Are spray in bed liners worth it?

Spray in bed liners are definitely worth it! They are much more durable and long lasting than traditional bed liners, and they also look great. They are a bit more expensive than traditional bed liners, but they are definitely worth the extra money.

Do rubber truck mats cause rust?

Rust is a common problem for truck owners, and there are a number of factors that can contribute to the formation of rust on a truck. One of these factors is the use of rubber truck mats. While rubber mats can help protect the floor of a truck from dirt and debris, they can also trap moisture against the metal, which can lead to rust formation. If you are concerned about rust on your truck, be sure to clean and dry your rubber mats regularly, and consider using mats made of materials that are less likely to trap moisture, such as vinyl or polypropylene.

For the 5.5' bed of my 2018 F-150 Super Crew, I ordered this truck bed mat. Fit is ideal. This mat fulfills my primary need of keeping objects from sliding around. has a rough bottom that faces the truck bed and a gripping flat surface (for water dispersion I assume).Ford dealerships wanted between $140 and $240 for their floor mats, so $70 on Amazon is a great value. Even though it isn't particularly thick (approximately 3/8 including the bumps), it should be sufficient for most items. I believe you will be dissatisfied and should look for a thicker mat if you plan to toss heavy objects into the bed and expect this mat to protect from dents (or use a stall mat cut to suit; they are 3/4" thick). I believe this product will meet your needs if you want general scratch prevention and a non-slip surface.

This will fit your truck, not this box on Amazon, however it does fit a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Double Cab. On the plus side: It was really quick and simple to install and it grips the bed quite well. The packaging was a touch damaged, but it wasn't a major concern. Although I haven't had the chance to tote anything yet, it is thick and seems to be highly robust. It seems like a wonderful offer for the money (better than paying for a spray-on bed liner; if this one is damaged, I can easily get another one). It has a lovely grip as well. I had expected it to remain rolled up in some places and for me to put things on top of it to flatten it out, but this was not the case. I rolled it out in the bed, and with the exception of a half inch at one end, it is totally flat. I'm not sure why there is a line at one end, but it's not like I'm entering my truck in a competition to see who has the finest bed liner.Dislikes: I wish it had came a little bit longer so I could measure it out and cut it myself. It was trimmed a total of about 1.5" short, which is annoying. It doesn't reach the bottom of either wheel well all the way. It appears to have been hacked in some places with a rusty pocketknife. In all other respects, it seems to fit perfectly. I'll be happy to post an update if it encounters any issues.

In a Ford Super Duty truck, I spent four years using a Dee Zee bed mat. One of the nicest accessories I added, it endured nicely. The thick rubber surface is soft on the knees and prevents anything placed in the bed from sliding. My 2018 Chevy Colorado short bed truck already has a bedliner that was sprayed on when I acquired it. Although it appeared abrasive enough to shred the bags on products like groceries and plastic bags of water softener salt, the sprayed surface kept cargo from slipping. On the basis of my previous experience, I purchased a Dee Zee mat for the new truck. The mat fit the bed well, and installation couldn't be easier.

Dee Zee DZ86917 Heavyweight Bed Mat Review:

See, kind of subjective. For approximately ten years, I used one of these in a Tacoma 6" bed. Perfect fit, lay right in, with some room around the borders, no complaints (although, it smelled like rubber, a LOT, and for a LONG TIME, so that made sleeping in the back of the truck with a bed cap a little strange, like I was dozing in a tire shop while waiting for an alignment and balance). While the item's usefulness did not change with time, the smell did. Solid, held things in place; occasionally annoyingly so, requiring getting up into the bed to shift things that just wouldn't slide. In the end, I carried a few cardboard sheets from excessively large Amazon boxes on top (and underneath) just in case. You'd be surprised at how frequently this stuff proves useful.Ten years later, the truck had served its duty and I needed a bigger, more powerful vehicle to transport our belongings to our retirement home in Northern Alabama. I finally settled on a 2018 Ram 2500HD with a 6.7L Cummins TD and a 6'-4" bed.subsequently repeated the same arrangement. I received the rolled-up mat today in a big brown truck, and I placed it there tonight.[TIP TO MFR: To make it simpler to unroll into the vehicle, consider rolling it bottom side out. It will be a little strange to handle because of the tiny, pointed injection molding nubs, if that's what they are. The drivers of Big Brown wear gloves. Thus, it hardly suits.Define fits as "edges meet tub/bed perimeter".When something "almost" fits, the edges are raised because the factory/OEM liner makes it about 3/4–1” too wide/long. This isn't always a bad thing because any spills or pools of water will probably collect and pour out the back of the bed. This would probably fit perfectly in my truck if the liner weren't there. It's interesting to note that my Tacoma ALSO had a liner, albeit a large plastic tub that covered the entire bed.Was there a "with liner" or "without" choice when I ordered this that I somehow overlooked?I got it set up, and I'm hoping that as the weather warms up and I add a few hundred pounds of tools, camping gear, and other stuff, it will fit a bit better.I'm now debating getting rid of the large plastic tub and paying for a spray-on coating or liner. However, I'd rather to scrape the liner than dent the bed's sides from the inside out.The bottom line is that it won't "fit" if you have a liner.I would have given this five stars if it weren't for all this mischegoss. Dee-Zee should make it crystal clear which truck option - unlined, plastic liner - this mat is manufactured for.

