse this product.

I noticed that the blinker in my son's automobile no longer disengages. While the husband was repairing the blower motor in his truck, I was able to replace it out. It only required removing the battery, four screws, and a few clips. Attempting to accomplish it with the door closed was the hardest part! Although it was cold outside, the interior of the car was still fairly warm. Fortunately, I'm not a huge guy and a Pontiac G6's seats are relatively far back.

I initially thought changing this part would be difficult, but after watching a few instructional videos on YouTube, I decided to give it a go. I bought this part and started working because my left turn signal would only function if you held it in a specific position. to save money, went to the neighborhood parts store to borrow a steering wheel puller. removed the steering wheel, then removed the steering column's mounting bolts from below the dash. To make it simpler to reinstall the new switch after removing the old one, I looped a piece of extra wire around the connector. It worked perfectly. It was inserted without any problems. put the pieces back on after plugging in the harness. Functions like it should. When I switch on the right signal, it confirms with a loud click, but the left does not, even if it still functions. No more holding the left blinker in a specific position while waiting at a stoplight.

Standard Motor TW20T T-Series Multi Function Switch Column Mounted (TW20T)

This is a high-quality replacement that completely matched my 1994 GMC Sierra 1500. Fixed headlight/taillight, cruise control, and turn single malfunctions. It is actually rather simple to install as long as you are familiar with pulling steering wheels and can get beyond the challenge of removing the previous plug from the steering column. Just be careful around the gear selector cable as you fish the old plug out and the new plug into the steering column. The removal of the old plug or the installation of the new one could harm this thin, thread-like cable. Damage to it doesn't cause much pain; but, because it will remain in park, you won't be able to see what gear you are in on your dash. It would be wise to purchase and install the new turnsignal arm at the same time. makes a big difference and is reasonably priced.
