HYCLAT Gray 2-4 Gauge Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect Wire Harness Plug Connector Recovery Winch Trailer (2 Pack) Review:

In order to attach and demount a Viper 12K winch on my Nissan Titan Pro-4x, I used the HYCLAT 2-4 Gauge Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect, and these connectors make it simple. I attached the wiring from the battery to the base of the radiator by using a hydraulic crimper to splice these connectors into the 2-gauge wiring that came with the winch and covering the wires with split-loom tubing for added chafing/short protection (where one of these connectors hangs). I just unplug these connectors from the winch when it is not in use, insert the provided plug into the connector that is hanging by the radiator, and the winch is now safe from mud and snow and ready to use the next time I need it. Pull the plug from the connector on the truck, insert the connector from the winch, slide the winch into the Curt front hitch, and you're done! The stainless wires used to keep the plugs with the connector are about an inch too short; this makes it a little more difficult to insert the plug than it could otherwise be. That is the only drawback.

OrionMotorTech 2-4 Gauge 175A Battery Cable Quick Connect/ Disconnect Plug Kit Recovery Winch Trailer, 12-36V DC Review:

Well-packaged and delivered ahead of schedule. I installed a 1,0000 watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter using this connector kit in my brand-new Toyota Sienna XLE van that has been modified to be wheelchair accessible. To reduce the length of the wire run, the inverter had to be installed underneath the driver's seat. To make it simple to remove the seat and use my power chair as the driver's seat, this quick disconnect was necessary. Installation was simple thanks to its design, which allowed for soldering the #2AWG cable for a clear, robust, and resistance-free connection. When I first looked at the plugs, I was a little confused because there was no visible male/female plug. A brief glance at the Amazon images revealed that the plugs are made to slip into one another when one is turned 180 degrees. Pure brilliance! Just make sure to account for this flip when soldering the cable ends to avoid mistakenly connecting the positive input cable to the negative output cable. DON'T advocate crimping. Excellent item, and I heartily endorse it.

BUNKER INDUST 175A 1/0AWG Battery Quick Connect Wire Harness Plug Kit Battery Cable Quick Connect Disconnect Plug for Winch Auto Car Trailer Driver Electrical Devices,2 Pcs,Red Review:

Excellently built and functional. Clearer and longer assembly instructions might be provided. The direction the wire tip end enters the plastic housing is not indicated. The tip is hooked, and upon closer inspection, the hook is shown to clip over a metal component within the plastic shell. I made the decision to solder (as opposed to crimp) the tip on after reading the reviews and looking at the wire tip. If using the crimping method, it would require a lot of effort to collapse the wire hole sufficiently to hold a 10 AWG wire because the tip is fairly robust. A crimp is tough to "redo" if you make a mistake (as several reviews reveal). Simply clamp the tip in a vice, ignite a propane torch, and solder your wire into place to use soldering. The end effect is a fast connection that works well and requires some effort to disconnect (which is GOOD). Love the product!

These are outstanding! I'm so glad I discovered these "Red" Quick Connect ends once more! These are the same as the "Red" Quick Connect ends that were previously included with all KFI products (BEFORE KFI Products switched to their newer "Yellow" Quick Connect Ends). In that case, if you own any of the "Older Red" KFI Products, as I do and have listed below, you will adore these. I only wish KFI Products had simply continued utilizing the "Red" Quick Connect ends, as KFI's Yellow must be "carved at" with a knife in order to connect to the Red Connectors. Here are all the cables I own and have moved from boat to boat and vehicle to vehicle.Quick-Connect 20 (QC-20), Quick-Connect 48 (QC-48), Quick-Connect 96 (QC-96), and Quick-Connect 120 (QC-120)I hope that was helpful.

Orion Motor Tech 6-8 Gauge Battery Quick Connect Disconnect Wire Harness Plug Kit for Recovery Winch or Trailer, 12-36V DC, 50A Review:

These high amperage connectors appear to be well manufactured. These are being used in my SUV along with a 1000W inverter. Although the circuit is fused for 80A, technically the 50A rating is a little low for this, and I don't want to run loads over that. For 6 AWG wire, the terminals are the proper size. I'm not sure why other people had issues with the terminals, unless there was a packaging error or they weren't aware of the size of the wire they were using. Since these terminals are solid barrel terminals, you will require a high strength crimper or solder to crimp them. I had no issues using a big hex crimper. Regarding those who are having difficulties with the connection block holding the terminals, if the wire has thick insulation and it butts up against the terminals, you will need to drive the terminal into the block firmly until it clicks audibly and will not budge. The termination should be spaced apart from the wire insulation by about 1/16" to 1/8" for best results. This might just be necessary because I used heat shrink tubing to seal the connections, but it could help people who are having difficulties getting the terminal to seat. When I understood the root of the issue with the first terminal I installed, I removed the remaining components a little more thoroughly. Additionally, watch out for inserting the terminal the wrong way.

HYCLAT Red 6-10 Gauge Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect Wire Harness Plug Connector Recovery Winch Trailer | 12-36V DC, 50A Review:

To quickly detach the PV panels from the charge controller and the charge controller from the inverter in my solar power system, I purchased two of them. The wires are 10 and 6 awg in size, respectively. The Anderson nickel-plated brass connections were placed in a vise, and I partially filled them with solder before heating them with a Harbour Fright small torch. I then heated both ends of the stripped wire as I placed it into the connector. Without having to crimp and distort the connectors, this provided for a fantastic sting connection. As they can only snap into the red plastic shell, some solder did drip down onto the connector blade, thus I did had to file it off. To prevent solder from running down the connector, place a piece of cardboard with a pencil hole on it and place it in the vice.

Battery Quick Connect Disconnect Electrical Plug 2-4 Gauge 175 Amps for Recovery Winch or Trailer Review:

used to connect the power to the winch.Other than the relatively loose dust cover, which has been mentioned in other reviews, it works perfectly using 4ga stranded cable. Some people pointed out that 0 or 2 gauge cable cannot be used with the termination pins."Terminal pins are 0.35" in diameter and can accommodate wire gage of 0-4," the description does state.Using calipers, I discovered that the terminal pin's interior diameter is 0.345 inches and its outside diameter is 0.500 inches. The description is correct because the standard diameter of an AWG 0ga conductor is 0.3249in.I didn't attempt adding 0 ga cable, but based on how beautifully your cable strands lay up into a lovely cylindrical bundle, I'm assuming it's probably a tight fit (.345 -.325 =.020 clearance).AWG is based on a solid conductor or total cross sectional area, so a stranded cable bundle will have a larger diameter than the nominal AWG standard dimension. As a result, it's possible that a labeled 0ga stranded cable won't fit easily into the 0.345-0.350 terminal pin without having some strands cut.
