This is what my daughter requested, so I purchased it as a birthday present for her. She has used it and expressed her extreme satisfaction. Give it five stars, she commanded. She completely followed the recommendations made by jazz drummer Mike Tarrani in his evaluation, which I duplicated. There isn't much better than the fact that her first recipe was "PERFECT." I'm merely changing this review to include these details: We had to use shears to remove the taped bubble wrap off the Tangine because it was so tightly packed. It arrived within the time frame promised at the time of purchase.

This pot has a fairly huge diameter and holds 4.5 quarts, but that's what makes it so fantastic. If you're cooking for a family and don't need ceramic or non-stick, this can be your go-to pan for almost everything because it is deep, stainless steel, and comes with both a glass lid and the lid for a tagine. It is really bigger than my 6.5 qt. Le Creuset dutch oven and has a larger surface area, which helps sauces decrease quickly. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it; but, if you intend to store it in a cabinet rather than leave it on the burner, be aware that it is BIG.The tagine lid does not have a venting hole, which is important to know. It doesn't seem to be a huge concern for my usage so far, but I think it's still worth mentioning. I may ask a buddy who makes pottery to build me another lid that *does*.

This tagine was a 2016 purchase for me, and it has served me well ever since. I purchased a different brand that needed a diffuser, and it simply did not function properly on my glass-top stove. However, you may easily cook with the Emile Henry on the stove or in the oven without the need for a diffuser. Although I always warm it up gently out of respect for it, it can withstand temperatures of up to 500°F. If you don't have a Dutch oven, it works exceptionally well for baking bread in addition to making fantastic tagine recipes. Overall, I genuinely adore this item and intend to keep it in my kitchen for a very long time.

This tagine is amazing! I initially panicked that I might have cracked it by placing it in the refrigerator while it was still hot (couldn't finish the dish in one sitting), but it appears to have handled the trauma just fine. (You've probably heard a lot about how delicate tagines are and how easily they can break if exposed to a sharp temperature change.) I did season it as instructed by soaking it in a bath overnight, baking it for a few hours, and then drizzling olive oil over it. I didn't know what those things were supposed to do, but I still did them. The good news is that I've been using this bad boy to cook like crazy, and every single meal has been fantastic. Moroccan food has totally hooked me now! Highly advised. Oh, and I should also note that even though the seller neglected to include the ostensibly essential heat diffuser in the initial shipment (this prevents it from breaking over a gas stove), he was quite attentive about correcting the error once I contacted him and soon sent me TWO (the extra free of charge as a courtesy). excellent clientele service. The tagine was also VERY well packaged when it arrived, making it somewhat difficult to remove.

I am aware that it is a Moroccan pot. However, the pot that wants to simmer on the stovetop can belong to anyone. While I was cooking, I liked watching the pot. There is no need for forceful chewing because the flavor permeates the meat completely. Having to restrain myself from purchasing 3, I am consequently plagued with the Buy two of everything proverb because my mum bought two of everything. I appreciate how well it was packaged. Thank you to whoever posted your broken pot; the driver handling and quality packing were excellent. Reviews help fix difficulties in this way. I give Emile Henry Tagine 10 cents.

On how to take care of the tagine or whether you need to cure it, there were no instructions. My instructor told me to treat it while I was taking a tagine class, which I did. "Using medium or high heat may cause breakage," reads the scrap of paper that did come with my tagine. In fact, I even utilized a diffuser, so it worked. I had so learned a costly lesson. I now require a new base.I only gave three stars for adaptability since I feel like the directions might have been more clear. I'm out of luck because I can't find a store that just sells bases for a tagine.I'll admit that my entrée tasted fantastic and was prepared perfectly.
