To be honest, I'm not sure what I was expecting. I bought the kids this for Christmas in the hopes that they would be able to use it fast on their own, saving me from having to push them on the swing or pretend to be engaged in yet another blatant game of hide-and-seek. Unfortunately, I recognized right away that my children wouldn't be in that situation. Having said that, I believe that with time they'll really like being able to do it on their own, and I found it to be both enjoyable and difficult. I can fit in it just fine even though I weigh 118 pounds. I feel I will need to take it down when the weather turns bad (read: rainy) because I'm not sure how well the material would hold up against the rain or harsher elements over the long term. However, I'm not sure it's fair to complain about this because it may be an issue with all slack lines.

This is a fantastic product if you're searching for something outdoor-based and entertaining for the whole family! It was a Christmas gift for my kids, and they enjoy the difficulty of crossing the fictitious lava pit.A word of warning, though: There's a good reason why the slackline should be set up at knee height, per the instructions. I discovered this after making the daring choice to cross the deadly lava pit. My confidence chose to abandon me about halfway across as my legs started to shake like a wiggling worm hitting the heated concrete. The events that followed made me regret my choice to set up the slackline at hip height. Both of my feet moved outside, causing the extremely tight line that had been sagging under the weight of my body to jump up as I descended. All that was left to do was roll over and fall helplessly into the lava pit of doom as soon as the sound of the slap could be heard and the pain started to rise. My voice went back to my teenage years of puberty, and I felt as though my manhood had vanished forever. My wife was laughing more loudly than she had ever laughed in her life, and I was trying to say "I'm okay" to her as my facial expressions were changing. My kids were encouraging me as I slowly regained consciousness and slowly developed superhuman abilities to crawl out of the molten pit of death.Because I neglected to read the Slackline Kit's directions, this Christmas will never be forgotten.

I considered getting one for a very long time. But I reasoned, "Too expensive for something I'm probably going to give up out of nervousness."Friends, during the past two months, this slackline and I have gone through a lot. I am happy to announce that I decided to take the risk because this line was less expensive, and I am very glad I did. Buy this if you are debating starting up but aren't sure. It's a fantastic start.The metal is somewhat weak all around. I used this 1-2 times per week, and the metal is beginning to show some signs of wear. The rachet's gears are starting to lose some of their sharpness. I recognize that can be a beginner's mistake.Unfortunately, the tree protectors are worthless. Online sources claim that you need trees that are far wider than what these guards offer. I no longer require them because I switched to an A frame configuration, but it's still something to consider.

Although this is the first slackline I've bought, I've owned and used many various ratchet straps previously. As long as you don't allow it get wet and rust, or let the strap get too dirty, it should survive for a very long time. This feels like a high-quality mechanism and a solid strap. As with any ratchet strap, lubricating the mechanism makes it much simpler to tension and release. Teflon-based bike chain oil is ideal and should last for a long time, but any oil is preferable than nothing.When the line is up, it's difficult for onlookers to unintentionally wander into it because to the high contrast orange color. The installation instructions are straightforward, but they don't go into any explanation about the tree saver cushions, the hand-hold top strap, or any advice that might be helpful when slacklining (what tension is a good place to start?). Although it is simple to get this information online, it would have been helpful if the provided instructions had included every component of the kit.Everything that was listed on the product page was included in the kit, which was carefully packaged. The carry sack (string-style backpack) tore the first time I used it, but it's still functional and obvious that the carry sack is just an inexpensive add-on and not a crucial component of the real slack line.Overall, I'm utterly happy, particularly given that I bought one of the least expensive slackline kits I could find. Excellent value for the money.

This line is quite strong. I can quickly and alone set it up for the toddlers, but I am not strong or tall enough to set it up for someone above 5 feet. My husband needs to tighten it up while we climb a ladder. I can hang on and play my heart out at my weight of 155 while it consistently supports his weight of 250.We have two toddlers who adore this for children. Just endless hours of entertainment, from flipping on the rings to creating new courses of challenge for them. They must have it one month and we the next since the height needs to be altered.My elder kid, 11, put a lot of effort into finishing it and, depending on how tight the line is, is really good at it.Because of its durability, adults, teenagers, and children should all use this product.It's challenging. Most adults at the Fourth of July gathering we took it to could only manage a few "rings/rungs." Kids do better ;) but I can hang from the rings and bars for several minutes at a time without falling off, and I feel surprisingly supported.For those who prefer swinging over hanging, we purchased a knotted disc swing. They'll spend a lot of time on the swing.

This slack line gear has really pleased me! Although I enjoyed my previous Gibbon Surf Line, I believe this one is a much MUCH better purchase. It is less priced, comes with a carrying case (my surfline didn't), tree protection (which cost $15 extra from Gibbon), an arm trainer, and is really packaged much better and has a smaller overall footprint. The line grip feels really high quality and like it will last a very long time, and I ADORE the color! The ratchet is smaller and easier to control. The blue one was mine. In addition, it is unusually long—60 feet. You can keep it shorter and mess about much more, but that is long enough to get any good surfing going. I heartily suggest getting this package for any slack line addict in your life. It also makes a terrific Christmas or birthday present, or just a last-minute impulse buy for yourself. I was hesitant to purchase a slackline at random from Amazon. There are a couple dozen brands to pick from, and they all have images and descriptions that are similar. Either they would be all rubbish or all nice. I can't speak for the other companies, but the slackline and ratchet from Macaco are of great quality. The ratchet is really strong, and the webbing is thick. When I first put everything in the carrying bag that came with it, the string broke loose. Because it came with a complimentary bag, I decided against buying it, therefore I won't let that influence my review.This is now something I've done half a dozen times with different folks, and everyone loves it. It delighted my 60-year-old parents for a few hours as well as my 4- and 5-year-old niece and nephew. In case someone falls, we just slant the line so that it is only a few inches above the ground.Anyone wishing to enjoy themselves outside should do this, in my opinion.

Okay. I won't lie, then. I didn't trust a friend when she advised me to get this item because it is so fantastic. Nevertheless, I went ahead and acquired it.HOLY COW, I'M SO GLAD I DID! Due to our decision to have a picnic today, I took it with me to the beach or park. And virtually everyone in the park was standing in line and requesting permission to play. We bought this for our children (6, 8, and 10), and they adore it! Adults and children as old as 4 have both used it. For the little ones, a trainer loop is included. It has kept taught while being extended for around 40 feet without needing to be adjusted. The only restriction is that we must use a bungee to join the top and bottom lines in winds over 20 mph in order to prevent the vibration from sounding like a helicopter taking off. Excellent value!

Slacklines are typically set up between two trees, with the line running parallel to the ground. The distance between the trees depends on the length of the slackline and the amount of tension you want on the line.
