If you're a professional photographer or videographer who needs robustness, cutting-edge capabilities, etc., it might not be up to par, but for a casual user like me, it's more than sufficient.I mainly place a Zoom H6 field recorder on it to record band practices, demos, and performances. Not sure about a DSLR or mirrorless counterpart on the hefty side; for that, I use (and highly suggest) the Pedco UltraPod II if I require a compact tripod. But I have recently used the Fugetek to hold my YN360 LED light wand during a video shoot, and it performed admirably. It's about the size of the UltraPod, as you can see from my photos, and it supported my light wand with a massive, weighty battery on it. I wasn't able to articulate the ball joint in the Fugetek to point high when I used it on the ground with my GoPro mounted on it, which is why I didn't give this device a perfect five-star rating. The ability to point a mounted camera upward was significantly constrained; in order to get a good upward image, I had to find something to prop up two legs. In any case, this costs half as much as the UltraPod II and less than the Manfrotto compact tripod, so it is a good deal. I'm satisfied with it as long as it doesn't break, and I might even get a second one to support my other YN360 during on-location, quick-and-dirty mobile shots without having to haul around bulky equipment.**UPDATE**The ball joint does, in fact, pivot enough to achieve a respectable vertical inclined angle. To enable the entire movement, you must adjust the top mount to a specific point. The ball joint will either stop from enabling full articulation or move back further depending on which way the base is facing when you try to slide the top mount back. To locate the secret sweet place that is not blocked, you must twist the base. For the value, I raised my rating to 5 stars.

It feels solid, high-quality, and professional, and even before I started playing about with it (day 2), I was in love. With so many possible positions, it is also quite useful. After deactivating the lock above the legs (with the indication "high — low"), the legs can also be hoisted high, enabling an almost flat position. Edit 6/20/18: After reading my initial assessment, UBeesize contacted me to apologize. They sent me a replacement tripod, and I can report that it is currently functioning flawlessly.
