K2 Skate Youth Marlee Inline Skates, Magenta Review:

Kid sizes 11 to adult sizes 2 and adult sizes 4 to adult sizes 8 are the two size categories. We bought the size 4-8 because my daughter usually wears an adult size 6. We ordered a size 7 skate; although it seems to fit a touch snugly, she adores them. Find the other K2 kids adjustable skates by visiting the K2 store (link at the top of the page). You can find Marlee skates in many colors and with alternative features (pro vs standard). The wheel bearing rating is poorly communicated on both the K2 website and the Amazon description, which is my only complaint. The bearings on the Marlee are appropriate for a beginner skate. Despite being slow, they spin sufficiently and do not lock up. The skate itself, though, is incredibly comfy and high-quality. Reviews suggest that women with smaller feet frequently order the Marlee. They are excellent.

FireStar Youth Girl's Roller Skate Review:

My kid usually wears a size 13.5 shoe, but we bought a size 13 and it fits her well without a lot of room. Although this is how a sports shoe should fit, as it is for a growing child, it also means that these shoes won't last more than a year. The cost of these skates is very reasonable as a result. It's a better option than renting skates to improve your skating without going over budget. The wheels may be adjusted, although it arrived fairly tight; we ultimately needed to use a tool to free it. The shoe laces can be swiftly torn by the velcro strap on top of the boot. I've learned from experience that you should tie the shoelaces after you've secured the velcro strap. Overall, really attractive and useful skates.

Riedell Skates - Dart - Quad Roller Speed Skates Review:

I purchased the purple shoes in a men's size 6. (ladies 7). Due to padding and other factors that cause them to run small, I have always ordered my skates in a size larger than usual. These skates fit perfectly as they are right now. I'm a women's 6 1/2. I probably would have been OK if I had ordered a size smaller, but I want a little bit of room for my foot.Since purple is my favorite color, I simply had to get these skates. (Especially given the cost!) Please don't let the bright colors deter you since they are even cuter in person. I skate for fun in a hardwood and carpeted arena, so I wouldn't say that I'm particularly rough on skates. After a few laps around the rink, they were less slippery. I was then fine. For roller derby skaters, the cushioned nature of the boot may be problematic.I had to put them on as soon as I took them out of the box. They were just too cute. However, my left boot has a small fault where the white pad meets the rear of the shoe: the cushion was folded, which created a bump that rubbed against the back of my chilies. But after a few hours of skating, it didn't appear to bother me, so I'll just ignore it and wear thicker socks if it ever becomes a problem. You're in for a treat with them if you're used to renting: the rolling away is smooth! If you buy them for a child, make sure to let them practice rolling on carpet if they aren't used to the sensation of new wheels. They could find it a touch too smooth. (Even though I'm a relatively seasoned jam skater, it was slick for me.)

Riedell Skates - Dart Ombré - Quad Roller Speed Skate Review:

I used to roller skate when I was younger, so when I chose to become more active as I got older, I tried the advise of the experts that the best way to stick with a fitness program is to engage in things you enjoy. In the 1980s, I was a rink rat. I eventually purchased a set of rollerblades, but my old quad skates did not make it over the years. Actually, they were fine, but after having two children, my feet never again fit properly. How could they have after so long? I therefore conducted extensive research before choosing this as an alternative. Although I am aware that this is not the creative boot I used to wear growing up, I decided to give it a try and was drawn in by the vibrant colors. Although I adore it, I'm still getting used to it. I am aware that I can raise or lower the brake as needed. The "shoe" portion is just a tiny bit too big, but it fits very well and I didn't want to size down. possibly put on thicker socks. The velcro closure makes up for the fact that I can't quite tighten the laces as tight as I would want. Since there is no ankle support, I believe my back calf muscles had to work much harder to keep me upright and moving. I've used them twice, and after a few laps, I begin to feel more confident. I struggle to say if they are too smooth or not smooth enough. On the one hand, when I first start out, I feel like the track is quite slick, but after a few laps, when I try to accelerate, I feel like I can't quite go any faster. I'm not sure if this is due to some sort of a safety mechanism operating in the background to keep me safe, or if I've reached my top speed on the wheels. Again, I'm not explaining this very well, but I have a hunch that using some tools to tweak would work just fine. Regardless of my age, I'm enjoying myself again!

