No, seeds do not expire. They will, however, lose their viability over time. The length of time a seed remains viable depends on the type of seed, storage conditions, and other factors.
No, you do not have to soak seeds before planting. There are a few benefits to soaking seeds, but it is not necessary. Soaking seeds can help them germinate faster and make them easier to plant.
The number of seeds you should plant per vegetable depends on the type of vegetable, the size of your garden, and your personal preferences. For example, if you are growing tomatoes, you may want to plant 2-3 seeds per plant in order to get a good yield. If you are growing cucumbers, you may only need to plant 1 seed per plant. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide how many seeds you want to plant per vegetable.
If you are looking to add new plants to your garden, you may be wondering if it is cheaper to buy seeds or plants. The answer to this question depends on a few factors, including the type of plant you are looking for and the time of year. In general, buying seeds is going to be the cheaper option. You can find packets of seeds for just a few dollars, whereas plants can cost ten times as much. However, it is important to keep in mind that not all plants can be started from seed. Some, like trees and shrubs, can only be

This product sounded like a wonderful alternative because I wanted to save some money on seeds this year. I will only use three or four of the thirty seed packets offered, so this is an excellent deal. Some folks claim they didn't receive all 30 pouches, but based on my count, I did. Therefore, even if I were to purchase 20 of these at a cost of $2 a packet, I would still be saving a lot of money.I don't care if I received 11,000 or 9,000 seeds; what matters is that this kit has all the seeds you could possibly need to start your garden. This is a terrific option because I get a wider range of produce than I would if I purchased each seed packet separately since we rent a little patch in the community garden. This is a fantastic amount in each flavor because you don't always need to utilize the entire packet. The first couple of months are always the most thrilling to watch things grow, so I'm looking forward to starting my garden again this year. Thanks to this kit, I'll also be trying some new vegetables. For instance, I'll attempt growing okra since I've never done so before. There are also a few corn seeds, which are ideal for my tiny garden because I don't need as many due to the limited space. The kit is physically quite small, but this is something that has been mentioned previously, so I wasn't too startled. Although the individual packages within are zip-lock varieties, which is nice, the main holding container does not reseal. I just placed it in a zip lock to prevent getting any moisture or dust on it before I use it, but I do want to save it because it has the list of seeds on it. (Or better yet, stop it from strewn around my drawer where I keep it.)I therefore suggest this kit to any amateur gardener. Although it is said to produce that is highly pollinated and yields a lot, I don't see how it would help someone with a sizable garden. There don't seem to be enough seeds for any significant sowing. There are certainly a lot of lettuce and radish seeds, but there are only a few corn, sunflower, or pumpkin seeds. So make smart plans, and good luck!

This was a little bit of a risk for me. My family doesn't consume a lot of salads or lettuce, but I've been attempting to encourage everyone to adopt healthier diets, so why not include a variety of lettuces in our menu? The lettuce not only grew in less than three weeks, but the flavor was out of this world! My family typically buys tasteless, flavorless lettuce at supermarkets. Everyone I know who has tasted the lettuce produced from these seeds raves about how flavorful it is and how they want more and more of it. I have enough food not only for my parents, myself, and my always-hungry brother, but also for our neighbors, close friends, and a few sizable gatherings. When I run out of the materials I already have stored, I'll purchase some more of these seeds.

based on the amount of sulfurophane... This is a complicated topic that involves conversion enzymes, absorption through the digestive tract, the narrow focus of medical investigations, etc. But the most potent cancer cure and preventative agent ever discovered may be broccoli sprouts. What is the drawback? It is non-toxic and costs pennies. Maybe illusory expectations, like in "Drink your Coke and enjoy some sprouts."For those who want to prevent cancer or even treat it, it's a winner in terms of simplicity to prepare. You have "the right to attempt" anything this safe if the doctors warn you that "your goose is cooked," for example, if you have metastatic cancer that is too advanced to treat or emergent cancer that is too early to detect.

all were successfully planted for me. each seed! I'm also a new Gardner. They all appear healthy but small after three weeks; this could just be my inexperience.Just a quick update: these are unquestionably getting bigger. After two months, the size is still not what it was in the picture. They seemed to prefer the aquaponic system I switched one to far more than dirt beds. However, overall things are still moving along. However, it appears that they are speeding up growth in the second month. Considering the rate of growth, I estimate a 4–5 month harvest.

