We adore the globe. The biggest laminated map we could locate had lovely colors and easily readable country labels. The laminate's thinness is its lone drawback. As we were hanging the sheetrock on the wall, we inserted a thumbtack into one corner of the material. The map tore right through where the thumbtack was to the edge of the map as we were adjusting and leveling it due to the slight amount of strain. We are looking for a different way to attach it to the wall because my kids will be touching it and potentially applying some pressure to it. We don't want it to unintentionally tear off the wall. That gooey clay material used to hang posters? That is something we want to look for and try. Just make the laminate thicker, please.

I erred by failing to read the descriptions before buying this map. I assumed that the various pricing represented various sizes. I came here to write a comment on the $8 map I received since I was displeased that it was folded when I got it; I had expected it to be rolled. The $8 map is folded, the $13 map is sent rolled, and the $17 map is laminated and shipped in a roll. I corrected my obvious error by using the folded map. I've learned my lesson. I gave it four stars since the color is beginning to fade on the folds even after only twice opening and shutting the map. Otherwise, it did what it needed to do.

I am writing this review to clarify that the colors are brilliant and the typography is sharp and clear because I couldn't tell much from the small photo. Moreover, the map is NOT laminated, just to be clear. The map side has a small shine, but it is not "laminated" in the sense that dry erase markers cannot be used to write on it. This worked better for us because the paper was thin enough to hang on the wall without curling. Overall, the graphics are of good quality, the size is appropriate, and our map arrived undamaged because it was coiled in a plastic tube and then placed in a box.

I'm really happy with this scratch-off map. There were numerous maps to select from when I was browsing for this item. This one caught my attention since its hues stood out among the others. I'm very happy I chose this map.The map's quality really pleased me. The fact that this is a real world map, one with decent detail and a lot of information compared to other ones I looked at, was a major thing for me. The map has many cities as well as outlines of each US state on its top and bottom layers. The added details, including hill shading, give the map a mature appearance. It is a true centerpiece and beautiful to look at.The colors behind the scratch substance, which are pretty subdued yet sufficiently vivid, worked really well in my opinion. Before purchasing this, I did my research and saw that several of these maps experienced issues when trying to scratch off locations. A guitar pick that I used did a great job. My suggestion for scratching is to begin on the outer edges and work your way in. Take care when removing the map from the tube because the top scratch substance is rather easy to scratch off. Being harsh with it risks accidentally scratching off locations you haven't yet visited.It is simple to scratch out even the smallest nations in the world due to the astounding size of the map. It is substantial in comparison to similar items, and affordable frames are simple to locate.
