One needed to be replaced, and I struggled mightily to locate it locally at either major hardware stores, local hardware stores, or even a specialty hardware provider (they didn't have the component in stock; I had to order it). I decided to see if I could purchase directly from Kohler. But their website is awful, making it impossible to confidently locate this section. On the other hand, Amazon was amazing with the proper pricing and free Prime shipping!I placed an order for two sets of these. Both packages have little tears and/or openings (maybe normal). In the primary packing, a locknut and spacer were left free. We purchased two levers but just one set of locknuts and spacers!LOCKNUT SPACER: According to a customer review, the locknut is not meant to be included with this item. The item description doesn't mention this. I was going to send back one set and have Amazon send me a replacement, hoping that the new set would include the locknut/spacer pair, but I decided that it would be too much bother, especially if the new set didn't include them and I would have to wait an additional couple of days. I went to a nearby hardware store in the hopes of finding these locknuts there and drove down there. An employee at the hardware store informed me that the levers and locknuts MUST be purchased together and cannot be purchased separately.Lesson learned: To complete the task without having to go back to Amazon, I used the locknut from a lever I had already purchased. The lesson here is to keep spare parts if you have storage room for them. In the long run, they might help you save time and money.TIP #2: In case you weren't aware, these locknuts' threading is also inverted! So use caution when taking the old out of the tank.BETTER LUCK!

Because we couldn't find a replacement arm that would fit the concave front of our master toilet, we had to spend months dangling the broken lever by its bolt on the open edge of the tank. I finally made the decision to spend 20 minutes and less than $20 replacing it, even though the cats continued to have easy access to non-water bowl water. Yes, it only took five minutes to find this product on Amazon, five minutes to locate the socket set and remove the old, corroded lever, five minutes to install, and five minutes to write this review in order to prevent hundreds of dollars in water damage from occasional pump overspray and my father's disappointment. Although Korky offers videos to assist with installation, I found it to be simple to use—one flush to set the arm's angle and one flush to set the direction. My spouse claimed it was made of fragile, cheap plastic, but I thought it was quite sturdy. He shouldn't say anything even if it breaks because I found his comment to be unappreciative; else, he'll have to find a new wife and a new master toilet. I'll update this review when the product and my marriage are still going strong.

After the original plastic components in my current building tanks started to fall apart, I bought one of these. These side mounts are of an unknown brand. Without the rubber gasket, these fit into the square hole. If not, the wouldn't fit. They perform flawlessly. It took some getting used to them moving in the other direction, but the efficient functioning is well worth it. Although the cam inside the handle includes plastic components, they seem to operate considerably more robustly. Since I was happy with the first one, I bought a second one before the first one broke and replaced it as soon as it arrived. There was an oddity: these handles' locking threads, which are typically left-handed threads, are right-handed. This is entirely distinct. They are designed in this way to prevent regular use from unscrewing the lock nut's threads. They are right hand threads since they operate in reverse and have the same function. Do not attempt to install them like standard levers as this could harm the threads.

Next, remove the nut completely after loosening the old component. (I used a set of channel locks, but some good pliers would work just as well.) To ensure that the handle stays in the horizontal position, tighten the new component. There will be a slight downward angle to the attached lever. Making sure the chain is not too tight or too loose, attach it. The rubber piece won't properly seat over the hole if it's too tight, and the tank won't be able to fill.To ensure proper installation, flush once. The rubber "hole cover" should be up and the lever should be horizontal with the tank when the handle is depressed, allowing water to exit the tank. It should also stay in place as the water level drops, sitting over the hole once more when almost all of the water has left the tank. [GLUG!, [GLUG!, [GLUG!]] The lever should now be angled once more downward.Water from the supply line should flow into the hole after it has been "plugged again" to fill the tank. The water will shut off when the level is proper (which may also be adjusted depending on the equipment you have), and you'll be prepared for the following successful flush.To install the new component, I didn't even need to turn off the water supply. It performs flawlessly!

Others bring up poor design. But when it arrived, I unscrewed the plastic portion from the handle to have a closer look because I was curious about how it could fast chew through the metal grip. I was unable to remove it from the old, damaged one since it was frozen solid.To my astonishment, the metal rod's end had no finishing touches applied after it had been machined, and all of the edges there were extremely sharp. With those knife-sharp edges, it will chisel right through the metal handle. I smoothed out the edges by filing them down. Touching my flesh gently. In my rental apartment's half-bathroom, there is a really dreadful ancient toilet. My landlord chose the worst staff because they were cheap and lazy to solve issues. He simply tightened the nut inside the tank and called it a day when I stated that the original flusher doesn't function properly (it pushes down but doesn't level back on its own). The flusher ceased operating after a week. The plastic component that was pulling the chain snapped. I chose to handle the problem myself because I was so furious with the staff for not paying attention to my issue. Online, I made this buy. It does work well, which surprised me. It fits my old, ugly toilet nicely and stops the toilet from flushing endlessly and making noises at night. I no longer have to remind visitors to level the flusher back up so that the toilet quiets down. My toilet is now functioning as it should for a typical toilet! The staff could have easily rectified this issue and stopped complicating my life if they had simply done some research and spent $9.99 like I did. I've included a photo showing the before and after. The outdated toilet was disgusting. This purchase saved me a ton of headaches, and I'm really happy with it.

I chose this product based on the average user reviews to replace the cheap plastic tank lever that broke a few days ago. The majority of the complaints about it were that the lever had a lot of play before the flush began, and although I agree that there is some play, it is tiny (1/8 to 1/4") and does not interfere with my overall flushing experience. The only reason I gave it less than four stars was because there is actually play in it. If I cared enough to, I would add a rubber washer to the assembly to stop the play, but for now it works just fine. Additionally, because my toilet tank is curved, I had to bend the metal rod that connects to the ballcock chain (sorry, I don't know the plumbing term for it in terms of sexual innuendo), but it was simple to do, it works fine, and it still doesn't take away from how much I enjoy flushing, so that's the second reason I gave it only four stars. The reason I purchased two was that the toilet in my second bathroom has the same flimsy plastic handle, so I wanted to be ready in case that one day also came. Additionally, these handles are stylish in their chic chrome garb and are reasonably priced.
