amazing small device purchased to assist with some woodworking and my Cricut. Although there is a slight learning curve with the kit, it becomes rather simple after some experimentation (try on some other wood before using it on real wood!).Good for beginners and understandable. The tool heats up quite quickly and is practically immediately ready for use. It does include a decent selection of advice, a few patterns, practical guidelines, and a small container to keep everything in. Perfect for crafters or hobbyists.

I bought this tool to start carving leftover craft-related wood. My first wood burning set, and I adore it! Everything I need is here for me to begin etching on wood. Simple enough. I set my stencil on the wood and then I reinstall the iron head to start the etching. It includes an instruction booklet that walks you through the process of starting and replacing the iron heads step by step. 18 colored pencils, a sharpener, an iron, and many iron heads are also included. Very happy with the purchase. An ideal gift for a loved one would be this!

(Stage 1) Wood and Leather Pyrography Pen - Best Woodburning and Leather Crafts Tool Kit - Comes with 21 Different Tips - Dual Power Mode - 30W and 15W, Gourd Review:

I'm really happy with this kit! I'm amazed that it came with so many components—a stencil, for example—for the price I spent. I'll be able to use it to create something truly cool. The tips are simple to switch out, but MAKE SURE to let them cool down a bit first to prevent stripping the threads. If you don't overtighten it, I did find pliers to be really helpful (per advise). There are only a few minor issues, including 1) the tool's appearance of poor construction. There isn't much strain relief on the cord, and it doesn't feel like anything is firmly "grabbing" it inside the gadget. The cord might consequently loosen with time. Additionally, the switch sometimes "bulges" the housing when you flick it, and the plastic housing feels a little flimsy. In regards to the cord, for some reason, there was a small cut in the insulation on mine, and if you looked closely, you could actually see some exposed copper. NONE GOOD! ... But since it was only a small incision, I just wrapped it in electrical tape. Having said that, that didn't seem particularly safe to me and suggested that quality control (and/or the packaging used during manufacturing) wasn't the best. CHECK FOR DAMAGE ON YOUR CORD!You also have to go over some letters repeatedly for them to transfer in a thick, "neat" fashion; there isn't really a tip that works best with the stencil; the best one is the pre-installed "chisel" tip, which, while it works well for some characters, isn't the greatest for letters that are more "curved." Otherwise, they could occasionally look unattractive.Last but not least, I found it pleasant that the set included a stand and a sturdy, reusable case. The nicest part was that it even came with a free offer for a different item, such as carbon paper, more tip sets, or another iron.Despite these drawbacks, I'm happy!

56PCS Wood Burning Kit, Pyrography Pen with Adjustable Temperature for Wood Burning/Carving/Embossing/Soldering+ Soldering Tips + Stencil + Stand + Carrying Case Review:

This is what my wife and I purchased to create a unique rolling pin for our friends' wedding. The lines on a crokinole board I've been making also have this as their foundation. When shopping for a wood burning kit, I wanted something reasonably priced (in the hopes that it would last at least for these two projects), with a range of tips, and with positive ratings. Another good aspect looked to be the temperature control. Positives: It includes everything I was hoping for in a starter kit. - The heat shielding is effective. - It appears to be heating up quickly (although I have nothing to compare it to other than soldering irons, which seem like very similar concepts). - The plastic carrying case is reliable and durable enough. Cons: The temperature control is located in an uncomfortable area, as other reviewers have noted. I've started draping the rope over my shoulder, which mainly keeps the temperature control out of the way. - At high temperatures, some of the tips become a little brittle (not sure if this common). My recommendation is to use caution when tightening or loosening the tips. Another smart move is to let the tool cool before switching out the tips. Hot tips are prone to shatter far more frequently. - Heat is better transferred from clean tips. To remove corrosion, I use very little pressure and fine sandpaper. In conclusion, I believe that this kit has been an excellent introduction to wood burning. I like using it, I completed the jobs I got it for, and I'm sure I'll use it again.

Upgraded Wood Burning Kit, Pyrography Pen with Variable Temperature Control Include Carving/Embossing/Soldering Tips+ Wood Burning Pen + Stencil + Stand + Carrying Case (Green) Review:

I've been buying this Gallery Page A Day Cat calendar for several of my cat buddies as Christmas presents for years. They adore it and eagerly anticipate this yearly gift. These cat lovers will occasionally comment on a particular cat of the day or a gorgeous image of a particular breed throughout the course of the year. Beautiful, bright photographs are presented every day on an easel that is included. Weekends combine one photo for Saturday and Sunday. I can assure you that at the end of every year, Cat People don't even want to throw away the photos. They continue to praise me and retain the complete calendar as a "collector's item," in addition to doing so. This year I have added some young teenagers to my list because they became the new "parents" of two beautiful rescue kitties. It is a GREAT considerate gift or stocking stuffer. With each new day's photo, it will make you grin and make your day pleasant. It fits well at your workstation or on the kitchen counter because to its compact foot print. Enjoy!

