eCOTRITION Hamster, Gerbil, Rat & Mouse Cheese Chews Review:

Due to their high price when compared to other wood chews and the fact that my pet mouse doesn't particularly enjoy the cheese-flavored yogurt drops made by this company, I used to buy these for my Syrian hamster (RIP) and kind of put off obtaining them for her. I'm glad I finally made the decision to at least give it a shot. She devoured all of these chews! I assumed these wouldn't be a success because she didn't like the cheese yogurt drops, but the fact that they are constructed of wood certainly alters their flavor. Anyhow, if you own a hamster or mouse, I recommend trying these. I finally gave in and got this company's even more pricey carrot wood chew for one of my guinea pigs, and he absolutely enjoyed it! These items cost more money, but they are unquestionably high-quality chews.

Vitakraft Triple Baked Crunch Sticks Hamster Treat Review:

For hamsters, this is the equivalent of cat treats. The little fellow ate this as quickly as he could. He didn't care about any other regular meal while there was still some of this, likely to the detriment of his health. To ensure that none of the others (there are none) would find it, he even hid it within his pouch. He declares that this is the best supper he has ever had.

eCOTRITION Yogies for Hamsters/Gerbils/Rats, 3.5-Ounce Review:

Do not use these snacks as rewards during training. The best way to think of these is as a rat-sized slice of cheesecake. Despite being almost totally sugar and fat, they are delightful. The bag's advised usage instructions, which advise feeding just 1-2 treats each day, are essentially accurate. If they become warm during delivery, these sweets do have a tendency to cling together. Sadly, it's become more and more difficult to find them in neighborhood pet stores. I simply beat them against a solid surface until they separate.Use your pet's usual food as a training reward, according to this advice. Give them their lab blocks as a reward and let them run them into their cage for later rather than filling their food dish for them. They grasp the idea fairly fast because rats naturally cache and conceal food. Just make sure they have adequate food on hand and, if necessary, add more after the training session. Naturally, rats should still consume a variety of meals, so at other times, give them little pieces of fresh fruit or vegetables.

Ware Manufacturing Rice Pops Small Animal Chew Treat - Small Review:

These are favorites of both my boxer/lab mix dog and my guinea pig. I wedged them between her cage bars and snack bars so she would find them as surprises. Although I can obtain them on here when I buy other pet supplies, the pricing isn't significantly cheaper than at my neighborhood pet store. It's a cheap way to add some interest to her life.

Kaytee Timothy Biscuits Baked Treat -- Apple 4 oz Review:

My 1-year-old male chinchilla absolutely adores these treats, but my 11-year-old female chinchilla is not a fan. While my male chinchilla is quite picky (he only likes two other sorts of treats) and normally very simple to please, he truly enjoys these. My female chinchilla, on the other hand, consumes small portions of them at a time throughout the night I give her. Everywhere he goes, he really enjoys carrying them and munching on them. I've previously purchased this particular brand of treat from neighborhood pet stores, but because I regularly shop on Amazon, I figured I'd give it a shot. They were excellent, especially considering the Amazon add-on pricing. Although the treats won't last that long for my pets, they did have more crumbs and a few broken ones in the packet than the ones I had previously purchased from my neighborhood pet stores. However, you can't beat the price, and the expiration date was still good for over a year. UPDATE: About a month after making my initial purchase, I acquired another one of them. My chinchillas prefer the apple-flavored version of these over the carrot-flavored ones I purchased from my neighborhood PetSmart. I anticipate purchasing these on Amazon more frequently as a result.

Vitakraft Slims Carrot Rabbit Treats Review:

My sister's rabbit adores them; she's used them to train him as a recall, so she only needs to crinkle the bag to get him to run into the room and wait for one if she wants him to return to his cage. He is content with them and receives half a reward at a time. We haven't had many problems with him wanting to chew on things otherwise because they are crunchy/hard enough to satisfy his demand for gnawing on things and maintain the health of his teeth. Since he only consumes one daily, even though they are not the healthiest foods, they are generally okay. One minor drawback is that they leave little orange crumbs all over the carpet if your rabbit eats them on the floor, much like Cheetos (which is one of the reasons he's been taught to eat them *in* his cage).

