I made the bold decision to attempt some contact paper DIY projects. I was aware I would require a smoothing tool after doing some investigation, reading, and viewing a lot of YouTube videos (a credit card would be way too small for the areas I would be covering). I do advise using a soft towel while smoothing down your paper; when I used one, the little imperfections—which were like scratches but weren't noticeable or major—seemed to buff out. This is essential in my opinion for removing wallpaper. Dry wall is not damaged when utilized properly. I use a scraper to remove adhesive after spraying a gel glue remover on the wall to remove the wallpaper. This was my purchase from a national home improvement retailer a few years ago.
