Best Threshold Ramps in 2020

MAGIC UNION 1" Rise Solid Rubber Power Wheelchair Threshold Ramp Doorway Review:

We duct taped this on the floor in the hallway entry to a bathroom several months ago for wheelchair access. It works well and seems very durable. The size, shape and height were just right for the tight space we had to work with, though it really doesn’t have an ideally long enough ramp for someone who’s weak and on their own. We just didn’t have room for a longer one. The tapers at the sides are helpful for approaching at an angle, which is most of the time for us because it’s difficult for the user to get aligned directly in front of it. The duct tape we used to keep it in place does wear from repeated daily trips (and looks tacky), but the wedge itself doesn’t show any signs of wear and looks fine.

EZ-ACCESS TRANSITIONS Modular Aluminum Entry Ramp, 1" Rise Review:

Let me begin by repeating the headline: THESE RAMPS ARE FANTASTIC. The pieces are easy to fit together and only one Phillips-head screwdriver is required to fasten them securely together. They are made out of STURDY aircraft-style aluminum and should last forever whether used inside or out.

Now, as to their ease of customization:

My friend, who's about to be wheelchair-bound, needed a ramp to go over a very wide 4-slot sliding door track, with a 4-5" step-down to the pool deck. A very difficult need to fill! So I ordered this 4" version AND the 5" version, hoping that one of the two would fit. I'm so glad I did!

Keeping them both, I mixed and matched individual modules, sliding them together and apart with ease, finally constructing a ramp that fit the unique requirements needed. It's light enough that my friend's diminutive wife can easily lift it in and out of the door track and place/remove it as needed.

Rarely do you find a product like this that lives up to (possibly even exceeds) all expectations. I recommend it completely.

Silver Spring 4" High Rubber 3-Channel Threshold Ramp for Wheelchairs, Mobility Scooters, and Power Chairs, with Slip-Resistant Surface – DH-UP-84 Review:

Looks GREAT and is so heavy duty it will never ever move in a strong wind or for any reason. I had to put the box this thing came in on a little dolly to move it to the back of my vehicle to take it over to mom's. The pattern on it has a kind of leafy look to it and I liked that, too. The 3" height fit perfectly against mom's little 3 inch step outside her front door. Very glad we got this!

HomCom 6' Folding Portable Suitcase Mobility Wheelchair Threshold Ramp Review:

I needed a ramp to use from our house onto our deck, so my husband (who is in a wheelchair), could get out onto the deck. I have to help him (would not be safe for him to do on his own), but it works great. I had to remove the storm door and put in one of those mesh curtains, instead, so the ramp would fit. I also took it with us when we went to a restaurant where there was a step, to get in. Folded up and put it in our van - restaurant owner was impressed and wanted information on how to get one!

EZ-ACCESS TRANSITIONS Aluminum Threshold Ramp with Adjustable Height up to 5-7/8", 36" L x 36" W Review:

I purchased this from Amazon, because it was more expensive at Home Depot, and had to be shipped to the store, was not in stock. This is Very Best 'Wheelchair' or "Walker Dependent" ramp ever!!! It is a Fairly new product, I believe..My height of rise from my front porch to my entry door is 4"..I read that the 'screw adjustable height feet' on the top near the threshold of your door, could leave marks on wood front porch..so I put a couple of the 'stick on felt rounds' (made for chair legs or front of stove 'feet' on hardwood floors to prevent damage to floors) underneath the round 'adjustable height' feet that sit up next to your door threshold. The BEST THING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT, is it ALLOWS FOR A STORM DOOR On the Outside of your Front door.!!! First outdoor ramp I have ever seen that would allow for a Storm door!! I have a Pella, metal and hard Glass 'special order' storm door with a Deadbolt Lock on the storm door, on the outside of my steel entry front door, so finding this "portable" ramp was perfect for me!! It is very heavy duty, and can be Bolted to front porch, heavy duty screws or bolts are Included..This purchase has my Life and especially bringing in groceries on my 4 wheeled "Walker" a Million Times Easier..I could not recommend any product higher for any person dependent on either a wheelchair, or a walker for mobility! A++
