So my wife requested a new shoe shelf or rack. I purchased all the supplies at the neighborhood home improvement store. I constructed a 7.5 foot shoe rack from scratch. The front of the shoe rack needed a great finished look, and that was the only thing I was lacking. I discovered this edge banding on Amazon. It's a terrific product, and I'm glad I bought it. Since the edge banding is a correct 3/4 of an inch, it fits any piece of pine that is 1 by 4 perfectly. My shelves were made entirely of 1/4-pine and were painted white. And this edge banding gave the front of my shelves the ideal finished appearance. The actual banding was quite simple to apply. Simply use scissors to cut the required length, and then use an iron to secure it to the piece of wood. That's how simple it is to put this stuff on! For a very great finished look, I would most definitely purchase this again.

I felt like a veteran using this for my very first veneer project. On your iron, the low-medium setting works great for ironing it on. Despite the fact that my trimmer wasn't the best, it trimmed rather easily and smoothly. I therefore had to make a few passes. It took stains quite well. I stained using natural dye. After four coats of polyurethane, it sanded nicely and, in my opinion, looks fantastic. These images should be helpful. Again, I'd buy this.

Update: We have now utilized five rolls (and need another). The quality is excellent, and the glue hasn't pulled or moved at all. We apply it on plywood grade A/B. We have had to'slow down' and 'take our time' with the adhesive on cheap plywood (Home Depot 30$ a sheet kind), but it always sticks. (i.e., make it really hot and use the edge of a piece of wood to drive the glue into the wood pores). Some "short splices" in the 3 foot range have been observed. Both of those objects are really finicky; I've seen edge banding that costs $200 each roll that doesn't perform as well as this. We are delighted with this purchase. And I hope it last for a very long time.We have already utilized one roll and have another one ordered. The veneer is of high caliber. We hardly ever saw any joints or pitting in it. It takes stains well and paints beautifully. Typically, we have been applying it straight off the roll without any straightening. When applied, it has a propensity to wander a bit more than other edge bands we have used, but it is readily heated and put into position so really this is not an issue. (You can use the edge of a table to take the bent out of veneer like this.) Edge trimming functions as you may anticipate. I can't speak to the quality or adherence over the long term because we haven't had the cabinets created using this product in use very long. There aren't any indications that it's pulling or moving, though. Overall, a great product at a great price.

had a hollow oak door with a hole drilled in it. In contrast to my usual practice, I decided to attempt something new this time.The door was wider than 2 feet, so I ordered 2 rolls of this veneer.Finished patching. glued Titebond 3 over the door. Put the veneer on with caution. The second roll was rolled tightly after snugly fitting over the preceding one. covered the work with plywood that was weighted, etc. Removed the plywood coverings the following morning, many areas of the veneer had bubbled up. Darn. I carefully ironed them down using a steam iron. Beautiful. edges were sanded. then painted the door with a stain or poly. Looks lovely!A box knife slices through the veneer with ease. Before adding veneer to the door, make sure your patch is completely dried. Contact cement might perform more effectively than glue in some cases. Simply put, I don't like the way contact cement smells.It's possible that this method of fixing a door won't be less expensive because an oak slab door costs me about $60. However, it's a calmer approach to problem-solving that doesn't require a router, drill, planer, etc.

My kitchen counter tops, which are a strange dark gray tone, were covered with them. Before applying them, I took care to wipe the countertops and give them time to dry. Applying was simple, and if I made a mistake, taking it off and reapplying was also simple. I'm not certain if it would work if you've worn them for a while already. I did this for the first time, and it went pretty well. It's not that simple to tell if you have them slightly overlap. My kitchen now has a completely fresh, cheerful appearance. I used this to create an edge to the wood and cover the plywood layers when I constructed some shelves out of plywood. The only reason I rated it four instead of five stars was because the 50 foot roll was not a continuous strip of wood. Otherwise, it was simple to attach. Instead, some of the pieces measured more than 20 feet in length, while others were only 6-7 feet long. Overall, it performed admirably, took stains well, and allowed me to use the smaller pieces on the ends of the shelves to reduce waste.
