They completed the task for which I had hired them. (But not as hose clamps.) These clamps are used by me to mechanically join angle stock to hollow steel tubes. Since 30 In. Lbs was plenty and I didn't think they could withstand the advertised 60 In. Lbs without suffering some sort of permanent deformation, I torqued them to that amount. I didn't test them to the point of failure because I wanted all of them in the box. They seem to be more than sufficient for use as hose clamps. They are as well-made and finished as any I've seen.

Superior in quality than the thin, inexpensive hose clamps found in the majority of local hardware stores. These clamps hold the screws rather securely; they are not floppy and sloppy like the inexpensive ones. Since I was using these to replace radiator hoses, I had to make absolutely certain that nothing was on there because the inexpensive ones also have a 50/50 chance of stripping away before you get them tight enough.To test their durability, I tightened them using a 3/8 ratchet wrench, and no matter how much pressure I used, they showed no symptoms of pulling out. The screw didn't want to break down; it just wanted to stop turning.These are the greatest clamps I have used in years, therefore I intend to purchase additional boxes from Breeze in various sizes.

I decided to purchase the clamps primarily on price because they were a great deal at twelve (12) 4" clamps for roughly $12. Although the worm mechanism is nicely constructed and the clamps are made of a rather thick stainless steel, other reviewers have pointed out that the bolt screw is physically small and metric, which necessitates a slight rating reduction. I'm using the clamps to attach objects to light poles, some of which weigh more than 15 pounds. I've not yet stripped a band while tightening the clamp with a power drill equipped with a suitable-sized socket, and I'm happy with my purchase overall.

Finally, a hose clamp of excellent, high quality. For my project truck, I purchased four different sizes. Recently, I replaced the hoses and clamps as part of some repair. I purchased clamps from the neighbourhood parts store. When I made them more secure, about one-third of them failed. Either the housing that surrounds the tightening screw broke, or the screw itself stripped the clamp. After being used once, these clamps are as strong as they appear to be. I'm happy I bought these to replace the subpar ones I first tried. If anything happens that is less than expected, I will update the review.