Kaytee Fiesta Awesome Country Harvest Treat Blends for Small Animals, 7-Ounce Review:

I give a pinchful of these goodies to our adorable chipmunk, who we had rescued and helped get well but who still has a slight mobility handicap.Advice on keeping chipmunks as pets: Avoid thinking about keeping a chipmunk as a pet because they are more untamed than humans and are unlikely to become completely used to us. Since we have had this adorable chipmunk for at least six months, she has grown somewhat acclimated to our presence because we frequently pass by the area where it lives. However, there are still occasions when we shock her, in which case she will quickly flee to the opposite side of the house. Although it's kind of hilarious, we don't intend to terrify her. It doesn't always happen.I also tried occasionally to pet her fur for a brief period of time so she could get acclimated to it. I assumed she did because I would occasionally pet her for a brief period of time. But I never picked her up. But I made a mistake recently when I tried to pet her while she was eating. She quickly jumped on my finger and bit into it with both sets of teeth, creating what looked like a puncture. Ouch! I won't hold the chipmunk responsible, but I did learn my lesson about her and food. Of course, I promptly cleaned my finger (which was gushing blood!) with soap and water, rinsed it with hydrogen peroxide, and then, as the blood continued to pour out, I tightly bandaged it. I almost went to the clinic, but I decided to wait a day or two. I reasoned that the chipmunk has lived in a cleaner environment for many months and had less germs than she would have outside (of course I clean out her rags in her home once a week). Amazingly, my finger didn't hurt the next day, and a few days after, it was fully healed. To prevent contamination, I apply Neosporin to it once or twice daily and cover it with a bandage. This adorable chipmunk will continue to receive care from us because her ailments prevent her from surviving in the wild at this time.Just so you know, the chipmunk is not kept in a wire cage. Those, in my opinion, are hard on young feet and can become filthy when different paper fillers are used. I have a bigger plastic storage container with no lid instead (of course). She can exercise much more effectively and cover more ground on one level where she can run.She also enjoys other foods, primarily plain, raw almonds. I also give her the following items, but not all at once: cashew, walnut, pistachio, Kaytee Fiesta Country Harvest Treat, Wild Harvest Veggie Puffers vegetable puffs, an apple core that I finished eating, a piece of fresh fruit when we happen to eat some, natural dried fruit chips, and the occasional acorn I find outside. At one point, I also purchased some mealworms from a pet store and placed them in her house. That made me feel icky. She however ate them. After that, I never bought them again.I also removed a few smaller branches from our Cleveland Select ornamental pear tree, which she adores, that had small pears on them. And my Dogwood tree's slender branches, which have crimson berries (I saw other chipmunks collect those red berries). She also enjoys weeds like dandelions.I frequently replace the shallow plastic pitcher holding her water. To give her the impression that she is outside and to make it easier for her to reach the water container's top, I encircled the container with some flatter rocks.

Kaytee Forti Diet Pro Health Guinea Pig Food Review:

Although it is not a particularly "special" food, my guinea pig appears to enjoy it a lot. She squeaks her little "feed me" noises whenever she can glimpse the bottom of her bowl. Since she is approaching 7 years old and I continue to feed her Timothy hay separately, I believe this to be an excellent choice for her.As I do with any pet food, I do store this food in the freezer. We no longer take any chances and simply keep all of the pet food frozen after experiencing a problem with moths that originated from hamster food. At least keeping most of it frozen seems to have reduced the moth problem we had before. We decant the food into jars so that it has time to defrost and so we don't have to constantly go to the freezer to feed the pets.

Ware Manufacturing Large Rice Pops Small Animal Treats Review:

I have many of mice and rats. These are what I liken to dog popcorn. They are the most beloved by my ASF, and the treat lasts for more than five seconds. The reward, whether it is huge or small, will be picked up by larger rodents, who will continue to munch on it until it is gone.I noticed that the colors that vanish the quickest are all the same, so they must all have the same flavor, aroma, and appearance. I didn't sample them to find out. I'm not a really bold reviewer. Here is what the animals happily ate."Elegant ratRagged rata bald ratRat ASFElegant miceDegusHamstersMy family, friends, and coworkers regularly tease me and refer to me as the "Rat soothsayer I work as a small-scale breeder for a neighborhood, family-run, independent pet shop. I always have a little of everything, but bread is one item that is really popular. Naturally, treats must be tasty and reasonably priced. These fit both requirements. There is NO waste, and I may include them at the add-on fee in every order I place for any reason. I hope there will always be this choice for these.