Riedell Skates - R3 - Quad Roller Skate for Indoor / Outdoor Review:

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this video.Download Flash Player. The Riedell R3 that I ordered arrived on time and promptly. The wheels were the one aspect of the skates that I did not enjoy. Sonar Caymans in stock form were slick on a wooden floor. I bought some Crazy Whites, as seen in the picture, and they are fantastic. My feet feel wonderful and comfortable in the boot contour. They are "LOVED" by me! View the video to see this 54-year-old speed skater's progress in just two months.

Pacer Black Mach-5 GTX500 Quad Speed Roller Skates w/ 2 Pair of Laces (Gray & Black) Review:

Excellent comfort. I'm rating these as the entry-level skates that they are. They are obviously inferior to more expensive leather skates, and I assume that no one interested in those skates is even reading at this page. For the rest of us, they are therefore cosy, roll, and are made of synthetic material rather than leather. All of the adjustment nuts are tightened when they are delivered (and for several wheels I had to use a ratchet wrench to loosen them). So, depending on your skating abilities, prepare to start loosening the wheel nuts nearly immediately and the truck nuts a little later.

Chicago Bullet Men's Speed Roller Skate - Black Review:

This summer, my 9-year-old son and his pals started skating. Because the skating rink featured air conditioning, it was the ideal thing to do on a rainy day or in the sweltering heat. He requested to buy a pair of skates after making multiple journeys home so he wouldn't have to rent them from the rink. When I saw the price of speed skates, my jaw dropped. There was no way I was buying my nine-year-old a pair of $300 speed skates, especially considering that he doesn't use them frequently and that his foot is growing like a weed and needs new shoes every three months. So I went to my go-to Amazon site and started reading reviews for the best skates that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and found these. We finally decided to order him a size 5 even though He stated the skates were excellent, but they are a little big on his feet right now. I'm okay with that, though, so he can grow into them. We got the skate superfast and went him skating that night.

Pacer GTX-500 Quad Roller Skates Review:

Therefore, I've resumed roller skating after a 20-year hiatus now that I'm a mother. It turns out that I still enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger and the rental skates were torturous. We had been going every week, so I made the tough decision to get my own skates. I was apprehensive to spend more than $150 on skates because I wasn't sure how long my child would accompany me. I deliberated between these and the Ridell Dart skates, but in the end I chose these since the wheels provided more feedback than the Darts' original wheels did. I didn't want to have to buy new skates immediately afterwards and spend extra money on them.I loved my skates as soon as I opened the box. I ordered a men's size 6 even though my women's shoe size is 7.5 (though I occasionally wear an 8 in some shapes). They actually have a little bit of room to spare and fit me well. I was in paradise as soon as I put them on since they were so comfortable and allowed me to immediately skate backwards (which I could NOT do with the rental skates). Still, I'm hopeful that it will break in because the area around the ankle is a little stiff and has worn my skin a little.Overall, these skates are excellent value. These are an excellent option if you want to stop using rental skates without spending a fortune. I'm considering taking up outside skating, so I'll be investing in nicer skates that have replacement toe stops and outdoor wheels. But these are unquestionably a hit for the rink!I reduced my rating from five stars to four due to the following shortcomings:-The "rainbow" laces I received did not resemble the photo at all and are most likely to be thrown away. I placed an order for new laces because the toe stop is fixed and there is only a small variety of replacements available for various types of skating. The wheels needed to be slightly loosened because they were a bit stiff to roll out of the box around the ankle.I give these skates 4 stars since they:-are of excellent quality for the money-look decent (no more gargantuan logo on the cross strap!) -fit me well, even though I'm a half-size shoe-skate safely
