I had some trouble putting these on as well, but after reading the other reviews, I just bent down every other tab. They fit perfectly and snugly. I attempted to remove them, but it appears that they are securely fastened. I adore how they updated the wheels and transformed the truck's appearance. These trim rings are exactly what I needed. Stainless steel is undoubtedly the finish. It has a satin finish rather than a polished one that resembles a mirror. Looking at your reflection in it, you could not possibly shave. I give the wheels where these rings will cover a nice coat of wax before applying a decent coat on the rings. My fingerprints were no longer an issue once they were shielded. You probably already know how easily fingerprints appear on stainless steel.When installing, I began by forcing the ring into the rim from the bottom up. I then worked my way around the rim. I either applied extra pressure or tightened the ring with my hand's palm when there was only 20% left to go on. These rings will leave marks on the wheels, but as long as the ring is in place, the marks won't be visible.To be clear, the rings are constructed of stainless steel and have an inside clip ring made of spring steel to hold on to the rims. They don't include any plastic. They flex as they travel along, but as long as they don't bend, dent, or stretch, that's okay.They look terrific!

One of my Tesla's heartbreaking experiences was a scratch on the tire rim. Unexpectedly, there is no protection, and a black tire rim can easily be scratched by a brilliant, gleaming metal. Once you have it, you can readily see it. I need something to cover the existing amount on one of my tires. additionally to avoid further tire scratches This rim protector has an intriguing design with a layer of rigid plastic rod between two layers of plastic holders. The plastic holder is firmly snapped onto the plastic rod with 3M adhesive that appears to be strong enough to hold it. I hope the protection is effective for a long time. I just completed installing one tire, which took approximately 3 minutes. Not bad, then.