Wood Burning Kit Woodburning Tool with Soldering Iron INTLMATE 54 PCS Woodburner Temperature Adjustable with Soldering Iron Set Pyrography Wood Burning Pen,Embossing/Carving/Soldering Tips+16 Stencils Review:

The hot knife that may mark the PCB board is my favourite. I might serve as the common soldering iron. The tips or heads are simple to change. That it can change the temperature is great. The tips and heads' smoothness and quality fall short of what is depicted in the images. But it has no impact on how effectively things work. I must use another heavy stand holder because the current one is too small and light.

Wood Burning Kit, GOCHANGE 39Pcs Pyrography Set with Adjustable Temperature Soldering Woodburning Pen with Power Switch, 20 Wood Burning Tips + 10 Stencil + 2 Pencils+ Stand + 1 Carrying Case Review:

For the money, this wood burning set offers excellent value. It includes the burner, a few stencils, a variety of design tips in a cute small reusable plastic box, a metal plate for cleaning the points, two pencils, and a pencil sharpener. Everything fits neatly into a zipped container, making it simple to store in one place and carry everywhere. The only thing I believe is lacking, but you can get by without it, is a small pair of pliers or something to help you remove the tips. However, because the instructions were not very thorough and I believe that a first-time user would need a little more teaching than what was offered, I would not advise this for a beginner. If you are familiar with the fundamentals of wood burning, you shouldn't experience any difficulties. This burner has a temperature range of 450 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius. It takes only a few minutes to reach temperature and about 10-15 minutes to cool down. The wood burner's power cord is robust, a few feet long, and equipped with an easy-to-use on/off button. It functions nicely and is simple to use. Despite being left-handed, I had no trouble using this instrument.

Walnut Hollow Creative Versa Tool with Versa-Temp Variable Temperature Control & 11 Woodburning Points (Tips) Review:

Great for: - IRONING little pieces of PAPER or FABRIC - WOOD - LEATHER - PLASTICTIPS:Learn this:1) For DIY projects, woodworking, artistic endeavors, crafts, sewing endeavors, and leather work, this tape is your NEW BEST FRIEND.Blue Scotch 2097-48EC 1.88" x 45" Painter's Tape for Exterior Surfaces I just got a new miracle tape (that I discovered by accident when I bought the tape one day at home depot).- It snaps off in a straight line as it tears off. Awesome! No need for scissors. It removes from nearly everything without leaving a sticky behind and adheres to practically everything. No sign of it. It works on a variety of materials, including raw wood, plastic, paper, and even leather (but only on the hidden side). It immediately comes off of almost everything.2) Definitely worth purchasing:28-Piece Wood Burning Pen Tips, SE WP28. You may believe that some of these tips won't be used, and you're probably right. However, since the simple pointed tips do wear out, you may use a dremel to grind them down and create more sharp tips.TIPS FOR USING THE TOOL: 1) To prevent the small foldable base from slipping off the surface you're working on, tape it down with the outdoor painter's tape seen above. It will prevent you from getting burned by securely holding the hot tool in place while it burns, and it will easily peel off once you're finished.2) Secure the tool in the precise heating position you desire by using a little piece of tape. The dial is easily movable, so if you knock it against something, you could accidentally turn the heat up or down. It stays exactly where you want it to just using a small piece of outdoor painter's tape with 1/2 on the tool and 1/2 on the heating wheel or knob. When you're through, it cleanly slips off.

Walnut Hollow Creative Woodburner Introduction Value Pen for Beginners and Intermediate Woodburners Review:

Hi! I thought this useful little tool was very great:) The other reviews are accurate in saying that it can grow warm over time and that the cable can occasionally get in the way, but I found that spreading it out on the table next to the craft solved the cord issue for me. Given that it is a woodBURNing tool, you may anticipate that it will eventually become warm. With the unit I have, I discovered that it happened a few hours into the project but that it seemed to go along with my taking a short break and reviewing the progress of my job, so it didn't hinder me at all. But if you discover that you are really moving forward with the idea at that point, you might want to think about buying one of the rubber cots that are sold for this purpose. The smell should be taken into account as well. Work in a well-ventilated place (maybe using a fan?) or out of the way location as some people may find the scent of burning wood in their homes or rooms to be bothersome (also great for concentrating). To gain a sense for how you use the tool, including its warmth, the various tips, the location of the cord, the impact different pressures apply, and the huge or detailed marks you may create, I would advise a beginner to start with scrap wood, even backyard scrap. This can boost your self-assurance and help you have a better sense of how you approach each project. Then, work a little on the piece's back before beginning a project to acquire a sense of the wood grain there. Different kinds of wood burn in various ways. When you take into account the numerous possibilities, this is a fantastic craft. You don't have to limit yourself to woodburning, which is another factor to take into account. It may sound strange, but I spray the project with several coats of lacquer after adding professional grade colored pencils to give it dimension (i.e., the woodburning adds permanence, color, and a tactile quality while the pencils add vibrancy to specific areas or the entire piece depending on what you want to achieve). Keep in mind that you are giving a piece of wood that would otherwise be plain a completely new purpose by applying YOUR imagination and YOUR distinctive style to it. Try new things and let your creative side take the lead. You can work on storage boxes or furniture you found at a garage sale, add watercolors, or attach various materials, fabrics, or stones to different portions of the project, depending on what takes your fancy. While woodburning is a true art that calls for both commitment and whimsy, unlike other crafts, the items you make last for a very long time.I hope my review was helpful and that it wasn't too wordy.
