I appreciate that it includes a sounding board on both sides so you get twice as much use out of it. This is a wonderful call for the price (and for backward-strokers like a quick cluck). The only thing I don't like about it is that it required a lot of repetition to get the correct tone out of it; initially, it had a much higher pitch than our local turkeys. It took some time and practice, but I eventually got a lower range out of it. Other calls I've received have generally always sounded the way I desired. All calls, however, require practice. Nothing major.

I had never used a slate call until this year when I used the call. Using the cover, I quickly answered the calls. I removed the cover after a short while and was able to duplicate the calls. Making precise and genuine noises is simpler than with my mouth calls. In general, you can't go wrong with this slate call if you want to try one for the first time or need to replace an old one.

I bought this to add to my collection of calls for the upcoming fall turkey season. I like to think I got the fundamentals of it down after an hour or two of practice with the call and watching online videos. If you don't already have a pot call, it's a no-brainer to get your basic calls down on for such a low fee. Though I haven't used it to call the hens in yet, I can tell you that the calls I was able to make it create after some practice sound exactly like the chickens I've called in with previous calls.

Despite the fact that most turkey hunters are at ease using box calls, I think these two diaphragm calls are perfect! Although I am a novice turkey hunter, I usually end up performing all the calling with these two methods when I go out with friends, and we have had wonderful success. Hello, guys! I wanted to go over these calls for the turkey. Since these are the first turkey calls I have ever purchased and used, I can't say for sure if they're the greatest, but I can say that they're pretty good. I was a little hesitant to purchase something without any reviews, but it came in a pack of four, and it was quite affordable. I had never used a turkey call before. I got really proficient at yelling after a little practice. I've heard that novices should utilize calls without cuts because they are simpler to use, however I was able to use these calls just fine. I strive to make my reviews as useful as possible because I find Amazon reviews to be quite helpful. These are cheap and very effective. I heartily endorse them for both novice and seasoned callers.

a great selection of turkey calls at low prices. A slate (pot) call with a wood striker, a box call, and a mouth diaphragm call are all included in one price. These aren't the best products on the market or even in the Primos brand, it must be said. BUT they will work and are therefore worth the cost. I won't spend a lot of money on an extensive collection of top-of-the-line calls or spend days fine-tuning a custom call because I'm not a very serious turkey hunter. Other than the most skilled turkey hunters, these will work just well. I can produce a variety of authentic-sounding turkey noises with these with a little practice. I am not now, and I never will be, the best turkey caller. This will work for you if you're a guy like me and like to go outside for a day or two or three twice a year when turkey season starts. These probably aren't for you if you plan on competing and traveling from state to state in search of grand slams and trophy birds. Is it in the right tone? Most likely not... But I lack the ability to distinguish the difference with my ears. I also lack the ability to distinguish a Strativarious from a violin from a flea market. Recall that the Native Americans formerly used a wing bone that had been scraped on a rock to fill their kettle.
