I should start by saying that I did not purchase this to serve as a suggestion box. I asked for it to serve as a bank. My daughter wanted to start a 52-week savings plan, in which you save $52 the first week, $51 the next week, etc., until the end of the year, when you would have saved $1378. She wanted something with a lock, a place to keep a record of each week's deposits, that was durable and reusable, opaque (so she couldn't see the money and be tempted! It was difficult to discover something of that type, I'll admit, until I stumbled into a number of suggestion boxes. This ended up being what I ordered because it satisfied all of her requirements. She handed me the key after I gave her the box to keep me from succumbing to temptation. The lock isn't made to be like the ones at Fort Knox, but it isn't like them either. After all, this is a suggestion box. The box is unquestionably sturdy. Although it has a wall mounting option, I don't think she will ever use it. She can drop the money in the slot at the top, but it is too small for her to shake out (again, resisting temptation!). When I inquired about the effectiveness of the box, she was eager to share the amount of money she has managed to save this year to date. Since you have to start somewhere to urge someone to save money, I was glad to surprise her with this. I hope she continues to use it for a long time.

When I'm not present to receive private documents directly, I've instructed my staff to leave them outside of my office door. It can securely hold documents and is the precise size that is stated. The bright red color makes it stand out effectively and it mounted on the wall with ease. The slit across the top is just small enough to allow documents to fit inside, but it prevents them from being pulled out without the use of a key, which must be folded outward to open it. This makes it ideal for securing documents inside once they are placed there so they cannot be removed once dropped inside. It is made of high-quality metal, and while I suppose it could be dented or tampered with if someone really wanted to get inside, doing so would be time-consuming and challenging. Since I work in a closed office, it would be rather visible. Additionally, the hue acts as a strong deterrent. Nevertheless, it is just what I wanted, so I am happy with this tiny drop box!

We bought this since I work in an office where clients might need to drop off payments after hours. It accomplishes what it is supposed to do, and we are generally pleased with it. Installation is incredibly quick and simple, and everything you need is included (assuming you have basic tools). The only drawback is that it's a little small, so if you're putting 8.5 x 10 paper in there, you'll need to empty it frequently. Another issue is that someone could reach in the top and yank anything out of the opening, but we just hung it high enough to make this difficult (above eye level). Again, we are content with it, but if you require something extremely secure, I wouldn't suggest it. This is a good option if you're searching for something that offers some privacy and is a little bit secure.

I noticed a lot of complaints in the reviews, but because I just recently purchased mine, I can state from personal experience that the majority of those issues are unfounded. I'll speak to these now.1) The first complaint—about needing to leave the key IN the lock—is one that I can kind of understand. Actually, this is not the case. I tightened the lock because it seemed a little loose. Avoid doing that. If you attempt to turn the lock fully while doing so, it will only turn a little amount, which is why the key becomes caught in the lock. Before twisting your lock to lock, be sure it is properly upright. The key can be withdrawn once the lock is completely locked. But because the lock is a latch that holds the bottom in place, it can only turn so far, so if it starts out even slightly slanted, it can prevent you from locking properly.2) Some people expressed disappointment that they did not receive the plastic paper holder that fastens to the box's top. I recently purchased a pink box with a picture on it, and not only did I receive it, but it was packaged in a protective bag to prevent damage during shipping.3. Some customers expressed concern about the bottom cracking up and objects flying out. Follow my advice in answer #1, and it won't be a problem.4) A number of customers expressed dissatisfaction with the product's quality. Actually, I'd say it's respectable. Not made of metal. It IS plastic, however the product's price and description indicate as much. When inserting them into the lock and taking them out, the keys do need to be somewhat shimmied.Overall, I'm delighted I got this product and would advise others to do the same. Despite the fact that I enjoy it and it works, I only rated it four stars because it isn't flawless. However, expect to spend at least twice as much if excellence is what you're after.

I purchased one of the clear boxes and am happy with it.The sliding cover may easily be bent to clear the lock's tongue, making this by no means a safe box. Therefore, if someone needs to store something securely, they shouldn't buy this kind of box. But I wasn't worried about it. In fact, I would like a device that kept itself secure without a lock or key.Whatever you need to present in the upper section fits well and is held securely by the tall back piece. To my taste, however, this piece flexes a little too much.

These were purchased by our business to serve as Safety Suggestion boxes. The display area and dimensions are ideal for mounting a poster outlining their intended function. The top of the box's lock is secured to the back, which is the only thing I was unaware of. Since we'll be mounting them to a wall, we'll need to hold the box's top and slide it downward to release the suggestions. The display portion of the box slides into holes on the two sides and is also the back of the box (in one piece).Overall, they offer excellent value given the cost and quality.
