For wheelchair access, we duct taped this on the floor in the hallway entrance to a restroom several months ago. It appears quite durable and functions nicely. Though it actually doesn't have an ideal long enough ramp for someone who is weak and on their own, the size, form, and height were perfect for the small space we had to work with. Simply put, we lacked space for a longer one. Since it's challenging for the user to orient themselves squarely in front of it, we typically approach at an angle, therefore the side tapers are useful. The duct tape we used to secure it is worn out from everyday use (and looks sticky), but the wedge itself looks fine and is in good condition.

A strong wind or any other force will never be able to move it, and it looks fantastic. The box that this item arrived in had to be placed on a little dolly so that I could transport it to my mother's house in the back of my car. My husband, who uses a wheelchair, wanted a ramp to access the deck from the home so he could come outside. It works beautifully even though I have to assist him because it would not be safe for him to do it alone. To make room for the ramp, I had to take out the storm door and replace it with one of those mesh curtains. I also brought it with us to a restaurant where there was a step so we could enter.