While the quality control is lacking, the fit is flawless. It came swiftly and fits perfectly, as though it were designed just for my truck. Mine has a sizable area where it appears to have failed to cure adequately. It's a great lovely mat, and it will do the job just fine because I bought it to protect my bed liner from dings and scratches from using the truck bed. I won't be upset if I later muck it up with something because it already has some flaws. Only when you are touching it does it have a tacky quality (i.e., a sticky sensation). Nothing that would require washing comes off on your hands. It's strange because, despite what you might have thought, your hands are not sticky after touching it. I would unquestionably purchase another one and suggest it to anyone in need of a mat at a reasonable price.***UPDATE***Emailing back almost promptly and offering to replace with a different mat was DeeZee. I don't think the flaw is serious enough to warrant spending time returning it and perhaps receiving another with even worse problems. The 4 Stars will remain merely because this transaction came so close to being flawless.

Dee Zee DZ86996 Heavyweight Bed Mat Review:

I got this mat from Amazon, and it arrived quite quickly. The mat's plastic wrapper was already partially open when I first looked at it. I reasoned that since the package was heavy and unwieldy, the mailman may have accidentally opened it by handling it roughly. When I unrolled it, I discovered an unusual piece of cardboard that had been partially molded into the mat, as though it had been dropped in during the molding process or something. To me, it appeared like someone else had seen the flaw and chosen to return the item to Amazon. In addition to having the cardboard embedded in it, the mat appeared to be substantial and well-made. It does suit my truck, a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic 5'-7," quite well "4x4 Warlock Edition Crew Cab.The manufacturer's website did state that this Dee Zee mat model (DZ86996) will fit a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic 5'-7" "4x4 Crew Cab. For some reason, Amazon claims that it won't fit my truck.I'm going to try out a different Dee Zee mat. I simply had bad luck ordering one from Amazon. It did appear to fit well. Crossing fingers.

fantastic stuff I received mine precisely as described when I purchased it from the Amazon Warehouse in "Used, in Like New" condition. It had no marks on it. Fit perfectly into my 5.5-foot bed. It will actually take some getting accustomed to because it is SO GRIPPILY. It has good and terrible aspects. It won't be as unpleasant, in my opinion, until the mat begins to accumulate some dust. It feels nearly nasty right now.I don't know what else to say about it, really. Perhaps I was fortunate in terms of the mat's cut and fit, since other reviews described extremely terrible cuts and fits. Mine fits flawlessly and is exactly symmetrical. It somewhat reduces road noise as well. This device is excellent if all you use your bed for is carrying "everyday" goods. Spend the money on a spray-in liner and disregard this if you routinely slide heavy objects in and out of your bed or move sand, gravel, mulch, etc. Remember that it is being held in place by gravity. If you routinely have palleted goods forked into your bed, they must be dropped directly down. The mat will just slip and clump up, making it impossible to advance them with the forks.I adore this item. After the tonneau cover, it ought to have been my second item.

Dee Zee DZ87011 Heavyweight Bed Mat Review:

In our 2019 Ford F350, I put the DZ87011 Bed mat in place. The fit is excellent. I needed to cut a 4." "For the fifth wheel hitch ball, there is a diameter hole in the mat. I first tried to cut the hole using a razor knife. The razor had no effect. After that, I chose to utilize a 4 "hole saw and my electric drill together. The mat is so durable that smoke could be seen coming from the drill's engine. This mat is built incredibly nicely. To provide some cushioning when large objects are dropped into the track bed, there is a top and bottom layer of a very durable rubber material that is then sandwiched between layers of rubber-impregnated carpet-like material.I'm pleased with the fit and can verify that this device is strong, resilient, and well made based on my experience of almost burning out an electric drill. I'm ecstatic with the purchase.

Toyota Accessories PT580-35050-SB Bed Mat for Short Bed Tacoma Models Review:

Given that Amazon has an excellent return policy, I decided to purchase this as a return/open box at a discounted price. Well, I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport 5 foot short bed, and most Toyota websites and Amazon indicate this item does not fit my car. However, after reading the reviews and realizing that many of them said it will fit my car, I decided to take a chance. When I opened it after receiving it, it appeared to be brand-new and was a great fit for my Tacoma. I was able to pick this up thanks to Amazon and all the positive past reviews, and I couldn't be happier.

Dee Zee DZ86700 Heavyweight Tailgate Mat Review:

Zee Dee large weight The bed mat and the tailgate are constructed of separate materials. The material of the Tailgate is significantly more robust. It has a distinct texture and color.Like others, I didn't want to screw into the tailgate of my 2016 F-150. I applied the strong 3M Velcro tape. I should have recorded the installation because I could not find any videos that demonstrated how to use this method.Under the plastic paint cover, I applied the hook-shaped piece of tape across the top of the tailgate's width. I initially used alcohol to remove the paint. I then used scissors to trim any necessary edges before choosing which end would mount on top. Use alcohol to clean it before attaching the loop tape to the mat. I only needed to cut the mat in a few tough spots.I rolled the mat up, washed the paint, and affixed hook and loop strips to the tailgate after the top of the mat had been attached to the tailgate. At the bottom, in the middle, and on both sides, there are two genuine strips. I completed this task in several steps. First, I joined the remaining pieces of hook and loop tape. Second, I cut the strips to the length I needed, lined up each side, and used alcohol to clean the area. The hook side was thirdly fastened to the tailgate. The mat has been held and folded in half during this entire period. Where the tape will come into touch with the mat, I wiped it with alcohol. Once it had dried, I took off the tape cover on the tape's loop side and gradually rolled the mat down. The tape is holding it so far. View images.
