I absolutely adore this stuff, and I believe it flows into multistrand wire somewhat better than Kester solder does. You just cannot beat this solder if R/C is your hobby. It flows into wire so flawlessly that you won't have small tips on your solder connections from not having enough flux in the solder, and you will easily produce brilliant, shining joints. I wish they produced 1lb spools of it because I would always choose it over Kester even if the price were the same.

For my son's school project, I had to assemble a Raspberry Pi project using numerous distinct parts and micro soldering. Since I was a child and assembled brass tube slot car chassis, I haven't soldered anything. When I went to my neighborhood electronics store, they asked almost $50 for a roll of solder made from resin. This was on Amazon Prime, and it was a complete success. Perfect precise solders are used at every spot without the flux flowing. All I can say is that it performed well and allowed me to save money on what was essentially the same product.

Solder paste is what it is. I've used it to create hundreds of solder joints and haven't encountered any of the issues that have been noted with other solder pastes. 25 OCT 2017 UPDATE:Although the acid flux bottle states that aluminum shouldn't be used with it (I'm not sure why), it *does* work on aluminum! My drill battery housing just had some metal tabs welded to it, and it worked well! No amount of heat or excellent rosin-core solder would be able to make it work without the acid flux. But as soon as I applied some acid flux to a spotless surface, it adhered right away!RECOMMENDED: Use an old solder tip that you don't care about ruining (as always with this stuff because acid flux is corrosive), drop the acid flux on the surface to bond *first*, get solder on your iron (regular rosin-core electronics solder is fine, but acid-core should work too), and touch a hot iron to the aluminum surface. Boom! The solder on the iron immediately adheres to the aluminum surface as a result of the heat causing the acid flux to somewhat chew into the surface. When finished, gently wash the pieces to remove any remaining acid flux and prevent further corrosion of your connections. Although I'm sure it's fine if you wash the excess flux off later, I will definitely use this flux for that electrical application if I ever need to solder a spring-steel type battery adapter, battery-holder spring, or any other similar crimped steel connection.
