I modified this device and will use it for golf because I find it difficult to keep an accurate tally of my strokes. Anyway, if you look closely, you can see a small "bead" of expoy on top of the red, increment, button. This is so I can find it easily without looking when my hand is on the unit. I have also placed a bar over the green, decrement, button to prevent me from accidentally pressing it. I needed to keep an accurate count, so I purchased this. I removed the battery, shortened the lengthy strap by taking one end out of the battery slot, knotted the end, and then attached the carabineer (blue object) so I could quickly attach it to my belt loop. Although I haven't used it yet, I have high hopes that it will benefit my golf game as promised. Reset and Power off require some fiddling, but they work fine and won't power on or off accidentally.
