Vortex Optics Defender Riflescope Flip Caps Review:

I got this pair from Amazon and am ecstatic with how well they fit and are made. Not like the poor, flimsy caps I've purchased from others who won't be named here. These coverings securely snap closed! The plastic eyepiece Optical lens cover, which clicks into the interior of the Optical lens cover, opens to the vertical position (Vortex offers DOPE DISK). You can open it to the vertical position because it will remain there. Additionally, you can fold it over the scope. The scope has a fold-over objective cover. Please check out the photographs I shared. In the same order, I also purchased the MK Machining Vortex Throw Lever. Machining MK VTX Vortex Viper Gen I A Throw Switch (Fits same as Vortex SV-2 Lever) Although this lever claims to be for a Vortex Viper Gen I, I learned about it via Vortex's website. On their website, someone else asked if they produced a throw lever for the Crossfire II, and they responded. This one really does work as they predicted it would! Just $19.99 on Amazon as well. 3D By MK Machining, printing. I am overjoyed with the new arrangement and am glad to assign the bikini scope covers to other duties.

Vortex Optics Sure Fit Riflescope Covers Review:

The cover comfortably fits my Vortex Viper PST 6 X 16 X 50 and is well-made. For my somewhat longer than 12" scope, Vortex suggests the NSC-1. I tried the NSC-1, and while it matched the scope reasonably well, I thought it was a little too spread out for my tastes. It performed a good job of covering the scope, as well as the focus knob and adjusting turrets. However, the larger NSC-2 that I got is unquestionably a superior fit for my scope. It effectively covers the entire scope, including the sides, and does so with much less stretching. One drawback is that the NSC-2's lid has the Vortex emblem painted on it in some form of white paint. Since the paint doesn't expand, it should come as no surprise that when the cover was placed over the scope, the painted logo occasionally chipped and cracked. The flaking is a small annoyance, but nonetheless something to consider when deciding whether to purchase the NSC-2. The NSC-1 that I initially ordered for my scope also has the Vortex logo, but it looks to be dyed into the neoprene, rather than sprayed to the surface as a "paint." I'm hoping Vortex will fix the problem.

Butler Creek 21920 Multiflex Flip-Open Scope Cover Eyepiece, 19-20 Review:

This is an honest review of the product, which I bought from Amazon for the full price:I was seeking for a replacement cover for my hunting rifle that was inexpensive and easy to open. I've heard for years that Butler Creek covers are the only option, and I finally agree! The covers that some optics come with are blatantly useless, thus I will never again accept them. These covers open quite quickly and appear to be well-built. The glass won't be protected from scratches, but they won't keep the water out. It's crucial that you acquire the correct size, so be sure to do that! I will update this evaluation if any problems arise with mine during the hunting season or in the future.Buy Butler Creek if you want the greatest optical protection available!

DOWN UNDER OUTDOORS Silicone Rubber Rifle Scope Binocular Cover, Sunshade, Rain Cap, Eye Piece, Objective Lens, Spotting Optics, Tactical Flip Up Protector, 40mm 44mm 50mm 56mm 69mm, Sold Individually Review:

These were purchased using my wife's Amazon account. For a Leupold VX3 3.5-10 X 40mm and a Meopta 3.5-10 X 44mm, I bought two pairs of both small (eyepiece) and medium (objective). They had excellent, snug fit with both riflescopes. They seem to be a high quality product for the money and very well made. The idea that it will be closed when I need to make a quick shot when hunting is why I, too, don't like scope coverings. I've gone without lens covers for all these years, simply wiping the dust or moisture off my scope lens with the tail of my shirt. They have performed well as sun shades and have kept some dust off while I'm field testing them right now in the heat and dust with no rain. One is on a 375 Ultra Mag rifle that has a very strong recoil, and the extra material helps prevent having scope eye, as stated in the advertisement. I've so far used them in California on hunts for deer, elk, and wild pigs. Though I look forward to testing them in a slick setting, I have no reason to think they won't function well in the rain. Overall, I believe they are an excellent investment and a terrific accessory to have on a hunting rifle for bad weather. Despite the fact that you won't lose much money even if you're unhappy, I still like them! I believe both the product and the idea are fantastic! Thanks, Robert H.

Butler Creek Flip-Open Eyepiece Scope Cover, Size 11 (1.55-Inch, 39.4mm) Review:

These are excellent. They are the ideal response to a straightforward issue. Simply put, the chart on the Butler Creek website is out of date and you should not rely on it. For some scopes, it might be accurate, but for my Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, it was wildly off. Sizes 11 and 28 were listed, but neither one was even close to being accurate—off by a quarter size." Just do a little research to find out which ones truly fit your scope before you buy them. To learn which sizes are ideal for your scope, check out the Amazon question and answer section.

