Best Styluses in 2022

Last update: November 13, 2022

Are styluses necessary?

A stylus can be very helpful when you want to be precise with your drawing or writing on your device. If you are someone who likes to do a lot of art on your phone or tablet, a stylus can be a great tool to have. They can also be helpful for people who have large fingers and find it difficult to be precise with their touchscreen devices.

Are universal styluses good?

There's no doubt that styluses can be incredibly useful tools, but when it comes to universality, there are some definite drawbacks. First and foremost, not all devices are compatible with all styluses. There are countless different stylus models on the market, each with their own unique tips, sizes, and features. Even if a stylus is physically compatible with a device, there's no guarantee that it will work properly. In addition, universality also comes with a price tag. Styluses that work with multiple devices are often more expensive than those that are designed specifically for one

Can you use a stylus with gloves?

Yes. You can use a capacitive stylus with gloves. The trick is to use a material that conducts electricity on the tip of the stylus. This can be accomplished by using a conductive fabric or by wearing a glove that has conductive thread woven into it.

Can you use your finger on a stylus phone?

A stylus phone is a phone that has a small, pointed device that is used to select items on the phone's touch screen. The user presses the stylus against the touch screen to make a selection. You can use your finger on a stylus phone, but it may be more difficult to select items on the touch screen. The stylus phone is designed to be used with the stylus, and the user may have a more difficult time selecting items with their finger.

Upgraded Stylus Pen with Palm Rejection, FOJOJO Active Stylus Compatible with Apple iPad(6th Gen)/iPad Pro 11/12.9 Inch/Mini(5th Gen)/Air(3rd Gen), Type-C Rechargeable Digital Pencil Review:

I LOVE THIS PENCIL! I was seriously debating whether or not to get the pencil but changed my mind after seeing the star ratings on the Apple website. I then started looking around on Amazon to see if I could find an alternative, and after 2 days of scanning through the site, I discovered it. It resembles the Apple Pencil in appearance but costs a lot less. On my iPad Air 3, I used this stylus to take notes for class, and it worked well and I adored it.

Apple Pencil Tips (4 pack) Review:

There are none to report. They arrived in a lovely Amazon package with plenty of packing, on schedule as stated. The internal packing followed Apple standards. They seem to be the same as the tips on both the first-generation and second-generation Apple Pencils. They are likely manufactured in China, just as the cheaper "no name brand" ice cream tips on Amazon. only when quality control is adequate. I haven't needed to utilize the tips I was given in this particular order, and both of my pencils still have their original tips. In the event that something goes wrong with these replacement tips, I will update this review to reflect the situation and change the star rating.

Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) Review:

Although there doesn't seem to be much of a visual difference between the apple pencil 2.0 and the original model, it is still absolutely worth the investment! Connecting and charging are now quite simple. As an interior architect, I find that the pencil works very well with autoCAD, morpholio, and other drawing programs. It also reacts extremely well for sketching and drafting. My job is so much more pleasant now that there is a tab on the pen that moves the eraser to the front. Apple's addition of one flat edge to the pencil's general spherical form may not seem like much, but it significantly improves handling comfort. It is quite convenient that it magnetically attaches to the side of my iPad Pro because I no longer have to search for the pencil. It is in the proper place and out of the way at the same time. If you are a serious graphics designer or even just a casual user, I would highly recommend getting this product. Interacting with the pencil on the iPad is also a ton of fun!

ZUGU CASE Apple Pencil 1 & 2 Holder Sticker - Peel N Stick Elastic Stylus Pocket (Black) Review:

I anticipated that this item wouldn't adhere to my iPad cover all that firmly and that inserting the pencil would be a bit of a hassle. I'm happy to report that I was mistaken and that this has exceeded my expectations. It is attached to the rear of a TPU soft plastic cover by adhesive. I used a wet paper towel to clean the cover and then completely dried it. I then removed the tape backing from the pencil holder and set it in place so that it was on the back of the right side of the iPad cover (when holding the iPad upright). I removed the iPad cover, set it face down on a scrap piece of 2x4, and then used a J-roller (a rubber wheel with a J-shaped handle used to press veneer counter tops) to press the pencil holder into the cover after making sure the holder was firmly fastened to the iPad cover. It looks quite unlikely that it will rip off any time soon because of how strongly it has adhered to the cover. The sleeve is constructed of a stretchy pocket that resembles Spandex and a rear that is rather hard (nearly like the rim of a baseball cap). It is quite simple to insert the tip into the sleeve thanks to the backing's recessed groove. Without having to look, I can insert the pencil into the iPad's rear. The location of the sleeve really makes handling the iPad easier (kind of like a handle). Additionally, it serves as a small kickstand to slightly raise the iPad when it is flat, making it easier to operate. Of course, you can just take the pencil out of the sleeve to make it lie more flat.Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

MEKO Universal Stylus,[2 in 1 Precision Series] Disc Stylus Touch Screen Pens for All Capacitive Touch Screens Cell Phones, Tablets, Laptops Bundle with 6 Replacement Tips - (2 Pcs, Black/Black) Review:

