Yes, you can use a regular landline phone for VoIP, but you will need to have a VoIP adapter connected to your phone. The VoIP adapter will convert the analog signal from your phone into a digital signal that can be transmitted over the internet.
Yes, in theory you can use any handset for VoIP. However, in practice, VoIP often requires a specific type of handset in order to work optimally. This is because VoIP uses digital signals instead of analog signals, and most standard handsets are not designed to work with digital signals. In addition, VoIP often requires a high-speed internet connection, which most standard handsets are not able to provide.

When I plugged it in, nothing happened. The driver was not moved, according to Device Manager, which I checked. I believed a new USB driver was necessary. The instructions fell out of the box as soon as I lifted it up. RTFM!It is effective. This was purchased for the new IP phone system at my firm. hoping it worksThis item is tiny! It is approximately 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It appears that the cord is about 5 feet long.

After about 8 hours of use five days a week, I needed a good mono headset that was pleasant and didn't leave my ears feeling bruised. Since my line of work is technical support, I also wanted a headset that was monophonic, rather than immersive and stereo, which would have covered both of my ears. This makes it such that other people's negative attitudes don't effect me or my work. The call button turns green while on a call with specific software, in my testing Microsoft Teams which is somewhat similar to Skype, and the mute button does glow red if muted (regardless of the situation). The sound is quite clean and natural, and the microphone quality is excellent. On a QuickTime test clip, I could hear my dog barking from two rooms away through two closed doorways, raising doubts about the noise cancellation. I suppose you'd be okay if the software you're using also permitted or had a codec that performed software noise suppression, but at my job, we aren't allowed to have dogs, kids, or really anything else that isn't supposed to be heard in a real "office" setting. As far as "on ear" headphones go, the headset is unlike anything I've ever encountered and the earpiece is incredibly soft. It's quite cozy. The majority of "on ear" headphones are made of the poor quality leather that finally causes your ear lobes to become fatigued and damaged after 8 hours. These not. Pun meant, super hip material that is also incredibly soft and flexible for your ears (left or right).Sennheiser, you made a great point here. Anything more would definitely harm the stunning quality of the microphone on this headset, so forget it. However, if the microphone could be made a little bit more noise-canceling, that would be fantastic.Absolutely worth $35, and reviews claiming that the cable survived a year under regular daily use still seem quite reasonable given the price. I'll buy another headset if I use this one for at least a year. Fantastic.

I'll admit it: I'm a Sennheiser Apostle. I adore their merchandise. I play music live and have long since abandoned Shure mics. For drums, I use a few Audix microphones. I'd much rather use a Sennheiser 835 ($100) for vocals than a Shure Beta 58 ($160).I bought a headset so I could take and make calls from my laptop when I required one for work. I was ecstatic to learn that Sennheiser produced a solution for this. The microphone does a fantastic job, and the sound is crystal clear. Avoid the off-brands and get this product instead!Does it actually hold up well? I suppose it wouldn't take much abuse, but I keep mine right in my laptop bag and haven't run into any problems.

wonderful headset As a remote worker with neighbors who had a dog that barked nonstop, I bought this. By eliminating the surrounding noise, I can take part in conference calls without sounding like I'm in a kennel. My neighbor's dog is adorable, but damn. If you need to drown out background noise for the listener, this is highly advised. The noise on my end doesn't bother me all that much; I just don't want the other end of the line to hear it. I also get praises on how clearly I talk.

This is the computer soft phone model. The base station attaches into your computer's USB port, which powers it and establishes a hardware connection with your PC.My old Plantronics Plt battery was only lasting a few hours, and since I frequently do conference calls from my home office throughout the day, I made the decision to get this. I use it with the free version of Skype, to which I have a phone number, a call plan, etc. Thus, the factors that matter most while purchasing this are:1. The DECT technology's outstanding range allows me to take calls while making coffee, answering the door, etc. The fact that the headset has a mute button is an added bonus because I frequently had to run upstairs to turn off mute while making tea with my old PLT. It has now been resolved.2. The battery might get weaker over time, but based on my early usage, it should last an entire workday. After several hours using the phone, I have only depleted 3 of the base station's 4 battery status bars. It quickly recharges when you put it back on the base station. Last but not least, I was anxious that the battery might run out when I turned off my computer at night or on the weekend, cutting off power to the base station. That doesn't seem to be the case, and I believe the headset is aware of this because I see four bars when my PC starts up on a Monday morning.3. The sound quality is acceptable, neither better nor worse than my old PLT, in my opinion.4. Comfort: Although it comes with a headband, the sales literature suggests using it with a loop around the ear if you don't want to use the headband. This is a little deceptive, which is why I took a star off. You need to buy a $15 "super loop" accessory, which is only offered on headsetsdotcom and not at the moment on Amazon, if you wish to use the device without a headband. Having said that, I have become accustomed to and even prefer the headband; it is just less organized on my desk than the PLT.The seller is the last subject. Fantastic company Headsetsdotcom places a strong emphasis on customer service. When I brought up the subject of not having to wear the headband with them directly through their website's chat feature, the woman understood precisely what I was talking about and we were able to come to an amicable resolution over the super loop.Still a huge admirer of Plantronics, I recently purchased some Bluetooth exercise earbuds, but these Sennheiser models were a bit more affordable and offer a marginally superior configuration, functions, etc. They have been a terrific investment thus far.

Because the one without the USB dongle does not include the charging base, I purchased the MB Pro 1 UC even though I would just be linking it with my iPhone. I just started using the headset today, and I already adore it! I particularly enjoy the following features:- I simply take the headset out of the base when I get an incoming call, and it answers the phone for me. Since it's magnetic, it's very simple to attach to and remove from the base.– Excellent sound quality from the microphone! Even though the Boom O is a wired device, people on the other end remarked the MB Pro 1 is clearer when I was using it before this model.- Noise cancellation works incredibly well. When I'm on the phone, I occasionally hear the barking of a couple of my tiny dogs in the room next to me. People claimed they couldn't hear them when using the MB Pro 1.- The headset's volume is loud enough for me and is actually louder than my old headset.- Extremely cozy to wear. When I asked five different persons I spoke with today how I came across, they all claimed I sounded absolutely clear. As time passes, I'll update the review if any problems arise. As of now, I wholeheartedly endorse it!

Although I don't often write reviews, these headphones are unquestionably among my favorite purchases. These headsets are ideal if you work from home like I do. My huge head fits the headset pleasantly and precisely. My desktop and Bluetooth were quickly and easily linked. The audio is quite good. The quality is unimaginably high considering the cost. Definitely a recommendation.
Yes, VoIP phones can use WiFi to connect to the internet and make calls. WiFi is a popular option for VoIP phone users because it is typically more reliable than a cellular connection and can offer better call quality.
No, you do not need a special handset for VoIP. A regular phone will work just fine.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a type of phone service that uses an internet connection instead of a traditional phone line. VoIP can be used with or without WiFi. However, a strong and stable WiFi connection is recommended for optimal call quality.
Cordless VoIP phones are an excellent way to make calls without having to worry about a landline or being tied down to a specific location. These phones work by using an internet connection to place and receive calls. This means that as long as you have an internet connection, you can use your cordless VoIP phone from anywhere in the world.
To connect an analog phone to VoIP, you will need an ATA (analog telephone adapter), which will connect your phone to your internet router. You will also need a VoIP service, which will provide you with a VoIP number and allow you to make and receive calls.
