A stethoscope is a medical tool used to listen to the internal sounds of the body, including the heart, lungs and intestines. It can also be used to measure blood pressure. While a stethoscope can be used on any part of the body, it is not typically used on the eyes.
An old stethoscope can be used, but it may not be as effective as a newer model. The tubing on an old stethoscope may be hard and brittle, making it difficult to hear faint sounds. The earpieces may also be less comfortable than on a newer model. If you have an old stethoscope, it is best to get a new one.
A stethoscope is an important tool for a medical professional. It is used to listen to heart, lung, and other body sounds. A good stethoscope can help a medical professional make a diagnosis. There are many different types and brands of stethoscopes on the market. Some are very expensive and some are less expensive. But, do expensive stethoscopes make a difference? There is no definitive answer to this question. Some people say that the more expensive stethoscopes are better because they have more features and are more durable. Other people
If you are unsure if your Littmann stethoscope is real, there are a few things you can check for. First, look for the Littmann name and logo on the stethoscope. Second, check the packaging for a hologram sticker with a 20-digit validation code. Finally, visit the Littmann website and enter the validation code to confirm the stethoscope's authenticity. If you have any further questions, you can contact Littmann customer service.

This is without a doubt my favorite stethoscope of all time. As a new nurse, I used a Littmann Classic II stethoscope, which I adored. Sadly, despite having my name etched on it, it vanished and was never seen again. I bought the Littmann Lightweight II S.E. as a replacement, but I found it to be a dud. Although I know some folks adore it, perhaps the performance of my lost Classic II has spoiled me.After giving the Lightweight a shot, I made the decision to invest the money on a Classic II once more, but they were hard to come by (perhaps because it's being phased out??) and they weren't offered in the vibrant color I wanted. I got this stethoscope based on the advice of a doctor I work with, and WOW! The sonic sensitivity of the Classic III truly astounds me. I receive the most crystal-clear heart, lung, and gut sounds without any of the Lightweight S.E.'s crap regarding light vs. firm pressure. No matter how much background noise there is, auscultation is never a problem for me. As a test, I could still clearly hear my daughter's heart and lungs through her heavy robe, which is obviously not how I would listen to a patient. To make it easier for me to see, I got the bright yellow, and so far there have been no color transfer concerns or other problems.

I've been replacing my pricey Adscope dual head with the Fricare dual head stethoscope and have been pleasantly impressed by its quality. I needed a replacement quickly for my costly scope because I had lost it while working as a hospital RN. The bell of this scope is a good weight (not light), and the tubing is not overly stiff. The scope is well-made. Don't be fooled by the low price—you can hear high and low notes by twisting the diaphragm, applying light or heavy pressure, or clicking it into bell mode. It meets all of my requirements as a medical surgical nurse. I need to hear BP, lung sounds, and heart tones well, and I detest cheap scopes that are either light and rigid or deaf. I like this Fricare stethoscope very much. Additionally, it has a warranty and incredibly comfy earpieces. highly suggest to other nurses.

This year, my 6-year-old son decided to dress up as a doctor for Halloween, so I gave him a scrub and coat outfit and added this. Although it requires some easy assembly when it is delivered and you do get what you paid for, it completes the "medical" look for any type of dress-up and is reasonably priced. I heartily endorse this item for use as a costume accessory. Just be aware that it won't perform as a true stethoscope does.

Superior to the off-brand in terms of sound. I was given an off-brand by a cousin, and Littmann is clearly the superior product. With this stethoscope, you can hear much better and it is quite lightweight. Not terrible at all considering the cost. Worth every penny of the cost. I heartily endorse it!Stethoscope, 3M Littmann Lightweight II S.E., 28-inch, blue ceiling tube, 2454

Even if it's uncomfortable, it actually works. Even when the scope is properly "tuned," I've read reviews complaining about poor quality, so perhaps this will help: Since I have very small ear canals and had a lot of trouble achieving the appropriate location, I actually pulled out the ear buds and then put them back in backward (such that the taper went thinner at the end and not at the base). Unless you likewise have small ear openings and there is no chance of the ear pieces going in too deeply or getting trapped, I cannot endorse this approach. The feedback was amazing after I was able to correctly direct the music into my ears. The stethoscope I used—which I had never used before—performed just as I had anticipated (loud and clear).Pros: After I adjusted the earbuds, it works excellently.- Has a loud and clear voiceCons: Can only wear for a minute or two before it becomes too painful; really unpleasant and way too tight, even after stretching out the metal.

I was pleasantly surprised that I could hear anything at all for under $20. I'm fine with it even though it's not quite as loud or clear as a Littman. could still hear the sounds of breathing. The beauty is in the black on black. It is incredibly light. I like wearing this one around my neck than a Littman in that regard. I particularly appreciate that it includes several sized ear pieces and a small nameplate plate.I recommend purchasing a Littman for students or recent graduates so they can learn well. This was bought to serve as my "cheap backup stethoscope" in case my fancier one gets damaged. This will work if you're skilled and can tell your lung sounds apart. I can't complain, considering what I paid for it!

Even if it's uncomfortable, it actually works. I initially believed it to be terribly flawed but later understood it had a lot to do with where the ear holes were placed; if they are in any way blocked (not facing your ear canal), you can hardly hear anything. A stethoscope is an important tool for any medical professional, so it is important to know how long it should last. Depending on the type of stethoscope, it can last anywhere from a few years to a lifetime. The most important factor in determining the lifespan of a stethoscope is the quality of the materials. Cheaper stethoscopes are made with lower quality materials that are more likely to break down over time. More expensive stethoscopes are made with higher quality materials that will last longer. If you take care of your stethoscope and avoid dropping it
The Littmann Classic III Stethoscope has a retail price of around $120. Some medical supply stores may sell it for less. The Littmann Cardiology IV Stethoscope has a retail price of around $200.