Butler Creek Flip-Open Eyepiece Scope Cover, Size 16 (1.66-Inch, 42.2mm) Review:

These, however, are the best and of excellent quality. People who claim they don't fit or are the wrong size should be ignored. The bottom line is that just because your scope has a 50 mil objective lens, that doesn't imply you should order a 50! The real diameters of the ocular and objective (or bell) are different from the diameter of the lens. The "true diameter" of your scope lens O.D. should be measured. then before placing a purchase, measure the appropriate size on the Butler Creek website. A word of caution: DO NOT GO BELOW THE O.D. (Outside Diameter) OF YOUR OBJECTIVE OR OCULAR SIZE. Make sure the lens is barely over the size; it will fit snugly, I assure you. They will function superbly and fit perfectly. I guarantee that even the best stock scope covers will satisfy you (this goes for Leupolds and NighForces as well).

Butler Creek 19000 Bikini Rifle Scope Cover Review:

Initially, I was worried that these might not shield lenses from any bumps, but the material is thick and, when tightly wrapped around the objectives, actually creates a thick "cap" across the lens. Obviously, this offers less protection than a plastic cap, but it is still significant, especially the more the lens protrudes from the rim. This cap's ability to bubble out of trapped air is a good feature. That offers considerably greater security.I rated its durability at four stars. I've just had them for a month, so it hasn't held up very long, but the build appears robust; the rubber is thick and sturdy. It fits snugly in my 12-inch scopes, and 40mm are undoubtedly more difficult to fit than 32. Although not so tight that I fear tearing, it's nonetheless challenging to manage and stretch. Anything over 40 is too old for me to try. These are tricky to install, therefore I wouldn't suggest using them in an outside field on a rainy day where they might need to be quickly taken off and put back on multiple times. But at that price, they're ideal for use at the range and for storage.

Vortex Optics Binocular Caps Review:

I purchased these to replace the almost useless objective lens caps that come with the otherwise superb Nikon ProStaff 7S 10x30 binoculars based on other reviews. The Nikon covers are supposed to be attached to the neck strap, however if you let your glasses dangle from the strap, they tend to pull away from the objective lenses. Additionally, the neck strap has an open hole where the Nikon covers attach, making it possible for them to fall out and become lost. The Nikon covers attach only loosely and include tabs that snag on bags and clothing, making them easy to remove even if you don't attach them to the strap. The Vortex lens covers are far superior and really function. Rubber mounting rings should not come off because of their tight fit. To cover the objective lenses, the lenscaps themselves must be gently stretched. Once you become used to stretching them on and pushing them all the way down, they won't come off until you tell them to. They still come off with a flick of the tab quite easy. If they eventually stretch out and become loose, I'll update this review, but that hasn't happened yet. By the way, the binoculars' one-piece Nikon eyepiece cover is a little awkward-looking but functional. It can be threaded through the neck strap, preventing loss and allowing for easy removal of the eyepieces as necessary. Therefore, there is no need to hunt for replacement eyepiece covers if you purchase the Nikon ProStaff.

Butler Creek Multiflex 21314 13-14 Eyepiece Clam Review:

I leave the sun shade on my Burris Eliminator, which lengthens the scope considerably and causes the elastic cords holding the scope caps together to separate from one another. Butler Creek flip up hats, however, are considerably nicer. The problem is that as you move forward from the eye piece, the body of the scope tapers out to be broader quickly. But this scope cap stretches a little and fits it just right. What I required for this scope.-edit-The cover eventually grew a little looser over time due to the taper of the scope, stretching it out to the point where it would not stay on by itself. It was mended with some black duct tape. Still a lot better than the scope's included caps.

Butler Creek Blizzard Caps Review:

For my Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 BDC, the Butler Creek sizing guide suggested a size 4 optical cap and a size 7 objective cap.Caps arrived quickly with Amazon Prime after I ordered in accordance with the company's advice. I immediately doubted the size of both hats because they were so challenging to put on. I was nearly concerned that I would break the scope. Even so, the objective cap is clearly strained, and I was unable to rotate the eyepiece focal adjustment because the eyepiece cap wouldn't remain closed and wanted to slip off.I came to the conclusion that while the eyepiece cap not staying closed isn't okay, the objective cap is alright. My eyepiece was a size 5 when I used the paper chart that was printed on the package. Butler Creek was the place Amazon recommended I go to return it and get a new size. On the phone, Butler Creek wasn't very helpful. I returned to Amazon, and they gave me a refund without asking me to pay return shipping. On the same day, during my lunch break, I visited Sportsman's Warehouse and purchased the size 5. It is a perfect fit. I must admit that I believe the size 8 would also fit the Objective more comfortably.I adore the scope caps overall now that they are the appropriate size and stay closed. I definitely suggest them!
