This enables you to test different camera sites with nothing more than the monitor, a camera, and a ladder because it has a power supply outlet to power the camera. Save time by not spending hours extending wires to a position just to discover that you can't acquire the desired camera angle from that area. Once your camera is set up, you can also use it to adjust the viewing angle directly from the camera rather than using a cell phone and another person in front of the watching panel. The battery life is the only drawback. Use the battery sparingly or prepare to charge it in between uses if you intend to hang more than 5 or 6 cameras in a single day.

monthThe tester certainly performs an excellent job, however the main reason I purchased it was because the PoE stopped transmitting current to the camera. Without this feature, IP cameras are essentially a financial waste.I reached out to Amazon, but they weren't able to do anything other than direct me to the retailer as the item was more than a month old. I was quite irate when I made this transaction. I called the business, and they requested that I return the equipment to China for repair. The unit is generally a nice unit, but the network connection being underneath the unit is not the best design. Additionally, while using the tester on a ladder, your tummy rests on the plugs for the network and power output, which may eventually cause damage. battery has a long life. While a touchscreen is undoubtedly useful, HDMI input has a 2-second delay that makes it difficult to program any device using a mouse. I'll give this gadget three stars.I would give it an additional star if a sibling firm could handle the warranty directly from the USA.JACK REALLY BACKS UP HIS PRODUCT, AND AFTER CONTACTING ME, HE WILL SEND ME A NEW UNIT FREE OF CHARGE.Without a doubt, 5 stars for the support.

The Evertech CCTV Multifunction Tester Pro is essential if you've ever had to install or maintain outdoor video cameras. In the past, I had to repeatedly climb a ladder or communicate with someone inside who was watching a monitor with 2-way radios to find out if it was focused. Let's try it now. You may work independently and save time thanks to this equipment. It will produce 12 volts at 1 amp for the tester. Given that most cameras function between 500 and 700 millivolts, this is more than adequate. Use the power that has already been run to the camera; otherwise, the CCTV tester will power the device. Connect the tester's input and the camera using the provided BNC cable. Now that you can see exactly what the camera sees on the tester, you may set the frame and modify the focus. The video is shown at 960 x 240 resolution. It would still be worthwhile even if the tester only used this feature, but there are so many more features. Using the audio cable that is included, you can examine sound output. If you use PTZ cameras, the Tester will ask the camera a series of questions and give its ID and protocall (Supports 20 or so PTZ camera types). The tester will then allow you to change every aspect of the camera. Additionally, it contains a colorbar generator for testing NTSC and PAL monitors (11 or so types). The Tester includes a cable-end tester for this purpose and also examines tel and ethernet cable. The Tester also features a Volt/Ohm meter, however this is where you need to exercise caution. I've noticed that there are two different Tester models available; one has a Volt/Ohm function and the other does not. The ability to verify continuity and AC/DC voltages makes this a nice feature. Look for 4 holes near the bottom of the tester where the probes would plug in to quickly determine if the model you are considering includes the Volt/Ohm capability. If they are absent, the feature is not present in this model. Another thing to keep in mind is that this device uses a 3000Ah, 3.7V Li-Ion battery. Manufacturers claim a 4-hour charge will last 12 hours of use. Although I used it multiple times for a total of about two hours, the battery full icon has remained on Full. This felt a little overstated to me. The Tester can be used with the included plug-in power adaptor, and it will still be able to charge the battery, only more slowly.Finally, I say, buy it! Then inform your friend on the other end of the two-way radio that you are no longer in need of him.

Since I have only had it for a short while, I am unable to comment on how durable it will be, but so far it has been useful for wire testing, camera installation, and adjustment. I have used this with a number different brands of TVI, IP, and HAD cameras, including Alibi TVI and IP cameras, Vivotek IP cameras, and others. The battery shelf life is the only issue I have. It seems to have plenty of life for the work, but if I don't use it for a day or two, it starts to drain (yes I power it completely down). Not a big deal because I always charge it the night before I use it.I would suggest this IPC tester to everyone as it is reliable.