These are exactly what you would expect from a tablet stylus that is above average. I'm so sick of having subpar options: rubber nibs that rip or decay; plastic tips that break; little conductivity; or it being impossible to distinguish between "touch" and "push." In the past year, I've bought (and returned) two separate brands of styluses that were advertised as being of higher-than-average quality (and in the same price bracket as the Meko).I was prepared to continue using my fingers to operate my devices after this, but something about that hideous, flattish, shiny orange Meko stylus caught my eye. They were Prime purchases, included two pens in total, and had extra tips and caps. I'm delighted to report that my beloved orange stylus, which I've been using for about two months, is still in good physical condition. Neither tips replacement nor repairs are required. Yes, these fashionable styluses demonstrate the current craze for "trendy" apple-like packaging. They arrive in a black, sleek box with a variety of parts that I will preserve, and THE STYLUS WORKS GREAT!!!For interacting with touch screens, a stylus can be placed on either end. (We'll call these Broad and Fine ends.) I've had no trouble using these pens with my Apple devices, both old and new, as well as the Microsoft Surface 3 tablet. You must first remove the screw-on cap before using the Fine end. (But wait, their design team member deserves a raise for this: the cap screws onto the Broad's opposite end to prevent loss while using the stylus.) Fast, easy, and secure interchangeable caps are available. The overall precision is >decent (for the Broad end) and >great, in my opinion (for the Fine end). Since I am not a graphic artist, my classification of this quality may be completely incorrect. However, for the average user, these suggestions will easily fill the desired number of pixels.CON - I'll start off by mentioning the one drawback I can think of: The replaceable tips may unscrew if the caps are screwed on too tightly at either end. simple to unfasten and refasten. This CON might also be classified as "user error"...It has a metal casing. AVOID PLASTIC. However, real metal (or a metal alloy; I didn't perform a chemical analysis on it). Which means the stylus feels fairly sturdy and has some weight to it. However, it strikes a good balance. Nobody wants their stylus to become top-heavy while playing Hearthstone in bed since once they slither under the mattress, they become very difficult to find. That concludes my review; I don't typically leave feedback, and this might be the only POSITIVE one I've ever left on Amazon. [I'm starting to regret my decision over the color. I can't get the pink metallic stylus out of my thoughts; I keep checking the item page for it.If you have any inquiries or feedback on my review or the Meko stylus pens I own, please let me know. Thanks!

Digiroot Universal Stylus,[2-in-1] Disc Stylus Pen 2018 UPDATED Touch Screen Pens for All Touch Screens Cell phones, Tablets, Laptops with 9 Replacement Tips(6 Discs, 3 Fiber Tips Included) - (Black) Review:

Wow! I'm ASTONISHED that it really does work! Despite the fact that I've had my Samsung Galaxy S4 for a while and am far overdue for an upgrade, I still value it. I enjoy using apps like Recolor, but using a finger to draw more intricate and time-consuming pictures is incredibly difficult, so for the longest time I despised not having a pen I could use on it! I'm no longer a frustrated owner of a phone now! The first somewhat "advanced" photo I was able to take with the pen is this one. I'm OVERJOYED, and I can't wait to see what other colored works I can do!This pen is much like a finger, only better and more accurate, and it works in all apps, including phone unlocking!Along with my android tablet, it also functions on my Asus laptop, which is roughly 4 years old.Along with the extra tips and dry cloth for washing the screen, the attractive case it came in was also very much appreciated. If you are still reading, the following should persuade you:NO WIRES, BLUETOOTH, SETUP, OR BATTERIES! Simply remove it and leave! Woot!5 STARS!

LIBERRWAY Stylus Pen 10 Pack of Pink Purple Black Green Silver Stylus Universal Touch Screen Capacitive Stylus for Kindle Touch ipad iPhone 6/6s 6Plus 6s Plus Samsung S5 S6 S7 Edge S8 Plus Note Review:

I recently misplaced my reliable stylus and am in serious need of another. I searched everywhere for pens and reviews before deciding on Liberrway. I was looking for something that would fit in the case, something that wasn't too lengthy or thick. I like to dress simply because I always have my phone with me. This satisfied the need; it has a slightly larger diameter but still fits; I simply clipped it to the outside rather than the inside of the casing. They were ordered on Saturday and arrived on Tuesday. I immediately tried one after I opened them. Works perfectly. With it, there is no need to change pressure to obtain the ideal position. It was seamless. I experimented with text, opening and closing, and swiping. Excellent. (I then tested each one to be certain. And they're all effective.) I'm overjoyed with these. I don't know how long they will last because I just got them, but they seem pretty durable.

Stylus Pens for Touch Screens, Fine Point Stylist Pen Pencil Compatible with iPhone iPad and Other Tablet Review:

The stylus has been in use by me for a week. The micro-USB charging cord, an additional spherical stylus tip, and a two-finger glove are all included in the pen's attractive packaging. The glove helps minimize accidental touches when drawing or touching up a photo. very responsive with glass LCD devices on mobile and laptop computers. I used the built-in iPhone Notes app to assess its accuracy. To acquire the desired results, you had to become used to where to set the stylus point. It is ideal for my needs. With apps like Pocket, I really pushed it through a variety of brushes, pens, and pencils. I enjoy the weight. Not too light nor too heavy. The blue led around the power button indicates when the fine point end is active when it is in use. To ensure that I could still use the pen if I forgot to charge the stylus, I swapped the spherical charging cap cover for the stylus. Overall, it was a wise purchase. Red indicates that the battery is charging, and green indicates that the battery is fully charged.Do you need to wear gloves for your job? Never take off your gloves to use your phone, tablet, or other mobile device again with the help of an active stylus.

homEdge Stylus Pen Set of 20 Pack, Universal Capacitive Touch Screen Stylus Compatible with iPad, iPhone, Samsung, Kindle Touch, Compatible with All Device with Capacitive Touch Screen – 10 Color Review:

These stylii arrived approximately a week after I ordered them. They look sturdy and are extremely good. They feel good on the screen of my tablet, in my opinion. They have flexible rubber tips and metal shafts in vibrant colors. My husband, my 10-year-old grandson, and I can all comfortably hold them. Since they are so inexpensive, it only made sense to buy enough for the entire family. I'll utilize this merchant once more.
