Okay, so this is not a match. My water dispenser's water pump failed. I made the decision to go with a less expensive, portable (I can use this in my camper if I wish), and low-tech option.I'm not sure why I've spent so much time considering this little item, but my prior water dispenser drove me absolutely mad.I considered the benefits and drawbacks. What did I acquire for $300 when I could have gotten a dispenser like it for $225?- Add Ice and Cold Water (I can use my filtered water to make ice in my freezer)- Hot Water - While camping, use my microwave (for less than a minute) or my propane burner.- Portability - I won't have it on its stand when traveling (camping or tailgating), but I will place it on the stand when I am on location. - Appearance - My black water dispenser did seem prettier, but I assume I can figure something out longer term. This, in my opinion, is the main perk. I always feel a little uneasy about my water's filtration system. Hell, I probably would have drunk from a pond (just kidding) if this had concerned me 30 years ago.

This was a fantastic improvement over a manual hand pump. I have no prior experience to compare this pump to, but thus far it's been doing a terrific job.We've been using it for a week and the battery charge is still strong. It came pre-charged. To charge it, a micro USB cord is included.It operates a little loudly, but judging by the price, which was really fair, I suppose that is to be expected. Another plus is that the hose extends all the way to the bottom of the bottle, leaving nothing at the top. I've been wanting to have a water dispenser for a while. My full-time RV travels required some assistance in the water sector. I wish it had something to attach it to the wall because even though it is robust, I worry that we will walk by it and it will collapse on us. It took me a little bit to figure it out, but don't judge, I have a 2-year-old who kept trying to climb it.

Rather than using it at home, we purchased this item for camping. It's more sturdy than you'd anticipate for such a small base; even with kids running around and hitting it, it doesn't appear to topple over. Although I believe the dust cover may use a tiny tweak to make it simpler to put back on, the valve is quite practical. (Product improvement in the future: Add a spring-loaded cap on the dust cover like on a tea kettle.)We are sold on this item after using subpar, garbage camping water cans for years. For our regular outings, 5 liters is the ideal volume, and we can always pack extra bottles. Extra bottles cost A LOT less than extra camping water cans, which are frequently priced at least as high as this entire event. Also, 5-gallon water bottles are incredibly resilient (in the past five years, we've broken three 5-gallon water cans). We like that we can refill them at Walmart for around $6 or, if we want to save money, we can fill them up for free from the faucet. We also appreciate the fact that new valves for this unit may be purchased for less money than the entire device itself.One thing to keep in mind is that the valve screws on rather than pushing on, as the illustration might suggest. It has a more durable twist-lock style clamp to secure it to the bottle than I had anticipated. Despite being slightly jostled, it operated incredibly well with no leaks. Honeybees are kept by us, and during this time of year (after harvesting honey), they need to be fed sugar water. Every 3 to 4 days, we must replenish the inverted mason jars that serve as their food on top of each hive. The 5-gallon orange bucket we used to mix the sugar water in is heavy to lift and pour into the jars with the funnels on top. We then had the brilliant idea of utilizing an IGLOO cooler, and it was so much better—apart from the spigot. After a few jars, pressing that button while filling a gallon jar at a time became PAINFUL. Therefore, THIS spigot was a GODSENESS!It is the ideal alternative and is simple to install. It is also very firmly sealed. It is reliable and dependable. We may now combine the sugar and water, position the spigot area above the sink, and set the jar in position. Leave the spigot open by flipping it. Flip it down after it's finished, and it turns off completely. There are no leaks at all! PERFECT! It is now a JOY to combine all of the sugar water.The spigot was put SIDEWAYS. When the spigot is pushed up, it is installed so that there is only 1/8" clearance from the cooler yet enough clearance for the spigot to remain open. We decided to place it sideways so that it would be quick and simple to flip up and down. Something to think about for regular use in sports, etc.I can't speak for how long it would last with 30 or more league kids swinging it up and down because we don't subject it to abuse, but for our purpose, I believe it will last a very long time.This product is a terrific value for the money! This is a good product with a strong seal that prevents leaks and a button that is simple to click to release the liquid. On my 5 gallon water dispenser, I utilize it. The only drawback is that when you release the button, it doesn't immediately turn off, so you have to leave your cup there for a few more seconds for the remaining water to drain. I'm not sure if this is a characteristic of all nozzles. Not a major issue, but something to be aware of.
An airlock is when there is a bubble of air in the water line and it prevents water from flowing. To fix an airlock, turn off the water to the dispenser. Then, disconnect the water line from the back of the dispenser. Next, use a needle or a paperclip to puncture the bubble of air. Once the bubble is punctured, water will flow through and the airlock will be fixed.
You can make a drain plug out of a cooler by drilling a hole in the bottom of the cooler and then attaching a threaded drain plug to the hole.
To replace a water cooler spout, you will need to purchase a replacement spout and gasket from a water cooler parts supplier. Most spouts are universal, but it is best to take the old one with you to be sure. You will also need a Phillips screwdriver. To replace the spout, first unscrew the two screws that hold the spout in place. Next, remove the old spout and gasket. Install the new gasket and spout, and screw the spout in place. Finally, screw the cover back on.
If your water dispenser is not working properly, you may need to reset it. To do this, unplug the dispenser from the power outlet and then plug it back in.
