This device replaced our large-format printer, the HP DesignJet 70 (DJ70), which wore out after serving for about 15 years and was judged uneconomical to repair.The T-120 is a good device overall, albeit having a chinkier construction than the DJ70 it replaced. Nevertheless, print quality is good, and it's a benefit that the printer can handle both cut-sheet and roll-format paper—we can print architectural D-sized drawings on 24 inch wide roll paper—because print quality is good (Arch-D is achieved by printing in landscape format on 24 inch wide paper). With the DJ70, which was restricted to architectural C-size, such was not possible. The print speed is quite fast, even on big plots.This item is made to be either set on a tabletop or supported by a roll-around stand (an H-P product). If you print a lot of large sheets from roll paper, the stand is a good investment since if the printer is on a table, the output will fall to the ground (note that paper delivered from the cut-sheet feeder does not have this problem). To capture sheets as they are sliced and ejected from the stand, a simple front-mounted basket is provided.On the down side. Operation of the control panel might be challenging, particularly when a print job calls for switching from one kind of paper to another. When instructed to utilize a specific size of paper, the H-P Windows driver frequently refuses to comply. On multiple occasions, the printer has instructed us to load roll paper even though the job being printed is intended to be placed on ANSI-B paper that has been fed into the cut sheet feeder.The absence of an instruction manual when the printer is sent is another drawback. In the end, we had to visit H-website P's to locate one. The manual's heavy reliance on soft, pastel-colored fonts and images will be problematic for anyone who has vision issues.This printer is a little too eager to expose itself to the world at large, which can occasionally lead to a serious security issue. You should prevent automated firmware updates and stay away from the Internet printing functions at all costs. If you must enable remote access to the printer, it is advised that you do so via a server that is configured appropriately and has the ability to authenticate each print job.The ink cartridges are also somewhat on the small side. Except for the stand, I don't really have any problems after using up two rolls of paper. The pages don't always lay flat while using the stand; occasionally, they roll up, causing the one behind it to roll up and creating a mess in the tray. You must remember to print sets backwards. I have a tiny table on which I let the prints slide out flat. Since there doesn't seem to be a setting on the printer, I do this using the Bluebeam interface. I still have the ink that came with the machine from the manufacturer, so the ink usage does not seem to be too high.I would want to point out that, for some reason, if a page in a set runs out of paper, it does not reproduce that page. I haven't looked into it yet, but this might be a setting. The margins were causing a difficulty, so I needed an exact 36" sheet size, which the tech support helped me find. Even with heavily colored logos and grayscale linework, the print quality is excellent. Definitely a more cost-effective alternative for me than a large format plotter.

This replaced an HP Designjet 110 plus roll feed plotter that had been in our office for 12 years and was nearing the end of its useful life. The fact that a paper roll can be loaded from the front, that it has wireless capability for plotting through the internet on a remote computer, that it has an intuitive touchscreen, and that it sits on my 20" wide counter without sticking out the 36" that the 110 did are things I like about it compared to the previous model. My biggest source of annoyance was installing a driver from the useless CD on my PC. It gives no instructions, especially once it directs you to the URL where you may obtain the correct driver. After you download it, it unzips into four files without explaining what to do next. It is not possible to double-click the files; instead, you must manually select the one with the largest file size, save it to your desktop or a flash drive, and then go to the devices

Printer Epson SureColor T5170 36" WirelessA piece of packing foam that is undocumented and very well hidden and can only be accessed once you receive the error is most likely to be the origin of Error 001125, which can occur while you are first setting up the printer (after entering the date, time, etc.). Under the ink carrier, there is a rectangle piece of foam measuring about half an inch square by four inches long (their support folks can instruct you how to get at it and remove it). There is a year of next-day on-site service included with the printer.The box containing this printer is 29" x 23" x 53" and weighs roughly 120 pounds. When you open it, there is a bottom layer with the main printing unit in it and a top layer filled with several bits that have a confusing appearance. The top layer includes all of the stand-building components, a starter set of ink cartridges with a standard capacity, a few tools, and some simple instructions.You must access the internet and get the comprehensive assembly instructions. Everything you need for assembly is included with the printer, and the instructions are excellent and contain images that make all the pieces clearly identifiable. The pieces are neatly labeled as needed (there are several left and right parts). Depending on your skill level and experience, assembly can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. One person can assemble the stand, however two persons are needed for lifting and a third person to direct you while you position the main print unit on the stand. The printer can be mounted to the stand by one person.The entire thing can be simply moved by one person and is on locking casters. The printer requires a conventional power outlet around five feet away, but because it doesn't consume much electricity, a power bar or reasonable extension cord would also work. Although this printer has wireless capabilities, I'd advise connecting it to a nearby real ethernet port instead (because large complex documents can take a LONG time to print over wireless).It can take sheets and auto feed them, but the sheet hopper is quite little, so you'll need to get a roll of 36" wide paper. I'd also suggest getting an extra set of ink cartridges (standard ones if you are a light user, and the larger ones if you do any volume of pointing - they can dry out in the printer if you are not using them). They take the practice of shaking up cartridges before installing them very seriously, and you should shake up any stored cartridges around once a month. Basic and high capacity cartridges are available in two sizes, with a standard pack of 4 costing about $125. The cartridges' product numbers are in the printer manual, but I had trouble finding them anywhere other than Epson.Although it does this on its own and does not require supervision, the printer's initial setup and calibration can take more than a half hour due to its sophistication (running a variant of embedded Linux) (other than loading paper). That first calibration consumes a significant amount of ink, possibly 20% or more of a typical cartridge. The printer will occasionally use a small quantity of ink to keep the print heads free, but this is only done when necessary (e.g. no other printing has been done).The printer's main control panel is a 4" touch screen that can be angled for convenient viewing. It is extremely bright, crisp, and clear. To install and manage a wide range of items on the printer, there is an icon/menu system that is reasonably intuitive and simple to traverse. It takes little time to set up WiFi and Paper.You must visit the Epson support center website and download the necessary drivers and utilities to each computer you intend to use the printer on if you want to make the most of it. Even though the printer was connected to both our wired and wireless internet, I discovered that until I had loaded the drivers and utilities, it was not accessible for connecting to. I was guided through a registration and firmware update process by that first connection.It has been amazing using the printer. It prints fairly intricate 36" by "36" diagrams in a matter of minutes (as long as you are using wired ethernet). I've never used a 36" printer that was faster than that. Wirelessly, even for much smaller diagrams, it takes a LOT longer. Diagrams appear rich and sharp and the ink colors are vibrant. The incisions in the paper are clean and precise. The hopper is quite small, however the sheet feeder is effective for things like later and legal size drawings (maybe 20 sheets or so)The printer has operated without a hitch aside from the initial issue with the error code described above caused by an unauthorized piece of packaging foam. It supports a large range of printing devices, looks fantastic, is easy to use, and is really quick. With respect to similar printers from other well-known companies, its list price is reasonable. Even though I've only had it for a little over a month, it's been great and I'd definitely recommend it. If any issues arise, I'll update this review.

