Although I find it to be a good basis, I definitely feel the need to bolster the taste with fish sauce, typically a splash of rice vinegar, and occasionally lime or sriracha (basically Pad Thai flavorings). This sauce has a slight tanginess and spice (warm, but not hot heat level). The consistency is a little runnier than ketchup.While I've felt the need to flavor it to make it taste more like pad thai from a restaurant, I also enjoy it on rice noodles straight from the bottle.I had used it for flavour in a fiery peanut noodle bowl in addition to Pad thai. I simply needed to use up some ingredients I had in my fridge, which are easily replicable. I already had some cooked rice noodles, scallions/green onions, chicken, and very firm tofu on hand. I used coconut oil to crisp up the tofu (added salt, cracked black pepper, and turmeric). After that, put them on a dish. Then I threw the leftover rice noodles—which were already cooked—into the mildly salted and still-oily pan. I rubbed those against things to get flavor. Add some chopped green onion or scallion. Add some chicken that has previously been cooked. I mixed up some fish sauce, rice vinegar with seasoning, sriracha, and then a generous amount of this Pad Thai sauce. I then added about half of a can of coconut milk to the pan after opening the can. a liberal amount of peanut powder was added. After combining everything, platter it. I topped it with the slices of tofu (reminded me of egg in a Pad Thai dish).Therefore, I believe I will continue hunting for a premade Pad Thai sauce with the flavor profile I like. I might just have to keep coming up with my own if it doesn't happen. Having said that, this sauce isn't horrible; it's just not quite what I'm searching for. Nevertheless, it can be used in other meals.
