lovely O rings I purchased these O rings after spending endless hours trying to properly tighten it and experiencing numerous water leak difficulties. They are actually a tiny bit smaller than the Pentek models, which is a good thing because the Pentek models are actually a tiny bit too large. These fit perfectly. I never employ a wrench. Close all escape routes, hand-tighten just until very snug (avoid over-tightening), and then turn on the water pressure. The oring will be pushed into place and the system will be sealed by the water pressure alone. To ensure that the oring settles and fits into all the nooks and crannies to maintain the system water tight, I let the system sit under pressure for approximately a day before utilizing it.

fantastic way to connect a second device, such as a refrigerator, to your APEC reverse osmosis system. This might be used to plum a coffee maker, an ice maker, etc. We put our RO system in the crawl space area underneath the kitchen, with access from the outside, so it doesn't sit under the sink and we can change the filters there. No matter what occurs, we won't have leaks inside the house, and a door that was placed over the installation makes accessing it simple from the outside. Although it is a bit excessive, we enjoy having the system out of the way and connected it to both our refrigerator and sink faucet so that we can receive great ice and drinking water. The system just empties the waste water into a garden bed outside because we didn't want to enter our sewer line. I hope that was helpful. There are no drips and all of the hookups function properly.

All is well thus far. I have a GE Smartwater RO system, and after changing the filters and membrane, I noticed that the water pressure would initially be strong for about five seconds, then immediately decrease, continue to decrease, and finally come out barely. The drain line continued to stream for 20 to 30 minutes after I turned the faucet back off. After doing some preliminary study, I removed the check valve and found that I could blow air (by mouth) in both ways, which is a sign that it is no longer functioning because it should only allow flow in one direction. I therefore placed an order and replaced that component, but the issue persisted. I therefore ordered this ASO valve to replace my previous one. The male pieces on my last one were threaded, but I really like these easy joins. Since some of the tubes connecting to the old ASO valve were so short, accessing it was a little challenging. To lower the old ASO valve so I could reach it, I had to remove one of them. It should only take a few minutes to change your ASO valve if you have easy access to it. Anyway, I replaced the "IN" and "OUT" by matching them up with the previous one. Rearranged everything, restarted the water, and checked for leaks... No leaking! Phase 1 is finished! The RO faucet's water pressure will now be tested. pressure that is constant and strong! Moreover, there won't be any leftover water in the drain tube. Success. I made a big glass of water for myself as a celebration. I guess not really. I poured myself a bourbon, but I could have poured a huge glass of water if I had wanted to.

I bought this unit so that I could connect my new reverse osmosis system to my refrigerator and create ice and water. Although most refrigerators are 3/8 or 1/4, there are no adapters supplied for this, therefore the unit still functions perfectly. Although I did buy things separately, I would have gladly paid an additional $5 to have it included in this set. I believe that the majority of folks that buy this are attempting to connect a fridge water/ice connection. When you buy the RO unit, all the additional connections you require are also included. Why not make things simpler by combining all the fridge adapters into a single kit? Other than that, the connections are excellent and the tube is made of durable plastic. There are only 2 typical sizes, so if you offer a kit, just include all the parts you MIGHT need. This is why I awarded it four stars. There isn't a significant pricing difference in this case.

This is the 20" Big Blue Pentek, which I purchased to utilize on a Pentek 150233 housing. Here, right now, is the key! The plastic wrench is a waste of money because it will break. You'll likely cry and be furious. This provides a ton of leverage and fits like a glove. I anticipate using it for a very long time.The overall standard is high. The handle's edges are rough and harsh, and that fifth star is now gone. Whoever tried to deburr in the factory should be reassigned to cleaning the restrooms. Look at your work, please. It is evident that they are bigger than the OEM ones. 151122 PentexAt first, I assumed some subpar imitations.But I did install and test them eventually. They sit higher out of the groove because they are thicker and taller. is simpler to remove since more rubber is positioned above the grove.I hope they last and the rubber quality is just as good as OEM. Only time will tell. However, because they are higher and have more rubber, they ought to provide a better seal in the end. Which is what I would assume. Additionally, I have a good deal of general plumbing experience.and shouldn't even need to be tightened as much for a good seal as the OEM ones.

I didn't notice any of the concerns, but I believe I may know how to prevent them:• Make sure to order the right version first and foremost. For systems produced before a specific pair of dates, there is a Type "A," and for systems produced after those dates, there is a Type "B." The Type "B" box, when clicked, will display those dates. Before placing your order, double check that you have chosen the appropriate ("A" or "B") box. I bought Type "B" because my system was created in 2018, and the replacement o-rings looked exactly like the originals.• When installing the two carbon filters, I used food-grade o-ring lubricant on all three of the o-rings and the flat rubber washers at each end. I applied grease liberally but thinly to everything's surface. Grease reduces friction loads, which can harm rubber components and give an inaccurate reading of the torque exerted. There are numerous brands to choose from; I used Haynes Lubri-Film sanitary lubricant, which retails for around $8 for a 4 ounce tube and can lubricate numerous o-rings.• After installing each filter case, I tightened it using the tool that came with the original set. I pulled until each was somewhat firmer than firm; on the wrench, I may have applied 5-8 lbs of pressure.Good fortune. I sincerely hope that was useful.
