Then, soak a sponge in warm water and vinegar and apply it to the glue. Let it sit for a few minutes before scraping it off with a putty knife.

Wagner Spraytech 0282018 1-Gallon Wallpaper Steamer for Wallpaper Removal Review:

Okay, so I got this and a scoring tool from Paper Tiger. I then read several do-it-yourself websites that suggested employing wall paper stripper and said that a "fancy steamer" wasn't necessary or desirable. After spraying enough wallpaper remover on the walls to qualify as an EPA cleanup site, I started scraping. It goes without saying that it didn't translate into tidy, YouTube-friendly comics. Instead, it peeled off in tiny bits, causing me to gouge my walls and remove the paint from the drywall below. I had stripped two walls that were roughly 5 x 10 in size after spending 5 hours doing it (I have high ceilings!). I ended my shift at 1 AM. I turned on the steamer today just for fun to see whether it had improved. The instructions suggest to wait 10 to 12 minutes, however I had to wait for almost 25 minutes before any steam appeared. Suddenly, a good head of steam and boiling hot water started shooting out of the hose. (There were no injuries, but we learnt not to slightly overfill the tank.)I then started to undress. I completed removing the bottom three-quarters of one wall in 1.5 hours and the following wall's bottom half in another. For 30 seconds, I held the steamer over the paper, and it peeled off with hardly any scraping and absolutely no gouging!Because I had already saturated the paper the previous evening, I cannot say that the wallpaper stripper didn't help with this process, but I can say that the steamer made it 20 times simpler!

Rust-Oleum Corporation 02401 Liquid Concentrate Wallpaper Stripper, 1-Gallon Review:

It performs the job, however I discovered that in order to make it work, I had to double the suggested mix ratio. I was removing heavy, extremely ancient wallpaper. Use it in a pressure sprayer while almost completely shutting off the nozzle. For almost two hours, mist it on every 15 minutes. Try catching an edge at a seam or end to test it. Wait if it doesn't come off easily. Always keep the wallpaper damp. When it does fall off, the backing will remain behind. The backing may be taken off much more easily, but you must thoroughly moisten it and wait 15 minutes. After removing the backing, dunk a towel in the DIF solution and thoroughly ring it out. Wipe the wallboard clean of any remaining adhesive. It is best to let everything dry completely for a few days before priming and painting. If you're having difficulties getting it all off, seal the edges with something like Rx-35. My job may have been somewhat more challenging than most, but it can be quite beneficial to anticipate the worst and know what to do in that situation.

Heavy Duty Degreaser Cleaner Refill: Pull It Out Autos & Home Multi Purpose Degreaser, Deodorizer & Stain Remover for Automotive Exteriors, Floor Mats & Upholstery, Kitchen Appliances, Stoves – 1 Gal Review:

I used this solution to clean the severely discoloured concrete garage floor caused by engine oil and power steering fluid. Although the stains were rather old, the product managed to remove them. I liberally sprayed the undiluted stuff on the stains, let it set for 15 minutes, and then used my new 3000psi power washer (also from Amazon) to blast the entire floor, which cleaned up fairly effectively. Be careful, the ground becomes exceedingly slick.

WP Chomp World’s Best Wallpaper Stripper: and Sticky Paste Remover, Citrus Scent 1 Gallon Review:

This is a MIRACLE thing! My room had outdated wallpaper (judging from the rest of the decor, probably at least 15 years old). The brown backing paper remained adhered to the wall while the decorative portion pretty readily peeled off. Only chunks the size of a pencil eraser would really peel off! Purchased WP Chomp, applied it to the walls with a spray bottle, and allowed it to sit for around five minutes before peeling off the backing. Amazingly, some of it came off in whole or nearly complete sheets. With a scraper, the remaining material was simply lifted and pulled off. One bottle painted a roughly 10 x 10 square room with one large window and one closet. I still had approximately half a cup. I'll be ordering more of this fantastic stuff to finish the other three rooms I need to.

