Fits a typical 1/4" tripod mount!selfie rod? Please understand that I don't belong to their generation.However, to film my workbench from above, I needed a lengthy extension. The plan was to extend this sick out over my workstation from a tripod that was placed off to the side.Nothing was said regarding the opening on the handle side; there were no declarations or inquiries and answers.I gladly took a chance after doing so! It works!Additionally, it has some "weight" at the handle size, which balances off some of the GoPro I dangle from the ceiling (still need to add a 5lbs weight if handing a DSLR).Whatever the case, this was just what I needed.One more thing: I didn't realize it, but to lock and unlock the extension, you must fully twist the far end. I initially believed it to be a subpar product that wouldn't remain in place. However, if you "twist" it, it locks securely!

Cold shoe mounted without a difficulty. Checked 1/4" with 20 taps on the bottom and side; everything was fine. Doors, buttons, and screens were all successfully accessed. Good 52mm filter thread inspection. GoPro hardware mount taps have been checked, and they are good.I thus proclaim my copy to be completely solid, useful, and durable since there are no moving components and nothing that is likely to shatter without considerable force.Cheapest price for a GoPro cage. What an amazing tripod. Although I originally intended to use this with my Nikon, I ended up utilizing it with both my phone and my GoPro. fast to set up and extremely portable and light. come with a Bluetooth remote and a travel bag as well.
