This dulse is fantastic; it's young, soft, little salty, and really tasty.Purchase it right away because there won't be any fresh for another year. Fresh, did I say that?FYI: My grandpa was from New Brunswick, and I'm a transplanted Canadian living in California. grew up eating dulse but found it difficult to come by here (yes, have had the stuff from Maine in Whole Foods, not the same).Getting it fresh from Eastern Canada wasn't always possible, despite the fact that the internet made it more accessible.My advice is to take advantage of it now because there won't be another harvest for a year. Why would someone dry it out further when it would be sufficiently dry by March?

I adore utilizing this product to obtain iodine and a few other minerals that are necessary but need travel to obtain. When I open it and sprinkle it on salads and other dishes, it also smells like the Atlantic Ocean. It is a fantastic product, and I have discovered that adding it to my food never changes the flavor. I've used it in salads, chicken dressings, the barbecue sauce for bbq chicken pizza, and a variety of other foods. None of them experience altered taste or scent. However, I did put it on an egg sandwich, which occasionally gave me a taste of the flakes but improved the flavor of the bacon, egg, and sausage. Maybe it's because no extra flavour can be applied to the flakes in any way.