WP Chomp World’s Best Wallpaper Stripper: and Sticky Paste Remover, Citrus Scent 22oz Super Concentrate Review:

My border was thick and unsightly, and it seemed impossible to get rid of it. preferably without damaging the walls. I figured why not give it a shot for $10, and wow am I glad I did. I put about a quart of the mixture into a spray bottle and got to work. I took off the top paper layer, which was made of thick, cushioned paper. A small strip of glue paper was left behind when it was taken out. I sprayed the last of the paper, covering the entire strip, and waited for approximately ten seconds before beginning to peel it off the wall. Without the use of any tools or scrapers, it came off easily (by hand).

WP Chomp World’s Best Wallpaper Stripper: and Sticky Paste Remover, Citrus Scent 32oz.trigger Review:

Timely and accurate delivery of this item. I wanted the pink wallpaper in one of the bathrooms that was there when I bought my house to be taken down. I tried all the standard methods to remove the paper—brand-name wall paper remover, steam, scoring it, even fabric softener—but it would not come off at all. Nothing worked, I was informed, and the paper was directly applied to the sheetrock without being primed? Anyway, I stumbled about Chomp Wallpaper Stripper in my neighborhood Home Depot and decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, this did work, albeit I still had to put in a little extra work on the assignment due of the circumstances I was in. After using the first bottle, I returned to the store but they were out so I ordered it online along with the scoring tool of the same brand, and damned if it didn't work even better! There is no more pink wallpaper in my bathroom!

Rust-Oleum Clear 69384 1-Quart SureGrip 122 Heavy Duty Strippable Wallpaper Adhesive, 1 Pack Review:

A decent product.NOT ENOUGH EXPERIENCEI don't have a lot of wallpapering experience, so I can't really compare it to any prior usage or experience.SURFACE WRAPPINGThe upper section is covered by a plastic wrapping. Most likely to prevent the lid from rupturing and spilling everywhere. There is no extra dividing layer of any type once the plastic wrap is removed and the lid is raised. When I opened it, I kind of expected to see a foam separator or something, but the paste is right there.TOOLSOrder a brush or other implement of some sort to apply this to your paper. I applied paintbrush.APPLICATIONI thought it was fine, as far as I can tell. was fluid or drippy and neither too thick nor too thin to maneuver. As soon as I finished smoothing the wallpaper over the wall, I put it on. Although it was stuck, I could pick up individual pieces and modify as necessary. This was the aspect of the product that I liked the most.I purchased this item at full price.

Rust-Oleum 2422 DIF Wallpaper Stripper Concentrate, 22-Ounce Review:

I had to remove several layers of wallpaper that was at least 100 years old. I tried lemon essential oils, vinegar and water, and just water. Everything failed. This DIF worked as intended. Of course, it was still work, but it was worthwhile labour. I applied it with a sponge after scoring the paper according to the directions. It fell down after I re-wetted the walls around fifteen minutes later. If necessary, I would use this again, but I'll be avoiding wallpaper in the future!

Zinsser 2468 2468 Wallpaper-Adhesive-removers, 32-Ounce, Translucent Blue Review:

Excellent product. We did not need to score it because we were able to remove the top layer of wallpaper. We carefully removed the backing paper with a spatula after completely wetting it with DIF and waiting for 10 to 15 minutes. Nearly all remnants of the wallpaper were removed. Our wallboard was not harmed because it was painted with a builder's finish. I'm not sure how wallboard that hasn't been treated would fare. You really do need to put some effort into getting rid of the leftover paste. Prior to painting, we thoroughly washed and sealed all the walls. Wallpaper removal is a filthy task! We had previously used DIF, but our neighborhood stores had absolutely no stock, so we ordered from Amazon. One bottle of the product should be used for every one and a half to two strips of wallpaper in order to complete the task. One warning: AVOID ordering when it is extremely cold. Ours arrived with all of the bottles cracked and frozen, with the exception of one or two. Fortunately, there was no mess because each bottle was well wrapped in a plastic bag.
