I had to use my printer/fax machine immediately, so I needed a two-way telephone splitter. I recently switched Internet service providers, and when the installer packed up to leave, he apparently missed the fact that my printer/fax cable was still unplugged. I couldn't hook in my printer/fax line since he unintentionally took my 2-way splitter with him! Before this one, I purchased a phone cord that was far too long. I needed a new one because the old one was all over the place and I wanted something I could use at my desk. Since my phone is around 2-3' from my head as I sit at my computer, I purposefully looked for the shortest cord I could find.I've just owned this for a short while. It works. No issues. It's almost too short, though. Because it is coiled so tightly, it actually pulls itself away from my head when I extend it out far enough to grasp. The phone is usually tucked between my ear and shoulder because I frequently type while conversing, and I can feel the phone slipping from my grasp. With continued use, it will get better and be fine shortly.Just keep in mind that this is not a 6' phone cord. When stretched out to 6', it will be quite tense. On a practical level, you'll get around 3" out of this. It's a short chord, but it's ideal if you want to minimize clutter and your phone is on your desk.

These were bought for work. I have OCD, and after six years of use, the ones at work are entirely twisted. Since my firm doesn't believe that this is a real issue, I decided to take matters into my own hands and order the two pack. Having read conflicting reviews, I was worried about the quality. However, once I got to work and plugged in both phones, they worked wonderfully and the phone no longer coiled the card on itself and fell to the ground. It's only a phone splitter, so maybe I don't LOVE it... However, it performs precisely as I had planned and appears exactly as it does online. I currently have two phone systems linked to a single phone number. That's correct, there is one new corded phone type that includes three cordless phones and a second additional phone model that also includes a few cordless phones. To get the cordless phones to function on the extra phone, I had to utilize the splitter on the base of the second phone. Many people are unaware that they are capable of doing that. When a few of their cordless phones stop working, they don't realize they can still use the old system with the new one they purchase as long as they still have the base to plug in...to this phone splitter...actually, there are 2 phone splitters, which I like, just in case something ever goes wrong...but I don't expect it to...Even if there are only one or two cordless phones left... I have it connected to the fax machine on the back of my Canon printer, which is connected to my backup phone. I'm glad I got so much use out of such a modest investment!

These were used at the office and were quite effective at keeping the cords untangled. On three of my phones, the staff started to complain about the lines dropping off. I bought three new phones since I thought they had performed some troubleshooting. The new phones also cut out after they were set up and given these detanglers.
