The drain in our bathtub got clogged shortly after we moved into our new home, and, praise the Lord, the stopper that ought to have been simple to twist off was stuck in place due to rust. The grooves cling so well that I almost believed they were covered in a hidden glue (clarification: there is no adhesive, these pliers are just that awesome). I removed the stopper with no issues at all. Heck, the task was so simple that I was compelled to look for additional household tasks to complete in order to feel successful.Have I mentioned how great the clicking adjustment system is? I've used conventional pliers before that require some effort to set up, but IRWIN's clicking method is well worth the cost. Actually, I'm amazed that they don't charge a little bit more for having something unique compared to their rivals. As I work, the click maintains my setting in place and doesn't move.The point is that these will work more than fine if you need excellent household pliers. I was defrauded! Jerk. Someone stole my toolbox. As I require them, I have gradually begun replacing the lost tools. A dependable, heavy, enormous channel lock wrench that my father had given me was among the misplaced items. The tool must have been more than 50 years old. It was capable of being used as a weapon.I didn't understand how small this new wrench was until I received it because I don't read; it is maybe a quarter the size of what I anticipated. But what a fortunate incident! I frequently employ it. It is robustly built and sturdy yet weighing nothing. It is simple to modify. Actually, I believe the compact size is more practical for my way of life. However, I haven't encountered a circumstance that calls for a lot of torque (single woman in condo). Therefore, at some point I might need to purchase a larger weapons grade wrench, but that day has not yet arrived. It's a good thing I ordered the wrong item since this little guy holds his own.

These channel lock pliers are the BEST I've ever owned. The Groovelock technology prevents the adjustment from slipping, unlike other traditional channel lock pliers. It also makes adjusting the pliers quick and easy. The grips are quite cosy. I use this incredibly adaptable tool to tighten electrical couplers and connectors. Even the interior of the jaw has been used by me as a crimper. A wonderful all-purpose tool to keep in your toolbox is the 10-inch tool. The 8-inch tool, which I believe to be even more convenient, adaptable, and manoeuvrable, belongs in my tool bag as well.

For the same price as one Craftsman adjustable pliers, you get a set of two. Nice craftsmanship, and I appreciate the pliers' adaptability due to their many sizes. The 10" pliers are replacing an older set that I had been using around the house for years, and I put the 8" pliers in my wife's car. As far back as I can remember, my dad has used Craftsman tools. You truly can't go wrong in this situation because both he and I believed in their quality.

The ones that were shipped to me were a piece of $#!* and were completely worthless due to poor casting. Really awful, I won't go into detail. I've discovered that standard Chinese quality control is, um, left up to the consumer. The factory must have been having a slow day. I returned them.I purchased a different pair, and they are good. The grooves might be a little harsh or unpolished, but at $7, they're fine.They are excellent if your fingers are too big or if they aren't strong enough. These might be the only pliers you require if you're not a mechanic. They make a solid starting couple. A useful item to keep in the kitchen drawer.Although little, they are not truly 4 1/2 inches. The slotted, longest plier is 1/16 of an inch shy of being 5 inches long. Are "pliers," which are always sold in pairs, singular or plural? My third finger is on the long pliers to open them, and I just use my thumb and first two fingers to operate them.They're Chinese-made. On the packaging, it states "Made in China," so don't be alarmed. Although the quality can be hit or miss, there are more and more successes each time, and the cost is consistently low.I'm old enough to own eight sets of different-sized Channellock-style pliers. I took them out after my experience with them and examined their "quality." Unexpectedly, the two I liked best and had the best finishes were created in China. They do occasionally get things quite correct. Additionally, I recently discovered a complete bucket of 6 inch locking pliers at a big box retailer for for $2 apiece. They were flawless; the manufacturer must have had a great day.Purchasing Chinese is best done at a place where you can handle them. The second-best option is Amazon, where you have a month to return items if you receive a miss.

Since I first saw a pair of these Channellock tiny pliers in a friend's toolbox many years ago, I've wanted a set. Unlike the ones available now, this pair was plated and did not have handles that were dipped in plastic. Mine have come in VERY helpful. The jaws of the set I purchased, which are only about 4-5/8" long, can clamp down on objects that are about half an inch thick. These pliers can be used for a variety of tasks. These tiny jawed pliers allow me to grab some tiny parts much more securely than I could previously using slipping needle nose pliers. They were made in the United States, which is a commendable achievement given the state of the economy in our country. I enjoy them!