I bought this Sprout House sampling a year ago, and though I produce sprouts every week, it has taken me that long to use everything in it. Although it claims to be a little taster, you receive a ton of sprouts! I chose this sampler because I was new to growing sprouts and didn't know what kind of sprouts I liked. It was also certified organic and non-GMO. I recently got started after purchasing a little sprout tray setup. There are countless possible pairings in this. virtually too many!!!!! I was expecting to find a zesty blend because I adore hot and spicy food, but alas, there wasn't any. Maybe sprouts are exempt from this? The following lessons I've learned might be useful to you:1. To give the seeds a head start, place approximately a tablespoon of them in a small cup of warm water and let them sit for about a day. The outer skins will start to pull off.2. Put them in a pot or other easy-to-draining container so you can water them twice day. They shouldn't dry out or drown, either.3. Take care to keep them out of the light, but at least maintain them at room temperature. You don't want them to become too hot or too chilly outside.4. This sampler makes it simple to explore several flavors if you have multiple containers. Just put them a day or two behind so that no harvests mature at the same time.5. When they have fully grown, you should harvest them by taking them out of the growing container, giving them a rinse, and putting them in a Ziploc bag in the fridge. They should persist for three to four days.6. With sprouts, little is usually more. At first, I discovered that I was soaking way too many seeds and producing an excessive number of spouts, which either matured all at once or overgrew, producing tiny plants.Spout cultivation is a fantastic year-round project. I discovered that beginning in the winter was fantastic since it gave me daily access to fresh greens and gave me something to look forward to throughout the gloomy months when little was growing outside. Additionally, sprouting initiatives captivate children and offer them a novel and wholesome experience.Press the button to let me know if this was useful in any way. Do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. I hope you find these as enjoyable as I do.

This kit is quite good. Before I get to the kit review, I should point out that their customer service is a major factor in why they received five stars. I was so careless that I damaged the accompanying instructions. I contacted the seller personally and got a response from her very fast, along with an electronic copy of the instructions. They have impressed me with their friendliness and responsiveness. The directions are straightforward, so I put 4 seeds of each, saving the extras for a second planting if any didn't take. Germination is a tricky creature. In order to observe how customer service would respond if one or more of the kinds failed to germinate, I waited to write my review until I had either successfully germinated every variety. With fewer than half of the seeds used, I can do another round and grow more plants because all four have at least one sprouting plant at this point. In several evaluations I read, mold was described as a significant issue. Please be aware that the potting soil is organic and will mold if not treated. Any potting soil will mold given enough time and the correct circumstances, just like bread, fruit, etc. I had tremendous success with mine by placing the pots in a location with all-day, diffused sunlight, good ventilation, and occasional misting with water. One further time-tested advice for avoiding mold is to scatter a (very!) small bit of cinnamon on the ground after sowing the seeds. It has a built-in antifungal. Additionally, examine the soil at least once a day, and when you notice any mold, just delicately rub it off with a fingertip.EDIT: Additional images and remarks. The plants are flourishing. Jacarandas are spreading like weeds. The first set of "genuine" branches have at least begun on all plants. There are no mold problems, and despite my efforts, the Bristlecone Pine keeps sprouting. I have already taken out one sprout. How fantastic this kit is cannot be overstated!

They arrived when they said they would, are a decent size, and smell wonderful. I'll attempt to upload a photo so you can see how big it is in relation to something. After they are harvested, I'll make an update or a fresh review to let you know how it went. I am really optimistic and am forward to find out. On my lawn, there was a sizable area of bare ground that was left over after a landscaping job. I raked the ground, manually spread the seeds, and then raked some more. I didn't plant these seeds until mid-December because I live in a location of East Texas where nighttime temps would freeze or go very close to it. Nevertheless, these seeds sprouted. Since there was so much rain falling at the time, I never watered. The grass has grown nicely, and I like to think that the neighbors no longer despise me as much.

Given the cost and variety of these seeds, I had serious doubts about their quality. They have more seeds per pack than the majority of similar products that cost more at neighborhood retailers, including "big box" stores with garden centers. Soon after they arrived, we planted some of them in peat cups with potting soil, and the germination rate was really high. Here, you may get a great selection of common garden vegetables. With this purchase, we are quite pleased!

Very enjoyable and simple growing kit. Within two weeks of storing it in my kitchen, the mushrooms were suitable for use. Sadly, I left for vacation before using them, and when I returned they were mostly dead. Excellent gift for any age of gardener.UPDATE: Thanks to Back to the Roots, I now have a second mushroom farm. This time, it was a tremendous success, and I'm already developing a second batch. Here are some of the things I changed that were beneficial:Use of the mister The mister spray bottle that the little farm lacked was present in this new farm because it is the "original" size. A spray bottle will make watering the mushrooms easier or better if you purchase the tiny farm.2. Drink more water. In the kitchen, I kept the farm and the mister bottle that went with it. Spraying the block with water helped keep it moist every time my husband or I passed by.3. Make the hole larger and better at scraping the block. I scraped the block with a knife, but I left some white, un-scraped regions, and it appears that the mushrooms grew there (the scrapped areas seemed to allow water to penetrate better and is probably what triggers the shrooms to sprout). As greater surface area is better, I also made the X larger than I did the last time.4. Gather at the appropriate moment. In accordance with the advice, I picked the mushrooms when their tops began to turn white and their edges became brown. Until I was ready to use them, I stored them in the refrigerator.5. Hold onto the block so you can reap a second (and even third?) harvest. The mushrooms also had a great flavor. I cooked them after letting them sit in teriyaki sauce for a little while. I consumed some on its own, and the remainder was sprinkled on top of a burger. YUM! :)