Probably my seventh 13x19 photo printer, the XP-15000. Although I've used a few HPs in the past, Epson has been the brand I've used the most frequently. We needed to do high-quality large-scale printing at home because I work as a freelance artist and graphic designer on a Mac. My wife is also an enthusiast photographer. We've been mostly using Letter sized all-in-ones for home printing because it's now simple to obtain high-quality photographs for a reasonable price from your neighborhood office supply store, eliminating the need for a big format printer at home.The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wireless Color wide-format printer is back. It is at least 30% smaller than any other 13x19 I've had, as promised in the advertisement. My previous HP was a monster that barely fit on my printer stand. If necessary, the XP-15000 may fit on a chair due to its small size. That is definitely a plus. But it requires 6 inks. I'm unsure of how those costs will pan out in the long run.Despite the fact that it takes time, unboxing was rather simple. I spent nearly an hour working intently on getting the printer unpacked and working properly. It takes time to fine-tune everything. It was nicely and securely packaged when it was delivered, but it can be difficult to remove all the tape and cushioning before turning on the power. There are starter inks provided, but I don't know how long they'll last. Installing the cartridges is not too difficult. In addition to utilizing plain white paper, Epson also offers samples of three different types of paper stock, so you should be able to start printing great images straight out of the box. They are 8.5 x 11 sheets, so you'll need to buy some high-quality paper if you want something 13x19.The setup procedure is time-consuming, as was already noted, but if you follow the processes as outlined in the accompanying instructions (in a variety of languages), everything should work out perfectly. When printing to photo paper, be sure to insert the paper *face down* to avoid a smudged, fuzzy mess. It's my fault for not reading the instructions carefully enough. However, when I inserted both photo paper and plain paper into the internal tray, the plain paper adhered to the photo paper, causing me to print two sheets instead of one. Regardless of the primary stock you choose to utilize, leave the paper tray untouched. Nevertheless, the XP-15000 produces excellent full bleed prints on common office plain white paper stock. However, glossy picture paper makes it shine the most. This printer produces high-quality photographs and does an adequate job of presenting basic black-and-white text and other items when printing from the web or a word processing program.I will admit that it took some adjusting and effort to get it running properly when I connected it to my home Wi-Fi network. This printer is only connected to my Wi-Fi network because I am not using it as a connected printer. After everything was synchronized, I had no trouble printing from my HP Envy laptop, my wife's MacBook Air, or my iPhone. Drivers will be installed after you choose the printer from your list of available printers. It should all go smoothly.The Epson XP-15000's manual push-button interface, as opposed to a touch screen, is my main complaint about it. The LED screen is not the most readable due to its modest size. My wireless all-in-one HP printer is substantially less priced, has a bigger touch screen, and has an interface that is very simple to use. The Epson makes simple activities more difficult than they need to be because it relies on directional buttons, which appears somewhat outdated and old-fashioned. Years ago, this antiquated approach was the norm, and while it still functions, it no longer feels natural.Overall, the quality is excellent, and I enjoy using the XP-15000. It is easy to choose and use after everything is set up and the printer is connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Just make sure the paper is loaded properly.~ Kort

really good huge format for the money. I had to print out building drawings on 13x19. No issues, works well. Despite the size of this printer, I appreciate having two printers. Even though the rear feed can only process one page at a time, it is not a deal breaker.It functions great after I added a continuous feed ink well. Installing it so that the tubes wouldn't obstruct the printer's track while the lid was closed was a little challenging. Problem addressed with a few minor changes to the lid. I can't comment on the pricing of the ink cartridges because I don't know.I can't speak to sublimation printing because I don't use them.If you need to print huge PDF files and have a location for a large printer, I would suggest this model. It connects wirelessly to my network in a room other than my workstation and functions well.Overall, I feel that this is a terrific deal that works well for me and hasn't caused any problems.
